Excellent reaction. It's so hard to choose with Megadeth. I personally want to see you react to all of Rust in Peace, but at the same time they're entire catalog is full of bangers. I recommend digging into this album, and Countdown to Extinction and you'll find some really incredible work 🤘
Wake up dead was a funny one when I grew old enough to to interpret what the song was actually about 😂😂, I was in it for the riffs and solos at first, but then after dating I was like….. yikes, yet so relatable lmao
Rust in Peace is their best album at their musical peak. Peace Sells… Buy Who’s Buying is an elite album. The Conjuring and Good Mourning/Black Friday are must listens of this one.
Rust in Peace was the pinnacle of Megadeth (imo) maybe a little Countdown to Extinction as well. Then they went more mainstream metal with Youthanasia then moreso still with Crystic Writings. The World Needs a Hero was a nice return to some old school Megadeth but they were past their prime at that point. Now Dave's voice is unlistenable unfortunately.
My first exposure was Killing Is My Business. I just wasn't sold on them until Peace Sells. That one had me fighting myself over who was better. Metallica or Megadeth? Rust in Peace settled the debate.
@@lafayettecatron156 Yeah, I agree. In My Darkest Hour is my favorite off of that album. But, Set The World Afire makes me want to break shit. Sooo good!
The Megadeth Icon Interview Featuring Dave Untamed Mustang talking about his life and Music Career would be a great place to start. ⭐🌠⚡🌋🙈🙉🙊😖😵🔥💥😎😉😳🤠🤙🤘🤗🤑🙃🤔
Great reaction.... You have a lot of Megadeth songs to choose your next react. Good morning/ Black Friday, My last words, Rattlehead, Ashes in your mouth
Somewhere ono yt there should be cycle of show named "Behind the music" , it includes metallica, deth and some other bands as well. And PLEASE , listen to original versions of megadeth songs , there is huge difference between remasters and originals. Old ones have that original thrashy sound and spirit of 80s
You obviously became a huge Megadeth fan very quickly! Which is awesome! Suggestions, suggestions...OK. It's not a bad idea that you mentioned, to finish all the songs from the album "Rust in Peace". But, I would have one of their songs that only a couple of people reacted to on entire UA-cam, and that is the last song from the same album "Peace Sells..." called "My Last Words". If you could do a studio version of it with words. Really really strong song. Thank you for reminding us what it felt like to listen to this treasure for the first time long ago.
@@pressman1788 The Final Kill is better than the 2002 remastered version, but I hate what was done to the first track. Separating 'Last Rites' and 'Loved to Deth' was a crime, imho. When Last Rites cut to Loved to Death, as in the original recording, it just grabs you by the short hairs and kicks you in the ass. The remaster simply does not do that.
You should definetly finish listening to Rust in Peace its typically regarded as their best album every track on there goes absolutely hard and you'd very much enjoy 5 magics and the title track. Also the Peace Sells album is absolutely fantastic 10/10 would recommend you reactor to Good Mourning/Black Friday and Wake Up Dead. As far as where to get some knowledge about Dave and the band look up their VH1 behind the music episode on youtube.
Megadeth is my all time favorite band so it’s always great to see people giving them the credit they deserve. I would definitely recommend checking out the song In My Darkest Hour and in my opinion Ashes in your Mouth is one of there most underrated songs.
My favorite band! Thanks for going down this rabbit hole!!!! Im here for it!!!!!! Their new album "The Sick,, The Dying, and The Dead" is awesome imo. 4 videos from it so far.
I forgot to mention, Dave released a book in 2010, brief history of his career from panic, to Metallica, to megadeth, and everything in between. As a kid I had this DVD set called “The arsenal of megadeth” it was so good, full of interviews and music videos
Megadeth has many great songs which feature bass lines which stand out in the song. I have wondered for a long time if Cliff influenced Dave during his time in Metallica which is why those bass lines are there. There is so much Metal were you can't even hear a bass.
New Megadeth which released this September check out the video we'll be back off the album the sick the dying and the dead just so you know Dave mustaine just turned 61 and is still kicking ass
Please react to Symphony of Destruction. I'm a MEGADETH fan since I was in Highschool early 1993 here in the Philippines. They are my no. 1 over Metalica, and Sepultura 😊 by the way there song She Wolf is the song I personally like you to listen with. ❤❤😊
I'm still a big fan of "Killing is my business and business is good"... Imo, their best thrash album 😉... please react to Mechanix from that album and Metallica's "The Four Horsemen"...
Megadeth's 2nd album "Peace sells, but who's buyin'?" was a classic thrash metal album... it went gold (half million copies) in 1986 and got 2 music videos on MTV ('Wake up dead' and 'Peace sells') before Metallica ever filmed a music video... However, Metallica's 3rd album 'Master of Puppets' would sell platinum-plus (over 1 million copies) in the US in 1986, twice Megadeth's sales, and it was very hard on Dave to see his former band doing better... Other great songs from it are: "Devil's Island"... "Good mourning/ Black Friday"... 🔥🔥🤘🤘 It was also the last album to feature original members Chris Poland (guitar) and the late Gar Samuelson (drums), who were fired in 1987 because of excessive drug abuse and pawning the band's gear for drugs. Gar Samuelson passed away in 1999.
