      I mean he does have that ability, while different, alternate Michael demonstrated that. There weren't really many scenes for current Michael to have the need to use it. I will say for as powerful as they are, they came off clumsy at times and the only one that was honestly the most effective was Gabriel with warping realities and putting Dean in an infinite time loops. Seemed the most powerful of the 4, Michael didn't really impress much outside of creating a portal to another dimension which was strange seeing as the alternate Michael didn't do it unless I missed why he couldn't. Seems shows/games tend to underwhelm the big bads/rivals. Lucifer didn't demonstrate much either outside of snapping platoons of angels quickly. The fact that he didn't realize he didn't fully kill Crowley ( the episode where he smokes into a rat) was the cherry on the top seeing as the Demons spark out and Crowley didn't, you'd figured the eons of existence and battles something like that takes a millisecond for an Archangel to pick up on. Definitely the most underwhelming group of beings on the show outside of Gabriel.

    I didn't much like this episode but this scene just rubs me all wrong. Why, after attempting to develop him as a character with Adam, would they regress Michael's progress so much. It made no sense, even if he still felt something akin to loyalty to Chuck, for Michael to side with him knowing what he knows about all the other versions of him Chuck abandoned and doesn't give 2 shits about. It finally seemed like he understood humanity's worth through Adam and wanted to fight for them even if it meant going against his father whom previously he could not deny. They wasted the hell out of a potentially good character. RIP to the Michael that could have been.

They need to make 8 episodes with the same budget over fewer episodes and than you will see a quality product. The archangel just appearing would shake the whole room and cause dramatic weather disruption with a sense of dread in the air. It’s easy to understand how The Most Loyal son relapsed into needing his father again without Adam. Especially after Chuck brought Lucifer back just to mock Michael.
      Fun fact, Adam Milligan was born on Michaelmas; the feast of Saint Michael. Literally born to be his vessel, it’s spooky that no sooner than when Adam dies, Michael’s not too far behind.

      Castiel is technically back from the Empty by the final episode, just off-screen and Jack potentially took him with him when he left reality.
      But, it was weird.
      Castiel not being there at the end seemed more to facilitate the deal he made with the Empty, at the expense of a fitting end to the show. And it feels lackluster and empty.
      Which is a shame because the actors are there. They're doing the work. And I can feel some ways about these characters. But the plot... the plot has not been well paced or written since season 12.

    I found the scene interesting how Chuck/God smites an Archangel (Michael) that's the first time we see Gods power being used on one of his own.
    Not only this, but this brief interaction between Chuck and Michael showed how things really were with the family back in heaven. All Archangels served Chuck out of fear and in need of approval. Even when Lucifer called Michael a cuck, Lucifer was really the same. And all they were to him was toys. Once broken, gets disregarded. It didn't matter how Chuck treated them, they were programmed to love and serve.

    This episode was a huge let down. Michael/Adam deserved better and I don't even get why Michael suddenly took God's side after everything he knew. I know he used to be the "good son" but he was angry as hell when he found out that he wasn't even the only Michael and saw all the bullshit Chuck did. He knew God was gonna kill him anyway just for siding with the Winchesters when he gave them that spell to trap God, not to mention God letting him rot in the cage all that time while he brings back the likes of Lilith and Lucifer from the Empty.
    Then we have Lucifer suddenly having the ability to kill Death and Jack becomes this "power vacuum" to the point he was immune to God's power and then he just absorbed all of it? Lol. I guess expecting decent writing for the last few episodes of the show was too much to ask for. Also don't get why Jack, being the new "God", didn't bring back Castiel -- or why Dean didn't even ask him to. I really hope the finale is good but at this point, my expectations are pretty low.

      1. Michael was always eventually going to side with Chuck/God. Chuck created Archangels to serve him no matter what. It's in their nature to be Chucks Cucks (Lol the rhyme) and The boys figured that out. All the archangels had it in their nature to be Chucks favorite and nothing else, so it turned out.
      2. Yeah, I didn't buy the part where Lucifer could kill Death, unless Chuck gave him a mighty finger snap ability?
      3. It only makes sense why Jack would become the new God. It was probably his destiny from the start being half archangel and human, he'd have a better understanding of human nature and being raised from family (unlike Chuck) he'd do a better job, having a soul and all. This was probably written a while back when you hear Kelly Klein tell Jack he was destined to make the world a better place before he was born.
      4. Who knows? Jack may bring them all back in the season finale but bare in mind, the only reason most people kept coming back from the dead was because of Chucks obsessive storytelling that defied the laws of death.

