Awesome video. Really appreciate that you dont try to sound overly cheerful. It's a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of vloggers out there who seem obnoxiously excited. Love the ribcage Jean as well. Find that they do stretch/mold to your body a tad, I recommend taking the smallest size you can fit into.

I know, I finally wore jeans today, and I only lasted 3 hours hahaha. Post-isolation can be both of our times to shine!
Ok I did it. My first ribcage jeans arrived today and I have ZERO regrets. I feel like they're going to change my life!!!!! 🙌🏽
When I was in high school in the late 80’s I couldn’t find jean long enough for me and I was on the thicker side so I would buy the Levi’s for me since they came in longer inseams and I would spend hours taking out the seams and reseeding by hand to make them skin tight. They were so tight that I would have to cut the front pockets out so the print wouldn’t show through and I could barely feet through the openings 🤣🤣 Those were the days but sadly Levi’s won’t make a 35/36 inseam in plus size 🤷🏽♀️

I stumbled upon this video a couple of weeks ago, and I love how informative it is. We have similar-ish body styles/are the same height, so I ordered two pairs of the ribcage jeans, and I absolutely love them! I’ve never had a pair of jeans fit me so well. After watching some of your other videos and following you on IG, I find your content really refreshing (for example, I had no idea about Everlane’s union busting, and your outline of different brands’ responses in a time of BLM was extremely helpful). I’ve never commented on a UA-cam video before (I usually just have makeup tutorials playing in the background while I wash dishes), but I wanted to let you know that you’re doing awesome work!

Are you also true to size 27 in say topshop and zara jeans? im curvy with thicker thighs and booty and normally fit a 8 in zara and 28 in topshop, but some of the reviews are saying to size up, not sure how you felt after owning them for awhile now? thanks!

The rib cages look so nice on you, I tried them when the wide leg version first came out and they looked like I was trying to pull my trousers to my chest, like I was all legs and and a head, 🤣 short torso people need to avoid if they don't want regrets.
Still looking for normal high rise (10.5-11) in straight leg and a zip fly, I just bought my last pair of skinnies as I like them for winter and I didn't have the basic black, but any jeans that adds bulk to my bottom half is very flattering so straights are awesome! I have one already and I've been looking for more for years
I wish they made ribcage denim in plus sizes. I want a pair but I'm too thick for their largest size. They all look amazing on you though. So glad to have found your channel. You are stunning btw.
The ribcage is the best fit!!! They carry a ton of inseam lengths. And make sure to check the warehouse sale & end of season sales... you can find a pair for like $30-50 🤩
The Levi’s balloon jeans are great! They have a really high waist too, and I think the curved hip part looks flattering on me. Maybe check it out once the whole craziness around us settles down. Take care :)

I love your style, and now want every pair in this video. I've been on a Madewell kick lately, I love the Cali demi boot jeans, but interested in ribcage jeans. I'm only 5'4" and not sure how that high of a rise will look on my body type. Maybe the 501s would be a better fit.
you'd be surprised! I'm 5'2" but super hourglassy and my favorite rise is 11.5" - if you have a hi rise in your closet measure it from the crotch and see what it is, that'll tell you :)
DUDE the random gaps are such a struggle - i've never found a pair of jeans i loved that didn't have a crazy weird waist fit 😔👊 but here's to holding out hope

This randomly showed up in my recommendations and I gotta day this was really helpful! Since you mentioned you work in fashion I was wondering if you had any recommendation for lower waist denim? I am short with really long legs and a tiny tiny torso so everything I wear naturally fits high waisted on me and I would like to have something that fits below the belly button, especially coz my torso is heavier down bottom.
You could maybe try the mid-rise styles in Levi's or even Zara.

look into lee jeans they make some good stuff. having said that 501 is my go to mens jeans especially their LVC premium shrink to fit line

gapping is my biggest problem too, my waist measurement is over 10in smaller than my hip measurement and it’s almost impossible to find jeans that fit in both the hip and waist!!

