@@CommanderBohn I've never read anything about them being related to dinos, so no clue on my side. My question was more about : are they dragons corrupted by the powers of the plague father or are they daemons that happened to take the appearance of dragons (or maybe strangely deformed dinos)
Helo Nathan I would have a " idea " I supose you know the game warhammer 40k mechanicus and dlc heretek well I thought GW always want games witch have the playable characters to be from imperium but I thought that the way the mechanicus game is made would also be good for the dark eldar haemonculus and instead of the enemy being a necrons it could either be humans, tau or tyranids I would like your opinion or if it is a interesting topic you could make video out of it ( the last part about making video is unrealistic but hey at least I tried but I would REALY APRICIATE THE RESPOND have good day )
I really hope they add Shard dragons to the TW games. Dwarves capture and submit them whenever they have the opportunity to, due to how strong the thing is. Even just as a mount for runesmith, that would be a BIG addition of flavour to the dwarve's roster
I really like Age of Reckoning because they have a Cult, the Drakk Cult, that worships a sleeping dragon called Azorgaron. Why people worship him is because the Dragon is so powerful that its Dreams are felt by those who live around it’s hidden mountain horde. Makes me think Azorgaron may be a literal “Nightmare” dragon.
I’m very curious about the lineage of the cathayan dragons. While we know the celestial emperor was present before the old ones, the moon empress is said to have arrived on the planet and joined him. Can’t help but wonder if she is somehow closer related to the cosmic god dragon dracothian.
Vampire counts should have zombie dragons as a stand-alone unit and warriors of chaos should have chaos dragons as a standalone unit. Ogres should have a dragons that’s fat as hell
While I could imagine the first two as units, I do not think than every race MUST have its own dragons. It is known from the lore that there are reanimated dragons or those who follow the Chaos (and which we have already as mounts), but why should Ogres have "their" own dragons? Does the lore support that?
@@marcbartuschka6372 they should have their own very fat dragons bcuz it would be bad ass. Greasus riding on in greasierus (he is too fat to fly) would be swee
I honestly hope that in the future these dragons (or at least some of them) will be in game 3 along with options to add them into your armies...or even make some of them part of a race/faction's roster (could see Ogres giving Frost and Ice Dragons the Slave Giant treatment and have Tyrants go and capture those for prestige reasons while Shard Dragons would be the Dwarfs' only monster available to them). I can see Magma Dragons as hard-capped units for Chaos Dwarfs and Dark Elves (they do have Magma Dragons also living in Naggaroth's hotter areas). Like flying Dread Saurians with a breathe that can decrease the maximum health of a target and with bound lore of fire spells. And in case of Hadgar...the lore on Magma Dragons is very uncertain if Hadgar was just some artificially made Magma Dragon and the species already existed, or did the Chorfs indeed created a wholly new dragon species by transforming Hadgar into the first Magma Dragon and from that point he spawned a whole lot of Magma Dragons after he wrecked fiery vengeance. Warpfire Dragons could be like mercenaries for factions and races...except Skaven. Skaven hate them for trying to eat their warpstone reserves.
That’s something he missed, it would have been worth a good discussion on how they got there or if the possessed dragon is slightly different some how.
Dragons are a stunningly ancient race, whose forefathers lived in the Old World in those distant times, when the foot of an elf or a man had not yet set foot on these lands. Today they are very few in number, unlike in those ancient times, when the skies were full of flocks of dragons, and their wings eclipsed the sun, and high above the clouds, cold serpents fought each other to prove their superiority.
The TW:WH implementation of dragons sucks a bit, no distinctive visual differences for the main dragons aside from colours and the accent stuff ( they should be different sizes vastly different in costs and strength but we just get tiny stat differences between them which sucks, and with the AI changes to focus fire large targets they are essentially useless vs any faction with decent ranged unless you can get the dragon to engage with the ranged units themselves first to kill them You end up having to micro the dragons more than any other unit just to make sure they don't die in 30 seconds to tier one ranged units - they need another look at dragons, bump up the price for them make them stronger and turn them into units that are actually worth taking
@@RoulicisThe Especially when you consider in the lore single dragons are meant to be hard for entire armies to kill - and in TW:WH 2 or three archers can dispatch a dragon with a few volleys obviously they have to be balanced to fit into the game so they are not going to be flying nuclear weapons but they should be considerably stronger than they are now for sure
@@dathremo. The thing that annoys me the most is their terrible melee combat performances : They have HORRIBLE fighting animations, both in the air and on the ground, to the point they can fail to damage an entire group of Infantry even though they're right in the middle of it. And even if they manage to get hits, their animations makes them dive straight in the middle of the enemy formation, causing it to get surrounded and thus torn apart by much lesser troops.
I wish Lore of Beasts allowed you to summon things like spiders/bats/eagles & wolves/dog packs. Seems so crap being able to summon a chimaera. Maybe if they tie what beasts you can summon to where you are on the map. Also, lore of death should let you summon a terrorghiest. Even if the spell cost 50 winds of magic, it’s worth it. The spell can have lore like “creating an undead dragon from the bones & flesh of countless dead is a terrible sight to behold” Lore of beasts is subpar in so many ways.
aye, this one has fairly nice audio quality compared to one of your newer ones. Tho, it sadly still have the spatial audio "problem", which can easily be fixed by converting the audio to mono rather than stereo
I'd like to see more of the southern wastes. I think its highly interesting territory. After all ot stretches into the subtropical reaches of the planet, making some areas further away from the chaos gate than the empire or Tilea, and thus should be more than ice and chaos wasteland.
I have an idea for a dragon dlc/flc, so: Make a bunch of different dragons that run around the map as hordes (each army is a big dragon+a few smaller ones) everyone can attack them, when you do you get an ability like eltharion's to capture the big dragon after that you get the dragon in your regiments of renown pool (imrik style) some dragons won't be accessible to all factions (warpfire dragon->chaos aligned only) I feel like it would work better as an flc but we know CA loves money so...
I never knew the Dawi Zharr had ever MADE a Magma Dragon. That would make the magma dragons even more unique, and makes sense for the chorfs to try creating. Perhaps that should be made into the origin story of the whole species.
This makes me think how cool it would be to have in TW dragon lairs appearing in the mountains around the map, just like pirate islands. And you can go there and decide to fight them, like a mini-version of Imrik dragons. Maybe there are already mods for this, I don't know XD
Oh man, a Nightmare Dragon Legendary Lord in command of an undead faction that has ghostly spectral empire units and living armor type of units, all of which crumble extremely quickly after the lord (Only Carmine dragons can be lords that can grow into nightmare dragons through quests ala vovs/marks of chaos and levels, for example , be in a battle where 3k units die). Now that sounds interesting. Maybe the LL dragon wishes to perform a fitial to ascend to Cathay Dragon God Emperor level and thats why it has amassed armies and followers. Now this would be cool. Have him start in one of the mountains where lore states ALOT of people died, maybe have one of his objectives be building up Nagashizar to lvl 5 and then performing the ritual there as Cathay, Imrik Chaos Dwarves and the anti Undead skaven faction fight him. The anti undead Skaven faction could be the one which is the other side of the dlc.
