That was excellent! That spider tank looked real! Really well done, really captured the whole "wonder weapon" concept very well. Keep up the good work!
Small budget? Dude the video looks very professional and looks like you had a big budget (for a short film). Ever thought of working with V2 rocket productions?
my best guess on what happened is that the Germans found a martian cylinder from The War of the Worlds and combined their technology with whatever the Martians had
April, 1945: A new German superweapon halts Allied advances. The Germans have twenty Walkers. May 1945: The Germans advance on both fronts with fifty Walkers. Allies capture a damaged German Walker. June 1945: Detroit produces its first hundred Made-In-USA Walkers. July 1945: The eighty German Walkers are overrun by five hundred union-made Allied Walkers. August 1945: The Walkers of both sides are rendered irrelevant by the Allied atomic bombing of Berlin, Hamburg and Dresden.
John Burt Pretty unrealistic. More like: April 1945: Germany uses Walkers to push the Allies back May 1945: The Laser-Technology is advanced and even german Tanks use it now June 1945: The Germans won Time so the stealth Bomber "Horten" is ready to takeoff July 1945: German Railguns with Laser-Turrets destroy allied forces and arrive at the french westcoast. Horten Flies to new york August 1945: German Warships with Laserturrets conquer the british island September 1945: England is german Territory, The Russians stopped attacking because its useless. October 1945: A mass of horten-Bombers arrives at new York, german Warships with Laser-Cannons in Florida. November 1945: The USA tries to drop atomic bombs to Paris, but all bombers got intercepted by the german Luftwaffe, which controlls the atlantic. The Germans capture an Atomic bomb and builds thousands of nuclear weapons. December 1945: All US-Military Stations got destroyed by radioactive Bombs, US is out of troops. January 1946: USA's Name got changed to "Vereinigte Staaten von Germanien". New Yorks name got changed to "Neu-Berlin".
Emre AyYildiz You forgot the part when Germans learn to clone themselfs and make 35 thousand billion clones that go off to space to sell ice cream to the revived Kaiser Wilhelm himself
Gash dang!! Some videos on UA-cam are so amazing, well put together, and edited that they should be sent to Hollywood to show how movies should really be made.....and this is certainly one of those videos!! :D :D BRILLIANT JOB
No the most original plot, but it is probably one of the best produced amateur clip I have seen in a really long time. What you did, you did well. Congratulations and may you see many rewards for your work!
wow. funny how you find things like this on the internet. i went from watching something about the impirial guard (warhammer 40k) made by bloodrunsclear, to something called project arbiter, to this. all amazing. what i liked most about this is that you knew when to end it. you didnt try to drag it on for another 5-10 minutes, or stretch it out into a 2 hour film (like most movies do). well done.
Lets see how they fight in the daytime when P-38, P-47, P-51 & Hawker Typhoon's (tank busters) start unloading armour-piercing rocket up that thing arse!
Despite this being insane and physically impossible, it is still fricking epic. This is proof that small scale models will always be better than CGI. With the exception of some of the explosions; this wasn't too bad for a super low-budget flick. I loved the way the Kraut Spider groaned as it walked; very intimidating!
Overly large mechs aren't really practical. the Germans tried to build a massive tank but found that it was hard to move and easy to hit, and since they had soldiers who could destroy tanks with hand held projectiles.... In fact Considering that the tanks and foot soldiers could outmaneuver the walker in this movie my suggestion would be to simply drive past it. No way it catches up to them. Or you can shoot the commander not protected by any armor. Last note I'm a fan of mecha, I just don't think these are very useful ones, still a cool idea for a movie.
hmm... fictional? ww2 qickly kick the technology. Radio controlled bomb with television guidance is nazi technology from 1942 ...hmm....ausgezaichnet. but, one nazi "fehrnsee bomb" cost aka 2 tiger tank.
This is really impressive! Not only the effects, but the acting is also very good, I could so easily see this being expanded into a series of shorts. As for the effects, I think too many people are too enamored with CGI, not that CGI is 'bad', but I think a lot of CGI aficionados tend to 'look down' on practical effects, but if you're on a budget and can't afford to hire ILM, I think practical effects are just that, practical :=)
This is actually really cool. I like the details on the Nazi walker and the models work great overall. My personal favorite was the flamethrower. I'd like to see more of this stuff!
I enjoyed this immensely!!!!!!! MUCH BETTER than some of the "Low Grade" WW2 SCI-FI films shown on the SY FY channel!!!! I'd love to see this movie in it's entirety!!!!!! And for those being a bit too critical regarding the "laser/ray gun", please keep in mind that it's a "sci-fi" film. Not an actual WW2 weapons documentary.
harry Grant what did you expect... Something like Hans Schmidt? Or Max Müller? Besides Hunter Rodrigez isn't my real name anyways, but my real name sounds even less German
Very impressive work!! I agree with Kellythesinger, in that I'd like to see this made into a full length movie too. It doesn't have to be 2 hours long, (though that would be cool). It can be either a "Short" or a "What if" type of story. Love the vehicle models too.
