I love my Kobo Libre Colour as well. I also have a b&w Clara which is small enough to put in my pants pocket. The two main advantages of Kobo over Kindle in Canada is that Kobo allows the use of Libby/Overdrive to borrow books from the library and the inclusion of Bluetooth makes listening to Audiobooks possible. Thanks for a great video.
Loved this video! I had a kindle paperwhite 11th gen and a kindle scribe! Plus my kobo! Sold both kindles and kept my kobo! It’s everything I want in an device
I got the Libra Colour the other day and could not be happier! Having had a couple kindles previously, i think that the Kobo is a much better E-Reader. I really love the OverDrive feature, the colour of course and how easy it is to add your own Ebooks to the device by Google Drive or OneDrive.
I've discovered a deal-breaking "feature" -- for me -- on the Kobo Libra Colour w/ stylus: **Your handwritten notes/annotations are not safe and will be completely lost if you ever migrate to another Kobo e-reader or if you have to reset the one you have.** This fact is highlighted in red on Kobo's help page. That would mean that if you value your notes in the books you've annotated, you'll never see them again if you changed Kobo devices. For me, doing research and making lots of notes, this is a total deal breaker. Kobo should store backups of all handwritten notes to the cloud. But they don't. Bummer.
Discovered that the Libra Colour does *not* save your stylus annotations. When you either reset your current Libra Colour or upgrade to a new device -- all notes taken on all books are lost. Yes, you can export notes out as pdfs, but that's really dumb. I'm going to hold off getting any e-ink tablet that does not value your notes. The notes/annotations could be saved to the cloud (and thus be available on any e-ink Kobo device), or they could be saved by connecting your old device to the new device w/ a cable and transferring the notes, etc. But none of that exists at this time.
