Sorry for the very late post the worker's strike near where I live has gotten louder so right now it's a little tough to get stuff done hence a few extra edits in todays video! I'm gonna be working late nights instead to work around the stupid mounts of noise during the day (8am to 7pm and it's STILL GOING ON) -.-
@@dac314 Yeah I can appreciate that it's annoying to record with noise going on, but I'm going to assume they've got a good reason to go on strike. Maybe not, but here in the States we have a long history of nasty worker's strikes, so I tend to side with the workers. Harlan Country (Kentucky) is a good example of what I mean. Laborers tend to put up with a lot of bullshit before they strike. Nobody cares about the average laborer until they start making noise, then they're just an annoying inconvenience that needs to be quiet. I'd rather get noisy videos than to disparage those people out there striking.

If you are looking for more monsters you should look at Warhammer: Age of Reckoning MMORPG monsters. They have artwork in this cool parchment-like drawing style. They have a lot of unique monsters, from the simple Bandit and Giant Animals to the far more interesting ones like Asp Bone Constructs, Daemonvines, God-themed variants of Chaos Spawn, Daemon Watchers of Tzeentch, Khaine Disciples, Plague Victims, Living Armour, amongst many others.
The Warhammer Online concept art book from the collectors edition really is great. I have mine laying around somewhere xD I think you can find screenshots of the book online via a Google search
Anywhere one can see these creatures? An online resource or artbook or something? I have the Age of Reckoning official artbook and it has quite a few cool beasts, but far from all of them. I love the concept art from that game so much.
I could see the Warpfire dragon being a recruitable monster with a unit cap for the Dogs of War/Southern Realms, they are closer than anyone to the skaven capital and the only named Warpfire dragon in Lore helped a Tilean army to fight the skavens in exchange of getting all the warpstone for herself, im sure that there is no other named Warpfire dragon in Lore but what do you think?
Don't forget the Ramhorns. A Beastmen monster that is a living siege engine for the Beastie Boys. Sadly exclusive to the Forest of Arden. Hoping that Dwarfs and Chaos Dwarfs will get both Shard and Magma Dragons respectably at one point. The former group getting the murder ferrets along with Rune Guardians and Rune Golems. Edit: Give Curs'd Ettins to Norsca.
@@jiado6893 The Shard Dragon. The Magma Dragon is literally a flying Dread Saurian...WITH LORE OF FIRE. And the single most devastating breathe attack ever.
Whilst the Warhammer Basilisk model is definitely cool, I can't help but suspect it has its roots in Games Workshop's originally being a British producer of D&D miniatures, since the "eight-legged lizard" look has been used by D&D to portray the basilisk throughout its history. Admittedly, the 2e basilisk is more crocodilian, but still, you could plonk that (Forgeworld?) model down at my D&D table as a basilisk and I'd accept it without hesitation.
Throwing around an idea here. Make the Scrolls of Binding from Monstrous Arcanum an item we the players can pick up and when get it, we can recruit an assortment of monster units somewhat like Rakarth's Beast Pens. What monsters we get will be dependent on what part of the world our armies are on and the armies in question.
@@SpiritStoneWarrior94-yx3gs There should of course be some sort of limit to it. Like it would be extremely impractical to use it to fill up entire armies in the way Rakarth can.
Im kinda surprised there isnt a steam dragon tbh. Like a mechanized dragon unit, seems like something runic magic and their normal engineering would be perfect for
@@kiryukazuma8089 There was some strange mechanical steam golem in the background in the 8th ED Dwarf Armybook in one of their artpieces. It all looked like they really wanted those Golems back for them but didn't worked out.
I was actually rather disappointed when the Silent and the Fury details were revealed, since I was really hoping for Preytons to be added. Don't get me wrong, Ghorgons are cool and all but they are basically 'just' large minotaurs. What really ticked me off for a moment though was, when CA gave a shoutout to the original Preyton mod. The mod is absolutely amazing but that shoutout basically means that we will likely never see an official implementation. Shard Dragons are a unit I just can't see ever getting added. They don't really fit the dwarfs, which would be the only case they might ever get added for, and are rather similar to Magma Dragons, or even Basilisks and Jabberslythes both which are more unique. Maybe CA will consider going the other way and just enabling all Dwarfen factions very limited recruitment of malign creatures and just make some kitbashes out of existing stuff.
I mean, never say never. They also gave a shoutout to the Jabberslythe mod and we got Jabberslythes in Silent and the Fury. Beastmen could easily get another DLC with Moonclaw or Molokh Slugtongue and Preytons would be a perfect fit for a monstrous unit.
Is the second entry one of the creatures that carry the chaos warshrines? Khemric Titan are in the Tomb Kings extended mod. Sadly they come very late game, but they are fun :D I'm a bit surprised that the thunder lizard isn't on the list. There is also a great mod that adds them. "The Titan of the Jungle - Thunder Lizard"
I feel like the carnosaur thorek gets was a call out to that pseudodragon. They just didn't want to make a model for it or give it a unique statline which is a shame.
Awesome video. As someone who have never played tabletop warhammer fantasy, I love your videos exploring the world of warhammer that is not in the video games.
I’m not even playing total war warhammer anymore. And yet still watching these videos. Funny when you know a ton of lore about a table top game you’ve never even seen played. Lol. All because I played a Skarsnik campaign and wanted to know more.
A Monstrous Arcanum DLC would be awesome it could just add monsters to the map that if you defeat them they could be added to your recruitment pool or give various bonuses to factions that would not fight along side with such a beast.
I would love to see the Giant Scarab. that would be such a cool unit to see in game and actually use. even if its a regiment of renown, just being able to have 1 would be so cool. we can only pray for a future Tomb Kings addition

If one of the Cathayan dragon children were to become a Warp dragon, I would expect it to be Zhao Ming. Or else, it would be redundant to have two children be infected by warpstone. So I'd say that this is probably not possible. Interesting idea, though. Maybe a future development for Zhao Ming if they end up putting Cathay in Age of Sigmar or else.