Nothing in this presentation implies that the Americans won WWII on their own. It's a 5 minute scene about one fictional American unit LOSING to a German super machine. I'm fully aware of the contributions made by all parties involved. In fact, there is a cut scene from this presentation that involved a British major explaining the situation on the Eastern front.
1945A it's the best movie I have seen since Predator!! 2 Very Big thumbs UP.!! If I;m not mistaken 1945A has won numers Oscar awards for best picture and special effects and a great story between man and machine and fight for freedom. These is one of those classic movies that can't be replicated in anyway.
Pretty cool. Looks like a scene from my Luftwaffe-Kamikaze 1946 graphic novel series published a decade ago, except in my version the Americans are facing a Japanese "Kasei-Gata" spider fortress tank during Operation Coronet in April 1946.
I love the look of the German walker. That was cool as hell, and the film as a whole had a great look. Very nicely done. Subbed friended. Hope to see more soon.
Well done. Of course I have to be a pain. The Walker MIGHT be able to fire one of the top canons at a time without falling over, but all 3 would knock it on it's butt. But this was a DAMN GOOD concept! BRAVO!
Great job! I'm trying to make a WWII movie as well. Where did you get the German/Allied uniforms and guns? This was really fantastic. I enjoyed how you had a wide range of ages to play characters, instead of just inept 18-23 year olds, you actually had 20-50. Excellent work!
I HATE CGI. Despite how useful it has become, it is quickly becoming overused in many aspects that are not even perfected as of yet. You can easily tell what is CGI and what is actually crafted. It just makes one wonder, "Why don't they just make the entire thing via CGI?" Not everything has to be in front of green screen. Amazing work combining the models with superb visual effects!
ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CINEMA-SHORT- FILM. WHEN WILL YOU BE SELLING THE 2HR. VERSION ON DVD? I WILL DEFINITELY, BUY A COPY! ALL THE BEST, TEHUNZU.
@111axa1 The fact that they were firing all over the "Spider-Tank", is that it can work as a distraction of some sort. For example as you see the Bazooka-team used the distraction to fire at one of the weak-spots of it. If they had gotten some more time, they might have managed to fire a few more shots at it. And I see the point of shooting the commander, but remember that it's difficult to hit a small target inside the Spider under that kind of situation.
@SuperRIDDE5 Adding a few things to my previous comment: As you can imagine, the Laser would be using A LOT of energy, so as the "Spider Tank's" main cannons failed to take out the M3 Tank and M4 Sherman, they used the lasers as their last resort. You saw how the Tanks almost managed to take it out. If you ask me how to counter that tank, bigger AT-weapons, ramming it to the ground, or Air-support would be the best ways to take it out.
Damn ... and when do a massive tank/air/arty support shows up and squish the big spider ? Nah, seriously, you got to make a whole movie out of it. It looks very very promising.
You had me thinking "Okay, this I can see as sorta plausible." But then the tanks didn't even dent it. And I saw a direct hit on legs too. Then there was the laser. But other than that, which isn't very significant in perspective, WOW-WEE!
The first operational assault rifle yes, but the concept of a select fire, intermediate caliber gun actually goes older than that, it was conceptualized in the 1910's by a Russian armorer, colonel Fedorov. But it never moved beyond the prototype phase, it was used by very small quantities in WW1 though.
Very cool and it shows some good production values, though the Allied tanks did look like models a bit. It was the tank commander on one that did it. Otherwise, very well done. It reminds me a lot of Gear Krieg.
"It was in this battle that Germany released its newest weapon. It was on this day, that the Allies new... the war was far from over." Very good. All that was missing was the officer in the mech saying "wundebar".
@33Artur333 Depends on the tank and the machine gun. If I'm going to pick a big flaw out of this movie, it is the lack of infantry support for the "spider". Too many ways a vehicle can get disabled if you let the enemy grunts get too close.
1) Aim all heavy weapons at the legs 2) Snipers target the opening where the commander is. 3) For maximum defense, minefields, especially the flamethrower mines that could melt armour 4) That laser blast would had exhausted all their power. They should had use that opportunity to attack with what they have left. 5) Air support.
@Anthrolithos You don't understand what camp is then. John Waters is camp. The 60's Batman TV show is camp. Just because something isn't grounded enough in reality for your taste doesn't mean it's camp.
This was actually pretty awesome! The effects weren't CGI (which I like; models are much better than CGI in my opinion), but they were pretty effective. One little nitpick: the shoulder boards on the German weren't correct.
The story line well maybe not the greatest understandable that you only have a few minutes. But the special effects were of a high production quality and authenticity of uniforms and equipment was very well done. I have watched made for sci fi movies that were not half a good.
great CGI, but not so good story plot/logic. anti-tank ammunition of allies could penetrate/damage the nazi robot tank's armor. Ever heard of HESH?. But that would shorten the movie drastically.

