    Absolutely yes, the Kaoss pad can be used with a bass guitar, just look at Muse.. Our xy MIDIpad controller can be fitted on any guitar or bass that has enough room for it..

    I just installed my pad in my guitar and hooked it up to the kaoss pad kp3 and It’s not working. I checked all the connections and it’s all connected correctly. would you happen to know it’s not working? thanks.

    so if you are on stage and you brake your strings you swap out guitars and you lose 3 effects with the guitar.

      Studio only guitar? It's something I'd like to have, but only to mess around with. Seen too many bands with complicated rigs just completely fail live. Brilliant when done right, but too much risk in my opinion.

    • @alinack69
      @alinack69 9 років тому +1

      *****
      all I'm saying is, the more simple the equipment, the less likely to go wrong. I'm not saying "do nothing" just don't overcomplicate things. This guitar is a lovely little toy and in the studio or rehearsals it would be outstanding, but for me I couldn't trust to use it in a live setting.

    • @alinack69
      @alinack69 9 років тому

      ***** I completely understand, if you can make it work for you, and you are confident that you can pull it off, then that is brilliant. If it's something you are looking for and you can get the most out of it, outstanding.
      I didn't say it sucks, neither did the original commenter. I didn't come to this video just to say negative things about it, in fact, I didn't say negative things. I came to the video because I was interested, pushing creative boundaries fascinates me, I love to see where things go, it inspires me. All I'm saying is, it's beyond me. For what I do, I couldn't make the most of it.
      Complicated isn't a bad thing, some people like complicated, I like complicated, but to listen to or look at and not to use.

    I have a kaoss guitar but I noticed where I touch my finger on the guitars pad it doesn't match up with the kp3's motion. Is the there a way to calibrate so the two are in sync?

    Howdy, I got a question. It doesn't pertain to this video though.
    I've got this old Italian 335 copy that's really beat up. Mostly minor things due to sitting in a damp basement for the last 30 years. There's one thing, a good chunk of the sidewood(?) must've broken off and is now missing (20cm or so), the break itself has been cleaned up, Any advice towards fixing this? Mainly bending the wood without using any fancy jigs. Also, minor blunt force trauma with chipping, fill and sand it?
    Cheers.

    How do you connect the XY pad to amplify it? Does the sound come out of the 1/4 guitar plug or does it have a separate hook up? and does the sound come out of a guitar amp, or does it have to be hooked it up to a separate output like a PA system?

    Is it possible to plug in through the kaoss pad and not use any effects? Lets say I only want to you use the effects for half of a song and play with a clean unmodulated guitar signal for the second half. Is this possible without unplugging jacks in the middle of a song? Great video by the way thanks for the upload.

    Interesting.... but rather than obliterate the looks and feel of a fine guitar, I'd rather put in a GraphTech pre-amp and hex saddles and get all kinds of sounds by triggering a synthesizer of your choice. But that's just me... :0) btw: I Love most of the Crimson guitars I've seen. Especially the Delta 1. You should come up with some other ergonomic designs... maybe a headless? Take care. Cheers.

    way too much messing about for my taste. I have a box that controls my sounds, without having a bunch of crap on my guitars. The problem with this, is you have to spend time and or money to outfit the guitar, then if you want to change to another guitar and keep it, it's fit it all over again, and leaves a messed up guitar behind. No thank you sir. Isn't it simpler to just jack into a midi controller?

    Won't this amount electronics ruin my "toan wood"? /s
    If this doesn't prove that the material the ELECTRIC guitar is made of is irrelevant, nothing will.

    • @kurt57b
      @kurt57b 9 років тому

      kfa4303 With that many effects, you could use a 35$ super-cheap China POS as source. Poured from reinforced concrete, with old H0 model engines as pickups ;)
      I once used to put lots of electronics into my guitars (preamps w/ treble/bass, coil taps, phase switches, parallel/serial PU selectors). Ended up with going back to the original passive setup, with genuine parts.
      The effect of the wood is mostly noticeable the cleaner you play, and is minuscule compared to the effects of PUs, nut, bridge, frets and strings.
      IMO it is mostly noticeable to the one playing, as you can feel the response of the instrument in your hands and body.

    • @KarlKarsnark
      @KarlKarsnark 9 років тому

      Indeed. Kind of a shame to take such a well made/expensive/exotic guitar then router out 1/2 of the mass in order to put in a bunch of goofy electronics. As ever, less is more.
