I was born and raised in the Netherlands, this is also where I currently live. However, I’m half Nigerian.
- How old are you?
I’m 20 years old, my birthday is on August 12.

Katrin second hand is not as available in many countries as in bigger countries (usa, the uk, france, germany, etc.). I live in a country with 5,6mil people so thrifting and second hand is very hard to find, and when you find second hand/thrift stores its often very bad quality last year h&m.
@@idabjernemose you can try online? theres depop and etsy or you can purchase the pricier items and just get some basics. expensive jeans can be worth it

I high key relate to the length to waist ratio struggle. Im a waist 22 length 36. Its hell to find jeans long enough for my legs and small enough for my waist
You're going to have a lot more luck getting jeans long enough for your legs and then tailoring the waist in. But a 36" inseam is rare in women's jeans.

OMG i'm salivating over the second pair. So flattering. All my jeans just look so cheap because everything is a jegging now. Even when i buy a pricey pair, they just end up getting ruined because they have too much elastic in them. I need real jeans
switching from stretchy “jeans” to actual denim made the biggest difference for me! instantly makes ur outfit look so much more expensive
Lisa Onuoha so true. Stretchy jeans are so juvenile. I’ve been on the look out for ‘real’ denim for ages and I thought I’d found them with Levi’s but I’m still not satisfied. There’s always some amount of spandex in them it just drives me crazy. The search continues

Great video we can see you know which style of jeans really flatters your body. My fav style of jeans is definitely mom since becoming a mama myself lol. Skinnys are just a no no on me as they've no room for my meaty bits lol.

The collusion jeans run very small! They have no stretch so you definitely want to size up. I normally get a 26 or 27 and couldn't get it over my legs!

In elementary school and half of middle school I used to have only 5 pairs of jeans but only 3 of them made me feel comfortable because I’ve always been self conscious. I hated those kids that would remember what I was wearing the day before cuz I would sometimes wear the same jeans twice in a week and idk why ppl were always disgusted by that like...I don’t stink and I don’t wear them at home I change my clothes whenever I get home. Anyways...I just remembered why I always had a bad memories when it came to jeans and I envy skinny girl with thigh gaps.

her technique isn’t something that anyone can just do themselves without experience! i’d suggest just taking urs to a tailor

Plz drop a video of your mum tailoring jeans coz ur fit soo perfect 😫 coz my waist is significantly smaller to my hips jeans never fit and the UA-cam tailoring videos are crap and in all of them you can see that it has been tailored but the seems are soo smooth with ur mums techniques
i’d honestly just suggest taking your jeans to a tailor!
I just struggle with my waist being 22, length 36 and my hips (technically my Butt since my hips are small, but my Butt is quite big) fit like a size 27 in waist. Its sutch a struggle. I love vintage style jeans, but they are often 100% cotton and that just doesnt stretch around my hips, so i keep searching while wearing my jeggings from h&m 😅😂
Honestly the best thing to do is either get a sewing machine or learn to sew. You wont always find clothes that fit. Learning to sew was one of the best things that i did.
Makada im actually really good at tailoring my clothes, though jeans are insanely hard to do. 1. The fabric is super super thick. 2. Jeans often have SO many details you have to fiddle around. 3. Its nearly impossible to sew a jeans waist size 4 inches in without making the hips smaller. Though, i tailor all my other pants with easier fabrics and fewer details.