Very nicely done, I love small independent films like this. I wish it was longer.
I´m German, I´m an engineer, and this is so hilarious ;P
Why
Gash dang!! Some videos on UA-cam are so amazing, well put together, and edited that they should be sent to Hollywood to show how movies should really be made.....and this is certainly one of those videos!! :D :D BRILLIANT JOB
Nice work. Great art direction. The early shots of the Allies have a very "Band of Brothers" feel to it.
No the most original plot, but it is probably one of the best produced amateur clip I have seen in a really long time. What you did, you did well.
Congratulations and may you see many rewards for your work!

I admire your work, ryannagata. I have seen some of the early work of Spielberg, and I think you have done well. Best of luck.
Incredible work and graphics, you did a splendid job
OH, how long I've been looking for this video.
This was awesome! Especially dude firing a .45 at 4:50.
This is CRAZY cool
Totally amazing! Incredible production values for a low budget short.
magnificent filmmaking on a shoestring budget. well done fellows.
Despite this being insane and physically impossible, it is still fricking epic. This is proof that small scale models will always be better than CGI. With the exception of some of the explosions; this wasn't too bad for a super low-budget flick. I loved the way the Kraut Spider groaned as it walked; very intimidating!
Lovely fictional WWII movie!
Makes me wonder what life would've been like if robots and walker mechs were invented around that time.
No way it catches up to them.

hmm... fictional? ww2 qickly kick the technology. Radio controlled bomb with television guidance is nazi technology from 1942 ...hmm....ausgezaichnet. but, one nazi "fehrnsee bomb" cost aka 2 tiger tank.
I'm impressed by how realistic the walker's movements are.
Occasionally, just occasionally you find something worthwhile watching on UA-cam.
This is a prime example of this.
This was great, outstanding for a low-budget. Very impressed with the actors, directing, and models.
This is really impressive! Not only the effects, but the acting is also very good, I could so easily see this being expanded into a series of shorts. I have to say... Those models you used were excellent! Much better than some top budget hollywood films! 5 stars.. if youtube had that any more....
Amazing. You have just accomplished on your very small budget what I think many of us wish big-budget movies could accomplish. Excellent.
Looks Like a scene for a full length movie I hope you get a chance to make it and the acting was top class! Amazing looking war machine!
Very ingenious and well done short. Kudos.
... On another note: would regular artillery, armour and air power not take care of a spider tank?
Looks better than any CGI I've ever seen! Awesome! I would definitely pay money to see a motion picture version of this...you should go for it!
This is actually really cool. I like the details on the Nazi walker and the models work great overall. My personal favorite was the flamethrower. I'd like to see more of this stuff!

"What in Gods name..."
"I know Sir."
"It's too late for this s***. Call artillery command; I'll inspect what's left of it in the morning."
It looks like something out of H.G.Wells. The Allies will no doubt defeat it with that other Wellsian concept: air superiority.
Nicely done. I wish it was longer but you got the most out there in such a small time frame.
I so want to see a full length film of this.
Very well done.
it always feels kinda weird to watch videos like this... as a german...
With a second name like Rodrigez?
harry Grant what did you expect... Something like Hans Schmidt? Or Max Müller? Besides Hunter Rodrigez isn't my real name anyways, but my real name sounds even less German
*****
Landaaaa ;) gg
Matthias Lechner I have no idea what you are talking about
You ain't no german. You're probably a mexican whose first name is bean and the second hunter.
Very impressive work!! I agree with Kellythesinger, in that I'd like to see this made into a full length movie too. It doesn't have to be 2 hours long, (though that would be cool). It can be either a "Short" or a "What if" type of story.
Love the vehicle models too.
The Nazis copied the idea from the Wild Wild West movie with Will Smith ;)
Someone will get wooooshed, I know it
excelent work Ryan, congratulations !!, I m a RC model builder (planes), and I havent even noted that these tanks were RC models !!, good job !
Great job with this! It looks like it was a lot of fun to produce!
Beautiful, Nagata! Can't wait to see the whole thing.
This had better effects than the Mutant Chronicles movie. I'd like to see more of this! Bravo!
i have read a article about your movie on newspaper in London UK. Good work !
Good job on the short Film...really good work on it
Nothing in this presentation implies that the Americans won WWII on their own. It's a 5 minute scene about one fictional American unit LOSING to a German super machine. Ryan - what an excellent job! I am very impressed by your work here, both imaginatively and technically.
Now I wanna see the whole alt-history film!
Well done. Of course I have to be a pain. The Walker MIGHT be able to fire one of the top canons at a time without falling over, but all 3 would knock it on it's butt. But this was a DAMN GOOD concept! BRAVO!

