- In this guide I go over some riven mechanics that you can pull off in your games to win. In my 5 tips I cover simple combos, and wall hopping guidelines to help you practice your mechanics. Hopefully after watching this video you get a basic overview of what to practice and how to perform certain actions as Riven.
If you're new to Riven this guide might help or even if you're a veteran you may find something useful. Riven is a difficult champion to master so if you practice her mechanics and combos you will improve.

you for got the QW cancel. basically it's fast combo but with w and it makes a difference in short trading. and then continue with aa e out + q
qw cancel isnt a thing? double cast is either ew or tiamat w... your q has no cancel mechanics lol.
i did however see a cancel that uses an aa but the timing seems almost impossible. but again you are using the aa to cancel the w not your q.
@@joshbrucks that's what I'm saying. I just didn't say it. Qw is another form of fast q aa cancel. If you just do q then mash w you will get a delay. Unless you do like how you fast q but movement command and then w you will pop off your w faster. There's a video somewhere that explains that very minor detail that can make or break a qw

+1 for wall hopping, But E is used for the larger walls that have a weirder texture, some you can do without E, but others it's a must or you won't be able to jump over them. Put it like this when you are next to the wall E you allow to "enter" the wall or more precisely Hitbox the character to enter and by using E Q3 you go straight into the wall and by using Q3 you cross it but before that you have to know where to dash with E because it doesn't happen everywhere. With the raptors there is a right place, by the Red buff wall, in front of the long wall in front of the red buff and the Mid lane wall on the blue buff side there are exact points where they need to be learned and by knowing where they are you can boost your self-esteem playing Riven you won't worry that you won't succeed with the jump and + when you are with R ON you have a better chance to jump over the wall.

how do i know when it's best to do a fast q combo and when to q dance?
fast combo is for getting as much damage out as possible. q dance is when youre trying not to take alot of damage and dodge abilities like morde q or sett w

you didnt mention when explaining e mechanics that sometimes for no reason at all you will go opposite from your cursor instead of towards it. the "backwards e glitch" been around since she came out, never gonna be fixed.

Do you play with auto attack on or off? And if you do happen to play with it off, whats the difference, why not press 's' for stop, are her combos more fluid if its off? I ask because i saw years ago boxbox jad his auto attack on but i saw theshy have it off and was wondering why. Great vid btw, could you make some combos for team fights from beginner to advanced
i play with auto attack on and use S to stop. some players play with auto attack off because they want to have more control over their champion and not have to press S. theres no difference, it's all just personal preference tbh. and ty for the support! i have more coming soon

ew is waaay more useful than eq. your w animation takes up like half the stun, so canceling that is HUGE. who cares about canceling the dash on your e.