Yep yep yep yep. Me too and God forbid if I can never figure out my size. I have a pair of cream rib cage size 25. I was nervous that they were going to be tight. Big. And then I was trying to figure out 501s in the modern size. Well 27 way too baggy. 26 it's okay. 25. I have to soak them and wear them for the day. It takes me about a month or so to get to the second button I'm cool with that. I have many of the skinny jeans and they range from 25 to 27. It's crazy how their sizes are. Like every Gene is different every rise is different. But nothing will cut tight against your back. Nope.
You must sacrifice your legs and your knees for the Gap...

Vintage Levi’s are my favorite, 550s and 512s to be specific. Once I knew my size from a thrift store find, I started buying them online (EBay/Poshmark) and the 550s are super easy/affordable to find. The 512s I only recently found but they’re more fitted and I think the most flattering pants I’ve ever owned. My skinny jeans are all from American Eagle - can’t beat the sky high rises and rewards program. Definitely interested in trying the ribcage jeans soon

I really wanted a pair of ribcage, but my waist is sooo much smaller that my butt and thighs that there was a huuuuge gap at the back for me. So I settles the 501 cropped, and even tho they have a small gap they are really comfortable. I needed some tips on how to style them and luckily I found your video. Thank you so much. Loved the way you made the video. Also do you follow the Curly Girl Method? Your tight curls look so lovely ♥️
It's so hard to get a good pair that fits properly. I had 2 pairs that kinda fit, and I odnt know what it is but when one garment goes they all go. The thighs are ripping out finally, holes in my shirts, wear and tear finally taking its toll. Except for the stuff that is a literal hand me down from when my mom was my age. Those things are titanium. But now that they've gone I've ripped them apart to get a basis for the pattern, nd now I'm going to redesign them to be this cut! I love natural waist, straight cut jeans and I've never been able to get a pair! Especially being plus sized. I get what I get. So I'm super excited to make my own pair now. It's nice to hear your views on them, my immediate friends I've talked to dont get the appeal. They're all about the hip huggers, skinny, no way you're climbing a tree in those, and look at me like I'm crazy XD oh well. Loving the style analysis! Very cute outfits ^_^
I purchased some ribcage jeans thanks to your lovely vids!! They are awesome! However, one pair I noticed that the side seam is sewn with wider stitching. Such that when I'm wearing them, the sides almost look like they are pulling apart a tad (you can see the stitching a bit when I wear them). One ribcage jean pair has closer stitching and I didn't notice this.
I can't help but wonder if the wider stitching and the pulling apart effect is normal? I also bought 501 shorts and they do the same. The ribcage has the 1% elastane and the 501 shorts have none but regardless both have wider stitching and it seems to be a looser stitch. I checked my Wedgie fit jeans and they have closer stitching and therefore you can't see the seam pulling apart. Please help?

Would you say you bought the Levi’s ribcage jeans really tight so that they started to mold to your shape? I’ve been burned before by buying a pair of the 501s made and crafted too big and wish I had bought a much tighter pair. Your advice would be great! How much do they give over time 😊

Yesterday, I found out that Levi's, at least here in Canada, has some things 50% off. So, I told my mum and she agreed it'd be worth $55 CAD for a pair of good jeans. I ended up getting a dark grey wedgie fit.
My waist is 24" and I usually prefer jeans to have about an inch of wiggle room around the waist, but I've heard to get the smallest pair you can fit into to break it in, so I got a 24". I really hope I made a good choice, I'm a little nervous because I have wide hips

I have Ribcages and I love them! I wish they made a petite size because the 27 inseam is so long on me and makes me look shorter
This was so helpful! We have the same body type of bigger thighs/booty but not very wide hips and it's so hard to find denim that fits right or to even find others with that body type to know what will work, you convinced me to bite the bullet and get some ribcages 😂