You mentioned in the tornado of souls video "I want to learn how to speak guitar" - that was a cool line! I would suggest checking out the Van Halen Eruption solo from Live Without a Net to see just how to speak through a guitar.
The Peace Sells tour when they opened for Alice Cooper was pure GOLD ! It was music performed by two ultra professional bands . They both BURNED THE HOUSE DOWN ! If you are truly a hard rock/metal fan you have to give a real good listen to Alice Cooper's albums " Love it to Death " " Killer " " School's Out " and " Billion Dollar Babies " ! They PERFECTED THE DETUNED ERIE SOUND and can't be matched in making a horror atmosphere if you have ANY IMAGINATION . " Halo of Flies " is a hard rock masterpiece on " Killer " . PK
Rattlehead or mechanix off of Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good! the first cd was so raw in your face thrash metal and the story behind how they made the cd is great
I just love Megadeth so I'm happy with any reactions of theirs. One song that I personally love is Kill the King. It does not seem to get much attention which I don't understand so give it a shot.
Yeah, this title track was, and still is, phenomenal metal. I love the 'sass' too, and how his voice cracks a bit at times, reflecting the anger I think he intended to convey ("If there's a new way, I'll be the first in line...but it better work this time"). This one is tied with my other 2 favorites of theirs, 1 of which you've already reviewed, "Wake Up Dead"...but the other I think you should give a listen to is "High Speed Dirt": it's fast, aggressive, and a song about one of his hobbies, skydiving (the video is really cool).
You should do a double reaction to Megadeth's Mechanix and Metallica's The Four Horsemen, as they are the same song with different lyrics/tempo. Dave Mustaine wrote Mechanix and took it to Metallica when he joined. They didn't like the lyrics (Mechanix is about a garage attendant having sex with a customer and is a load of car based sexual innuendos), so changed them to be about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (the guitar riff sounds like a galloping horse). Mustaine was then kicked out of Metallica due to his drug use and formed Megadeth, and recorded the Mechanix with them. To make it a bit different, he sped it up and added a small intro. Both versions are good - Metallica's has better lyrics, Megadeth's is heavier/faster.
Rust In Peace is Badass, but I say skip around so many bangers on the others. I say try Ashes In Your Mouth, Good Mourning Black Friday, Set The World Afire, Hook In Mouth, Addicted To Chaos, Trust and Crush Em. I could go on and on and on lol. Great reaction by the way.
There is a VH1 documentary on Megadeth - 'Behind the Music'...but it only covered the band until 2001. Link below: ua-cam.com/video/wjeuG_MPtsY/v-deo.html Dave Mustaine disbanded Megadeth in 2002 after a nerve injury, but reformed the band w/ new members in 2004... recording the albums - 'The system has failed' (2004)... 'United Abominations' (2007)... 'Endgame' (2009)... '13' (2011)... 'Super Collider' (2013)... 'Dystopia' (2016)... and now the current album in 2022 - 'The sick, the Dying and the Dead'. Bassist David Ellefson returned in 2010, but was fired in 2021 after a scandal went public involving a leaked video and a teenage girl... He has since started new projects, including Kings of Thrash, which plays Megadeth songs.
There is a 10 episode documentary on megadeth that you can watch on UA-cam. This is the first one in the series ua-cam.com/video/87YF-a9R4fE/v-deo.html

One of my best favorites Megadeth rules I don't know if you tried good morning Black Friday or wake up dead or go to hell those are others of what he did
Honestly, I would love hearing your reaction to the album United Abominations. It's my favourite Megadeth album. I think every song on that album is a BANGER.
If you wanna start with any Megadeth album , start with Killing is my Business ... And Business is good. It's their debut album with great riffs, drums and lyrics and has to be when Dave was at his most pissed off and trying to prove his own worth to himself. Then we were lucky enough for Megadeth to grace us all with the presence of Pace Sells... But Who's Buying which is probably the greatest thrash metal album ever!!!
You are in The Sweet Spot here. This is a pretty game-changing record back in the day and I would say compositionally most of it holds up. The cover of superstitious is probably the weakest track on here, but it does let the band do some Swagger in the same way that these boots did on the first record. The hour after this is a heroin diary made audio documents. I remember not being a huge fan of the time but the remastered version helps quite a lot to really hear what's going on. I think you could truck through all of this particular record... P sells but who's buying and be quite content for a bit. Cheers. Mars.
As far as Metallica goes, watch Cliff Em’ All and Some Kind Of Monster. I’m sorry that I didn’t provide any helpful information for any Megadeth documentaries. 🤷🏼♂️ One bit of helpful information to keep in mind is that Megadeth have gone through a number of lead guitarists, with Dave remaining the constant, and up until recently, Dave Ellefson (Bass) Long story. But you’re hearing the work of Chris Poland on this song and and era for Megadeth. Marty Friedman is who you’re hearing on the Rust in Peace tracks so far. They are both exceptional legendary guitar players. Marty is kind of like John Frusiciante with the Chili Peppers. He comes and goes as a free spirit, and as he pleases. Hopefully that’s helpful.
If Dave decides to go for president. I will vote for him. Who is with me?
Over these two Morons, id vote for Dave evey time.
"Open your mind before you open your mouth." I dig that.

My Last Words is probably my favorite off the album, but they are all bangers, even the cover of I Ain't Superstitious.
