Still think a 3d betrayal at the house on the hill would be really cool to see
Easy way to shuffle the tiles is to make a paper/card copy of each tile and number them. Shuffle and deal the paper copies, then each player swaps out the paper for the 3d versions.
Or just number the tiles and use a number picker or even a D100 to choose.
Or with another copy of the game, using those tiles for drawing from the bag as normal and, as you said, swapping for the corresponding 3d one.
@@MuriKakari the d100 would grow increasingly more annoying the longer you go on, because it doesn't filter out already taken numbers.
Wouldn't work. The original tiles are randomized and placed into four separate stacks. When it's a player's turn they take one tile from any stack and place it down where it can benefit them. The 3D tiles would both be an extra step in the game and also telegraph which tiles remain which can influence a player's decision-making.
There definitely has to be a way to randomize the tiles to make this playable. It's so cute!
Roll 2-3D6 with the parts arranged in a grid - the first one-two get you to the right column you can then count down it the remaining die, with any now empty space skipped and looping back to the start.
Edit: Note I said D6 as those are die almost everyone should have a few of, use bigger die if its more convenient and you have them! (I can't remember how many tiles the game has, been a while but a D10 of column and D4 or D6 for the row if memory serves should be good...)
Carcassone is one of the biggest love of my boardgaming, it is basically what founded my fascination with the genre. The minis you have made are absolutely adorable, and although the result is likely unplayable (due to the difficulty of putting down the followers), I still really dig the aesthetics!
Looking forward to the next game you decide on 3D-ifying!
Fun fact, Carcassonne is a beautiful French medieval city ! As a French (having forgotten this board game) I was astonished at first when reading the title to see you mention the city 😂 then I understood ! Great job as always 💪✨
Ça va? I rode a bike down the canal du midi and camped overnight outside Carcassonne with an old girlfriend. Beautiful place.
So cute!
The only problem with playability here is the random drawing of your next tile to place.
They have enough space to place your gamepieces.
I've played this game sooo many times :D
Murray, you're missing out. This is a GREAT game. Watch the TableTop episode about it and you'll fall in love with the game immediately.
I am loving these 3D games!
"Ticket to ride" &/or "Clue" would be SUPER COOL in 3D!!!😆😆😆
Love the good ol fashioned tiny bits of wood and tedious hard work. Could be cool to see a video comparing what you could do with a 3d printer vs hand crafting with a time limit to complete the same project. Love the content! Keep it up!
Quick tips for resin casting with polyurethane 😊
1: Upside-down is your friend. Glue your piece to the surface you want to be the top, great golden rule.
2: for itty bitty bits like the tower tops or small 28mm parts, using a disposable pipette to put the resin in the mold can help both getting the resin in a small hole, and also add a greater force than gravity for pushing the material in/air bubbles out!
3: Robert Tolone on UA-cam is a wonderful channel for anything/everything casting/mold making!
Thanks for the exceptional content as always y'all! Very refreshing to see a more 'handcrafted' build without printing or lasers!
Ado. Minis like this are something I could get lost in for weeks.
Ticket to ride would be a cool game to see 3d
Love these tiles! They are adorable. But then again, Carcassonne is my all-time favourite game, so maybe I'm not entirely unbiased. :)
That so cute! I would love to see 3D Agricola (or Caverna if dwarfs are more fun) and Castles of Mad King Ludwig.
I like to believe those trees are to scale with the towers and stand a hundred or so feet tall.
These micro-macro maps are amazing!
The Labyrint or Munchkin would be cool aswell. I would love to see some cool Munchkin characters from you.
5:57 - I'm sorry for my inner 5th grader but I laughed quite a bit
You could try to make 3D Arcadia Quest or Masmorra. Could be fun.
But awesome job on the Carcassonne
Yeah Carcassonne is my favourite board game!
Great stuff! For a new board game project: Clue or Kill Doctor Lucky would be awesome!
