Did you know? You can actually use two controllers to control a single player. Why would you want this? Because playing katamari reroll with two people fighting for control is the most fun you can have on the switch. Seriously I recommend you try this it’s hilarious good fun.

Can you connect 2 controllers (for example 2 dualshocks) with one stick to the switch and play with 2 players (different players for co-op or versus) or will you need 2 USB adapters for 2 different players?
You want to talk about redundant uses of wireless adapters? I plugged my NES Classic Retro Receiver into my Wiimote and synced the Wiimote to the receiver. What? You never connected a Wiimote to itself before?

So i bought it and i love it! It really lets me have fun as i once did without the dust problem with the joycons.
Looking at getting one of these for Smash Brothers Ultimate, so I can use either the Xbox One or Wii U Pro controller for second player, that way we don't have to have another Pro controller.
This is helllllla cool.
This is a great item and definitely worth the purchase. As someone who doesn't even own a switch, using this to play smash with some friends with my own Xbox one controller is great. Since it has multiple uses, it beats paying $70 for a controller I can only use on one system. The only issue I have is some latency issues with certain positions, such as under the table. Overall, spending $20 to basically upgrade your controller to a multi-platform device is great.

Been using the Wii mote and nunchuk for smash ultimate with this. It is a great product.
I kinda want to buy this, but I need to know 2 things.
Will this work with a 3rd party PS3 or a 3rd party wireless XBOX360 controller? (Gamesir G3S)
If you grab a phone charger, plug it into there, and attempt to sync, does it work?

For future reference - 'DINPUT' is pronounced D-Input which is short for DirectInput. And XINPUT is pronounced X-Input and refers to the XInput API used to communicate with Xbox controllers.
I think that that's just how he likes to say those terms.
This works great. They say you can adjust the rumble. I haven’t had any luck. But other than that my DS4 controller works great on the Switch!

You've always been able to connect pro controller, just Bluetooth.

I understand that this is an old review but I have a question. I'm trying to use my Xbox One controller on my PS3 but a couple of the buttons still aren't working, mainly the "Home" buttons as well as the right joystick. I've read over the manual and updated the firmware and still haven't been able to fix it, any idea what to do?

On Amazon they sell one of these with a cord that allows you to plug the adapter into the switch while in handheld mode

I wish someone would make an actually frame data video testing the input lag of the stick compared to 1st party input lag. For example joycon/pro-controller have the usual 3-4 frames of input lag(depending on software) like most other controllers. I generally don't trust "non-noticeable" and like hard numbers.
all i can say is while playing binding of isaac: afterbirth+ on switch w/ a wii u pro controller i dont notice ANY lag whatsoever. its the same as the joy-cons i feel...i cant speak for hard numbers
Tried playing Doom with this piece of Shit Hardware and the Input Lag is remarkable High! Don't buy this Piece of Shit everyone who says otherwise is getting paid!

I have multiple PS3 and PS4 controllers plus a Wii U Pro Controller. I don’t want to shell out $70 for a Switch Pro Controller, even if it is the best controller for the Switch on the market.
I think the adapter should cost less than $25 since it’s just an adapter, not a controller, but at least it’s a lot cheaper than a Switch Pro Controller or a new pair of Joy-Cons.

It won’t work with my Xbox controllers- I have one of the olds ones without the wire that you had to plug in with a detachable one- it refuses to pair

You need more adapters, unfortunately. You can use the Joy-Cons and the adapter for multiplayer, though.

I have one as well. I recommend buying a Titan 1 adapter as well. Titan 1 is way older but better. I have a arcade system. Titan 1 has a feature magic ns don't. Put PC inputs on real game consoles. Meaning anything you got plugged in the PC will be read on real game console. My arcade cabinet has a IPAC board in it. It can switch between dinput and xinput. I switch it to dinput so the Gtuner software can detect the IPAC board with "Max Aim DI" software that's built inside Gtuner software. All I have to do is pick the "output" of the game console I wanna play on. If it's Nintendo switch, I place the output to Nintendo switch. The IPAC board will transform into a Nintendo switch board. This is cool but only 1 player will work using "Max Aim DI" software.

It does now, after a firmware update, works pretty well after you calibrate the motion controls, feels slightly worse than a switch pro controller gyro for aiming in splatoon.
Gaijin Overseer I believe Ps4 controllers motion controls work.

Switch pro controller/joycon's use the same gyro, just that you have different grips. Hence, it'll feel worse than the joycon gyro, not including how it feels in relation to grip

I know this is late, but I’ve bought the adapter and use a PS3 controller, and as far as I can tell, there is no discernible lag when playing games. I mostly use it to play Dragonball FighterZ for switch and pc.

i updated my magic ns twice annnnd now it doesnt turn on
I love it, but... I can't help but get confused when I'm playing games like BotW where on-screen it prompts buttons like A, X, etc. and I'm on my Xbox controller and I end up pressing the wrong buttons. Muscle memory sucks.
Mayflash had a firmware update that allows you to switch inputs.

You might want to listen to the commentary. Somewhere within the first 5 minutes he explains how many controllers you can connect, AND how they work together... or do they? -- you'll have to watch to find out!
Been rely enjoying mine just got it last week. Only problem i seem to be having with it is when i turn the switch on using my joycons i have to plug in and unplug the adapter a couple of times to get it to turn and and connect with my controller. Don't know if anyone else has had this problem or knows of a fix.

Does the wireless dongle with the original XboxOne controller (no Bluetooth) work with this?
The controller you pair with this dongle has to have Bluetooth. I believe all XboxOne controllers use Bluetooth. If you meant to say the XB360 controller, then no it won't pair. A way around this is that you can buy a usb wireless receiver (made by Microsoft, sells for about $20) intended to use wireless XB360 controllers on a PC . Use that same dongle and plug it into the USB port on the Magic-NS and run it "as if" it was a wired controller. The Magic-NS would see it as a wired controller, so no pairing is needed, but in fact you're running wireless.
Could you pair multiple controllers using one adapter?
