I actually played a few of r2 games before, in specific they have 2 mmos called "crystal saga" and "crystal saga 2" they were pretty popular years ago especially since it was playable straight from the browser thanks to flash. Kinda sad to see a company relying on this type of stuff but i'm glad they're not doing actual scams or information stealing.
I played those and Dragon Pals back in the day. They were just money grabbers though and very P2W. Glad I didn't have a credit card back then because I definitely would've fallen prey to their tactics as a kid.

This is actually pretty common in Asia. There are a lot of these crappy browser MMO games like this. They love to advertise these games as annoying popup ads on a lot of pirate and porn sites (I guess they're coming to Discord now too). They're not really a scam but I'd say they're more like mobile game ads that you'd see on facebook and stuff. Just really poorly made games that use anime booba and false advertisement to bait you in.

League of angels(the third one) is actually a game i spent a lot of time playing its like a genshin, before genshin was created, and its for casuals it's relaxing to just watch your character run around, and beat up people:)

The fact, any bot recommends every pay to win mobile game or any generic MMORPG game with fake advertisments in your Discord DM. Imagine getting DMed you by a bot making an ad of RAID: Shadow Legends or Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas?

Two days ago I was thinking of making a game where the player character can follow some basic ai when player sends no inputs for few minutes... This seems like a more boring version, but its still interesting how its set up.
I honestly thought that they would just have a link that is similar to the one from the company that made those games and when you sign up it sends your data to someone and if you used the same password-email combo you used in the signup somewhere else they would have access to that account.
So, in simple terms, if I have this correct, somebody downloaded an adobe crack, got hacked, then the hacker was using the account to send links so they could get paid money for people clicking a game link for whatever website the game is on, that the game just kind of plays itself
That somehow really reminded me of pop-under advertising, which were annoying until the exploits that enabled them on the Chromium platform were finally patched out. (UA-cam user 'LiveOverflow' did videos on some of those exploits) Edit: Those pop-under adverts included affiliate spam too.