I would truly love to see someone come in and teach the Tabletop Time crew how to work with resin. Because they get so close every time and just need a TINY bit of help. Plus a really good teaching video for the subs
This won't be as popular a video as your warhammer stuff - but I really, really enjoyed watching this. Nice to remind you that tabletop stuff isn't just wargaming.
Carcassonne is one of my favourite games, and this is such a charming set. It was really fun seeing this idea come together.
Ahhhh Balsa... I remember the distant times of frustrating modeling in school with that stuff.
I'm sure it has it's uses but I never found them.
I'm a wargaming grognard who grumbles about how people don't know how to make stuff any more because they just 3D print it. So I was happy to see this. I love the process and the result.
It would be really cool to see you all tackle some of the expansions asemwell.
Also I challenge you to make a 3D 40k monopoly board
Heck yeah.... #MoreMurray and Jen!!!! Must be my birthday (almost 04/30).
I have a Lego Carcassonne set I made. To play, I lay them out in a grid and roll dice to determine the row and column.
LOVE Carcassonne. It's a great strategy game with enough depth for big strategy nerds like me, but also simple and approachable enough that I can convince my wife and other non strategy nerds to play with me.
Bonus: You can add/remove expansions which increase/decrease complexity depending on your audience. Basic Carcassonne is pretty freaking simple.
Terraforming Mars would be an interesting game to make into 3D.
really love it, be diffficult to randomise what tiltes each player draws but still love it and it looks the best..
As Aussies you should come pretty close to the correct pronunciation when you say it like this:
Car (the vehicle)
Kaa (the snake from "The Jungle Book")
Son (a male child)
Car-kaa-son
With the emphasis on "son", yeah!
Hey, European chap here. It's pronounced 'Karka-sonn' that's a hard sounding stop at the end, to rhyme with Tron, not Bone.
Hope that's useful for you 🙂
Pretty nice, though I think the houses could have benefitted from a bit of sanding to smooth out the surfaces. Nice little project, as always ^^
#Idea for the next game : CLANK! or Flamecrafter
Carcassonne is similar to Dominoes - putting fitting tiles together. And blocking roads or cities with your meeples to get points. Who finally have bigger cities/roads/fields - get more points and wins. It's simple but fun game.
I R Lazy
Commenting just to tell you that the cartoon you’re referencing is I Am Weasel (I Are Baboon) which was a kind of tag along short that went with Cow & Chicken. Classic Cartoon Network!
When I was a kid, my absolute favourite board game was Labyrinth (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labyrinth_%28board_game%29 )
It would be awesome to see it in 3D and I think the style lends itself very well to it
I second this, haha! One of my faves as well. Please TTT gang, do Labyrinth! ;D
Between Two Castles, Isle of Skye, or for a really impressive build 7 Wonders - with 7 wonders it would be really amazing if you could also make war banners and maybe treasure vaults and if the wonder build could incorporate the base resource made by that city-state some how.
I dont know if its still produced, or if there even is an english version of it, but i think a 3D miniature version of the boardgame „Wer wars“ could be very cool, it is a game from ‚Ravensburger‘ and as a player you have to rescue a castle from the evil magician
How cute would a mini Candyland board look!
Very cool guys! Do you guys know the board game of labyrinth? you could do little epic size minis for the treasures maybe have little magnets in them so you could actually collect them as you played instead of just flipping a card
This was fun! I also initially read this as cascarones, which are confetti filled eggs, and wondered how you were going to turn those into 3D tiles. Then I was really confused when you pulled out a board game, then I realized I am an idiot. Then end!
I'd love to see your take on the pillars of the earth board game. It already has a beautifully illustrated game board, but 3D just feels different.
the best board game!
it was almost the right pronunciation ^^ nice work
I've done something similar with little houses, but I stole the hotels out of a monopoly game and just repainted them.
I love when a youtube channel spend a lot of time repeating that they don't know what they are doing.
[kar-kah-sonn] ;) Great game and I love the style you chose.
It doesn’t matter how you pronounce something as long as the recipient understood what you said, you said it fine enough 18:30
Nah mate, I literally have no idea what game they are talking about, even though I'm a huge fan of a game that uses similar tiles called Carcasonne.
