I love that he takes himself unseriously as he takes his music seriously. It's an awesome combination. I've even seen him hold his guitar out to let children in the front row strum some notes and push the effects buttons.
especially among guitar players.. When I was younger the EGO was so thick some people wore it like a cloak and you could actually watch it flap in the wind as a breeze came along. I ignore it today though.

Joe Dart is a fantastic Bassist, The Beths are a great indie alternative rock group, The Mike Wheeler band are a funk/soul group who are all incredibly talented.
Eddie Hazel solo stuff is great aswell. I'm a big P funk guy tho. He had an album called 'Games, Dames, an Guitar Thangs' As for new music, California Guitar Trio is pretty great
Buckethead's section sounds so much like David Gilmour On An Island era, I love it. Also, it looks like I'm spending the day researching Lili Haydn, what a beast. Woo!!
WOW! I mean DAMN!!, how can there not be more electric violins played in metal bands!!??? Lili Hayden has earned my complete respect!! The whole band really played perfectly. They all have such talent, I can't believe this is the first time I've heard them.
Check out Eddie Jobson in UK and David Cross in King Crimson. Prog, not metal. Then there is Jerry Goodman in the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Fusion. And Allen Sloan and Mark O'Connor in The Dixie Dregs.
her mic is not cut, but the sound seems like it is only the wet channel. At least its all reverb and no main violin sound. It's genuinely a mixing crime
WOOOO! Maggot Brain is considered by many to be one of the greatest solos every written on any instrument. 🤘 Eddie Hazel was a hell of a guitar player. And Bernie, on keys in this song, played on Maggot Brain, also. Yep. Hes PFunk for eternity.
Nice to see that the some of the greatest rock songs are appreciated even today. I remember this song back in the 1970's. Unbelievably powerful by the Funkadelics. Great Album. Nice to see a cover that does the original justice. It takes one on a musical journey. Love this.

The version of Interworld and The New Innocence from this show is my all time favorite version of that song. Definitely a show I'd give my right arm and left leg to witness live.
This is the kind of stuff I was playing LIVE in my teens, as a member of a prog band with an electric violinist/multi-instrumentalist…guys who all became well-known. I was also the all-nite radio DJ at the same time at one of the country’s greatest radio stations. Was totally blessed to have fallen into both situations. Just two amazing musical situations that helped shape my life. Funniest thing was…when I got hired at that radio gig, we had a record library of around 20,000 LPs and I was told, “You can play ANYTHING YOU WANT….oh..except “Maggot Brain.” Hahahaha. Always remembered that. Funny in retrospect. Apparently there was a local guy who called to request it like 10x a day. I DID gEt to play it on occasion.
I think buckethead has some sort of fan in his bucket so he can stay cool while on stage during the summer. Perhaps a cool suit or something. He is absolutely stunning to see live if you ever have the chance to see him just go! It's worth it.

Why is funeral on bucket ?
Besides Buckethead being a master of his unique style; his lack of ego always fascinated me.
I love that he takes himself unseriously as he takes his music seriously. It's an awesome combination. I've even seen him hold his guitar out to let children in the front row strum some notes and push the effects buttons.

We’ll said fam!!!!!!!!
Then why can't I hear the violinist .......
She is so cocked blocked
Bucket does the song justice i feel. Doesn’t over play. Doesn’t hog the spotlight. Just playing in unison with these awesome artists.
Just what i thought!
Yeah
Yep agree 100%

All these years, and Buckethead hasn’t aged a bit. Amazing!
🤣👍✌
That is the benefit with the mask and bucket other rockers they age! When he pass you could just replace him, wait no you cant he is the Goat!
kfc prices aged 💀
Buckethead would have been legend in the 1970's too. Thank You Buckethead for carrying the torch !
I must have gotten something in my eye... Simply beautiful.
You need to hear Lillie by herself doing this, she isnt mixed very well in this version, can barely hear her.

Lili Hayden and Buckethead on the same stage. Does not get any better. The masters!

Buckethead's section sounds so much like David Gilmour On An Island era, I love it.
Also, it looks like I'm spending the day researching Lili Haydn, what a beast. Woo!!
I was just about to say how this has such a Pink Floyd vibe to it.
Look out Jean Luc Ponty...
Saw her open for Plant/Page in ‘98. Personally, I think her cover of Maggot Brain (elsewhere on UT)is as good or better than any guitar cover version
Yep, got major Gilmour vibes on that
I was thinking exactly the same when I saw this!😂💜✌️

Subrosa from Utah. They arent around anymore but they had two of em. God I miss that band.
Roxy Music -- Eddie Jobson, later Lucy Wilkins (Out Of The Blue), fantastic!
Lili Hayden is crushing it on violin. At first I thought her mic was cut, but then I realized the initial solo was all hers.
her mic is not cut, but the sound seems like it is only the wet channel. At least its all reverb and no main violin sound. It's genuinely a mixing crime
Oh shit. I see
She sounds like two seagulls fighting over a discarded french fry, simply awful. I've been to concerts like this and had to walk out, criminal.
