Hi Sulfen! Please take a look to the following short instructional video meant for Canon T6i cameras and external flashes: ua-cam.com/video/eXHheWVADfE/v-deo.html
Hello Kyle Gonzalez. The reason your flash is not working on your Canon T7 is that Canon removed the central contact on the Hotshoe. This caused compatibility issues with 3rd party flashes. Which flash do you currently own?
The TT560 is a fully manual flash and is not compatible with either the Rebel T7 or SL3. I would recommend looking for a compatible TTL flash for your camera. One flash that comes to mind is the Altura Photo AP-305c flash which is compact and powerful for general use, and easy to use. You can find out more information on the AP-305c here: ua-cam.com/video/3AX0FeKAjeY/v-deo.html.

(growl) what could be wrong - my son who is also a photographer says this particular flash just is not compatible?! how can that be. it is working still on the T5. help?!?!
Hello Patricia. Canon has removed the center contact on the hotshoe on both the EOS Rebel T7 and Reble SL3. This is what is causing the compatiblity issue. Manual or universal flashes will not work with those cameras. You would need to purchase either a Canon branded flash or one that is updated to work with those cameras. A flash that comes to mind is the Altura Photo AP-305c Flash. You could check it out here: amzn.to/2RvQqFm #CommissionsEarned

Hi Sulfen! Please take a look to the following short instructional video meant for Canon T6i cameras and external flashes: ua-cam.com/video/eXHheWVADfE/v-deo.html
I have a Rebel T7 and the flash just doesn’t go off. Test button works. Any ideas?
Hello Kyle Gonzalez. The reason your flash is not working on your Canon T7 is that Canon removed the central contact on the Hotshoe. This caused compatibility issues with 3rd party flashes. Which flash do you currently own?
Digital Goja A Neewer TT560
The TT560 is a fully manual flash and is not compatible with either the Rebel T7 or SL3. I would recommend looking for a compatible TTL flash for your camera. One flash that comes to mind is the Altura Photo AP-305c flash which is compact and powerful for general use, and easy to use. You can find out more information on the AP-305c here: ua-cam.com/video/3AX0FeKAjeY/v-deo.html.
Kyle Gonzalez hey did you ever figure out? I have the same camera as you & I’m having trouble finding a flash that’s compatible. Plus I have a photo shoot to do this Sunday
Hello La'Dhaja Lewis. The Altura Photo AP-305c flash is compatible with your Canon EOS Rebel T7. You can find out more information on the flash here: ua-cam.com/video/3AX0FeKAjeY/v-deo.html.

REACHING OUT! - I have an older canon t5 - i have a brand new canon t7 - - i have an external inexpensive flash called ONN - it worked on my other T5-s and T3 - it currently is not WORKING with my brand new T7. i did everything you suggest and a get a message consistently when i go to the menu that reads MENU NOT AVAILABLE FLASH IS OFF OR UNSUPPORTED OR AN ACCESSORY IS ATTACHED !
@@DigitalGojaUSA yup so like now what??? a $200 dollar flash by CANON is my only option? or is there a less expensive one 3rd party that will work on this - i feel screwed i got the T7 at best buy a few weeks ago i bet i could return it then ugh what would i get? the price was great im pissed at the moment!
@@DigitalGojaUSA dumb stupid but at least now im not losing my mind - lol
Hey Patricia. You are not losing your mind. We aren't sure why Canon changed/modified the hotshoe for those two cameras, but there are affordable options out there. As I mentioned in a previous comment above, Altura Photo offers a compatible TTL flash that is easy to use and has a bunch of advanced features currently selling for $59 on our Amazon storefront. You could check it out here: amzn.to/2RvQqFm #CommissionsEarned
@@DigitalGojaUSA i got a great external flash on sunday - 60 bucks best buys - i think its called SUNPAK works great! :)
Thanks for the video! I have the Canon 5D MKii and it is supposed to be compatible with the Godox X2T but I can't find on the camera where to "enable Flash" or any flash settings. All I can find is "External Speedlight Control", which when I go into that menu, it says Flash is not compatible or power isn't on. Everything is turned on and the trigger flashes the AD200 group no problem. Thanks if anyone has any help solving this problem! It's really frustrating.
Just to clarify, the Godox X2T is the trigger
You're welcome, Nulafand. I'm familiar with that radio transmitter. The error message on your camera is common when using third party flashes on your Canon Camera. We recommend that you make changes to the settings through the menu of the X2T trigger. The in camera flash menu options is designed for Canon branded flashes. Thanks for watching!
Btw to add to my comment My flash is a 430 ex ii I put in brand new batteries and that darn message comes on like the flash was off or was incompatible..So then what? I know I had to enable that’s the first thing I looked Lol.
Hello Juan Reyes. It's possible that there is something on the contacts of either the camera or the flash that is interferring with the connection. I would recommend contacting Canon for factory service.
Do not use rechargeable batteries in flash light. They have lower voltage. Use alkaline batteries. My Sigma EF-610 DG ST flash light with fresh charged batteries did not work and i got Incompatible Flash or Flash Power is Turned Off Message. Problem was in battery type.
Hello 00MysteriousTiger00. We haven't experienced issues with rechargeable batteries, but that's something worth looking into. Thanks for the advice!
@@DigitalGojaUSA Problem was in my batteries. One of them is death.
Got it! Glad to hear that you figured out the issue. Regards.
even when my flash is enabled, it still gives me the same message?? Help??
Hi Sarah, please let us know which camera you have and which message you're getting exactly. Thanks!
Digital Goja hi I'm using Neewer 561 speedlite with canon 700d and I hv the same issue
Omg thank you!!
Obviously you enable it. Lmao. It doesn't work regardless
Hi, it is not compatible with some of the more recent cameras due to the software.
@@DigitalGojaUSA I fixed the issue but not using my DSLR's built in screen. Thanks for making this video though 👍
Please remember that these flashes only work in viewfinder mode, enjoy it!
@@brentthomasaustin hey i'm having a problem with the flash for my camera how did you resolve your issue? maybe it'll work for me too thanks
REALLY? How about a real solution. Give us some credit.
Nhi hot ahe na gaa....setting camera mdhi
Don't waste your time, this doesn't fix the issue. The op has wrongly named this video!!!
Hello, MrDragonfyr. We are sorry that this video wasn't able to answer your questions. Please let us know any particular issues you are having with your flash, and we will be glad to assist you. Thanks for watching!