Probably hired reenactors to help them with the filming, they usually bring their own weapons and uniforms with them.
awesome work, very impressive! wish hollywood would make a full length movie about this.
I HATE CGI. Despite how useful it has become, it is quickly becoming overused in many aspects that are not even perfected as of yet. You can easily tell what is CGI and what is actually crafted. Is the full film compleated yet????? This is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CINEMA-SHORT- FILM.
WHEN WILL YOU BE SELLING THE 2HR. VERSION ON DVD?
I WILL DEFINITELY, BUY A COPY!
ALL THE BEST,
TEHUNZU.
Im amazed. Its REALLY good, unlike 99.9% of YT shorts.
Time travel from star war give hitler the idea to create the spider robot fully armed with weapons
Actually pretty good, reminds me a little of the Luft 46' comic book series. I love alternate history stries, ideas, and movies.
Hard to believe those were scale model tanks, they looked so real!
@111axa1 The fact that they were firing all over the "Spider-Tank", is that it can work as a distraction of some sort. Wow! That really came together! Great job.
Please make a longer version, I beg you!!!!
Very nice job! The acting was good, too! Very cool!
Well done Movie. Keep up the good work!
Very well done. I added it to my favorites.
No part two? Dang. Heck of a cliffhanger. Well done but heckuva way to end it.
You had me thinking "Okay, this I can see as sorta plausible." But then the tanks didn't even dent it. And I saw a direct hit on legs too. Then there was the laser.
But other than that, which isn't very significant in perspective, WOW-WEE!

really nice film, didn't look like a small budget at all!
you should put out more of this man. thumbs up if you agree
awesome! your scale models are really good.
Very nice special effects! Looks like Detonation Films
you should make a whole movie! i like the idea
1) Aim all heavy weapons at the legs
2) Snipers target the opening where the commander is.
3) For maximum defense, minefields, especially the flamethrower mines that could melt armour
4) That laser blast would had exhausted all their power. They should had use that opportunity to attack with what they have left.

Yeah, I just clicked THUMBS UP, and I was the 1,945th person to do so. I win the internets for today :-)
@Anthrolithos You don't understand what camp is then. John Waters is camp. The 60's Batman TV show is camp. Just because something isn't grounded enough in reality for your taste doesn't mean it's camp.
Better than a syfy original, must become full length film!
This was actually pretty awesome! The effects weren't CGI (which I like; models are much better than CGI in my opinion), but they were pretty effective. One little nitpick: the shoulder boards on the German weren't correct.
Awesome movie!!!!. When does the continuation come out?
The story line well maybe not the greatest understandable that you only have a few minutes. But the special effects were of a high production quality and authenticity of uniforms and equipment was very well done. I have watched made for sci fi movies that were not half a good.
Great stuff. Love the camera work.
That was freak;in AWESOME! That should be on Sy-Fy
Tat was amazing. I have to commend you on how you did it, especially with the models.
The most intelligent informed response I have ever read on you tube. Thanks for the info.
Well done. An exceptional piece of art.
this is excellent!! can is there a full movie?
great CGI, but not so good story plot/logic. anti-tank ammunition of allies could penetrate/damage the nazi robot tank's armor. Ever heard of HESH?. But that would shorten the movie drastically.
Very good practical effects and a decent story. Thanks ;-)
Awesome. I was sad to realize it wasn't an actual movie.
I wish COH mod have nazi robot tank ( walking tank )
Incredibly well done - congrats
This is simply fantastic. Will there be more?
Shit man this would make an awesome full feature.