I mean even if Jack could absorb power like that, God using his powers on Sam and Dean you'd think wouldn't absorb enough power to suddenly beat the deity himself. If I was god and I flung around energy at the boys I wouldn't use enough energy. The boys are gnats compared to god. And you'd think he'd be like "Hey wait a second, I can feel energy being siphoned off me." But oh well. I was so confused by what the writers did with the character of Micheal/Adam. They were stuck together for so long and developed a bond; as was stated in the episode where he returned, they developed a partnership, they only had each other. They became family. I thought that Micheal was on an redemption arc. I wished they would have made him learn to love humanity ( living on Earth) and wanted to protect them (seeing that fathers are not always right). It would have been cool to see him maybe helping Jack become familiar with his role. I also wondered what happen to Adam and why Cas's death wasn't really apart of the episode. Maybe because of the pandemic, the show's ending was rushed. I really liked what happened to Chuck though; it was the perfect punishment for someone with his ego. It may take a bit of time and money, but to live up to the hype the entire area that Michael and Lucifer were fighting Chuck in is utterly destroyed, that entire lake evaporates completely from just one of Lucifer's basic attacks, the area destroyed by a shockwave created by Michael's attack and Chuck creates a huge crater simply by powering up. While they fight devastating natural disasters happen all over the planet destroying entire countries, all the while Sam and Dean comment on how terrifying their power is and are transported to a safe place by the Original Death who reveals that they never killed him and laughs at the thought.
    When Michael and Lucifer begin to struggle Raphael and Gabriel join them, revealing that The Empty sent them. The Archangels barely defeat Chuck and the entire world is destroyed by the fight, Jack restores the world when he takes Chuck's power.
    After God's defeat; Michael goes to heaven and keeps things in line (since Jack bounced)
    Raphael is given a second chance by Michael and is forced to be the protector of Humanity.
    Gabriel goes back to living for pleasure.
    Lucifer takes back hell and keeps Demons in line which fixes the natural order (the order that Eve explained, humans killing monsters, monsters killing humans)

      It was the same with Gabriel, they needed him for the plot, for his grace; once they got into the Apocalypse world, they didn't need him anymore so he died. I guess the writers really hate the archangels

      So fans who keep bothering and asking for Lucifer to come back, can stfu. Honestly, I would do the same thing. Y’all want an annoying ass character like Lucifer back just to be annoying again? Ok, it’s the final season so let’s give them what they want and then kill him off once again, permanently. God he was so unnecessary.

    Season 5: "a fight between lucifer and michael will destroy half of all life on the planet"

    There is a perfectly logical explanation for why the battle between Michael and Lucifer did not harm anyone. While Lucifer and Mikhail were fighting, all their power was absorbed by Jack.

    This pissed me off.
    Michael is a traumatised, grieving abuse victim, who is literally sent back to his abuser after gaining freedom, only to be brutally killed.
    This is what you don't do to abuse victims, CW.

    • @Hanaa_ishere
      @Hanaa_ishere 3 роки тому

      Except that he's trying to get into his abuser's favour again, despite seeing what he has done. How is that logical?

    • @alexhollinghurst3945
      @alexhollinghurst3945 3 роки тому

      @@Hanaa_ishere Trauma isn't logical. Neither is grief. He went back to Chuck in an attempt to get Adam back, to survive this apocalypse and become his Father's favourite again. Michael wasn't in the right mental state at all for anything that happened during this episode.

    As good as the ending was, They should’ve had death and eve take away gods power, Death being the one to bring him down alongside the darkness meaning NOTHING is above the natural order, And Eve bringing back monsters which also brings back the humans as she was once human (Possibly eve from the bible turned bad) She than walks away with the OG death and everything returns to normol.