A neat project but personally I'd have kept the original tiles as is and made copies of them for the 3d tiles (photocopy and paste onto thick card or foamboard). Give each one a code / number which matches between the game tile and 3d tile so you can draw from the bag then take the relevant matching 3d tile.
One day if you all are feeling extra ambitious it would be great to see like 3d zombicide, resident evil or something similar
9:10 Far-Straying PolyUlthwé-n
I almost don't have the heart to remind them of how you randomly select tiles during play.
"Now chuck all your loving-made custom tiles into this here bag so they can grind and clack against one another as the designers intended."
The rivers are great
I'd like to see chess with Warhammer models. Although there isn't much (if any) alterations needed.
YESSSS!
Amazing ✨✨✨
That looks cute! Too bad it's unplayable like this, but sometimes a good hobby project is just a good hobby project!
I knownit would be almost impossible but also so cool if you'd do this for everdell or wingspan
How are you supposed to fit meoples on those (meople is the technical term for board game people)
I would love to ser this but with Twilight Imperium
so cool! now let‘s shuffle the deck… errr damn :D
You guys never really played the game. Still cute for some other game ^^
I even have some freaky friends who went to Carcassonne to play Carcassonne
Cowdoy died then Dave was missing from a video
I cracked the code
Dave is Cowdoy.
yes
People outside the walled cities are giants. Attack on Titan takes place in Carcassonne.
Do the Game of Thrones board game next or the Dune board game
I believe it’s pronounced Car-kah-zonn (with the french R though). It’s a real town in France!
Almost, not with a z sound but with sss
And I have no idea how to describe the “onne” sound x) maybe like you’d pronounce “on” in “on and off” ?
It is a really beautiful city though, I loved visiting it whilst on holidays 😊
That is super cute! I am kind of curious to see how that town would look next to the WH ultra-miniatures. Thanks for making this!
Twilight Imperium custom fleets.
I want to see Neuroshima Hex made into 3D models...
i say it like "caca zon" kinda but also i call it something new everytime because i cant pronounce it lol crack zone carcus swan carcasia cansiopia so on lol
Google "Carcassonne" and you'll notice why the name is so appropiate. (If you get the same image as me, from wikipedia, it's meridian clear)
Please please please craft a gloomhaven board.
This was unexpected for the level of talent you all have. Really? 20:05 Really? This looks like a rush job to get a homework project done. Thumbs up for the try.
Honestly..I just thought it was me..the final result looks like something my 10 year old would achieve. It DEFINATELY felt like a rushed, half arsed vid to make up some sort of UA-cam quota.
The wood could have used a little sanding and a base coat…
I think it's namely because the priming is the only colour for the wood, and after having to do so many houses, the dots of the windows were a big half-assed because they had to do literal hundreds of them. Think it was more of fatigue rather than laziness.
They should do this with monopoly
its pronounced Carcassonne, obviously
i think just Chess could turn out epic :D
Nice👌
i love every Jazza Studios channel but it physically pains me every time anyone tries to use silicone or resin 🥴
Ngl that mold making process was painful to watch. What was the thinking process there?
Great gme i have all expansions but about scale its like the kathedraal that habe land of 9 tiles and castles can big and small so i love watching it but this is a no go for me you missed the point of some points
The silicone section was nearly unwatchable 😬
i have this
Go hero quest it's an old school game
It’s not called “carcarzone”.
Your not far off with your accent, it's CAR (like a car) KA (again, like the first sound in car) and SONNE, (Like son, but with the n a little more longer, the E in french isn't really pronounced like in english, it's better to sometime forget it for better prononciation)
Carcazone...
*_It sure is cute, but if you 3D printed it it would have taken 1/10th of the time._*
This is the first time it looks like it was built by a 7 years old. I know you have a short schedule but bruh... come on, step up your game and make actual art and craft, not some very awkward-not-very-good-looking pieces of wood.
