I think it was more Chuck promising to bring Mary back and Dean realizing that Chuck was just bs'ing to get his own way, and also realizing that Chuck was never going to let them live in peace.
This is the best show ever created.
I gotta say, watching the fans go so insanely nuts over this show is kinda cringe.
But also being a fan, I get it. Love the show. I just felt like the Winchester story could have ended a while ago, even if they still took this route.

The frankly terrible writing, repeated storylines, recycled villains & most of all the whole Chuck/Big Bad reveal was tacked on & pretty much ruins the shows legacy. The best finale of this show & pretty much the best finale of any show in history was Swan Song. Season 5 had a fantastic ending, Season 15 did not
@Xana It was desperation on the writers part they had no way to go so came up with a terrible twist that God was playing with them from the start & your right. If God is powerful enough to do all that to the brothers, he should have had no problem wiping them out

This show would of been one of the greats If they ended it at season 5. It still had some good seasons after 5 but it would of been close to perfect with how they ended it on Swan Song.

The writing has been absolutely dogshit since season 6, im surprised people are just now realizing how bad it is with that epsiode.
It's quite clear CW we're hiring hack writers and possibly kids straight out of High School or College to write these scripts ever since Eric Kripke and his award winning team left after Season 5 (THE TRUE CONCLUSION TO THE SHOW!!!) so people only realizing how absolutely shit the show became around this and season 15 is just mind blowing 😆
@@2Good2BeTrue45 Season 6 was pretty decent writing wise. It had some of the best characters arcs/moments in the series IMO and added to the mythos without numerous retcons like the Jeremy Carver era. It just had too many overarching plots jumbled into one season.
Season 8 was when the show officially went to shit. Demons stopped being vile and menacing, Angels stopped being fearsome, characters were ruined and the lore was tarnished. If it had ended with Sam, Dean and Castiel closing the gates of Heaven and Hell, Season 8 could have been alright as a finale, but it just got worse and worse.

That was an epic part of that show or episode I don't know about you guys but I wouldn't want to live if somebody like Chuck is controlling everything to them it's all fun and games that's no way to live
I called this ending at the time but it sucked. They kinda didn't know how to end it and went this route because they made it make sense for Chuck to be the "endgame"
In a way it do make sense, as Dean and Sam getting revived over and over in 13 seasons. It make more sense that God is helping behind the scene while watching it as a show

The show should have had a bittersweet ending after season 5. The fact that the show dragged on so long cheapened a lot of things and caused all kinds of writing inconsistencies and a bankruptcy of ideas. I wager this show would have been way better if it had aired on a network like HBO. The spooks and violence could have been turned up and I'd bet the quality and consistency of the writing would have been better as well.

I am extremely agreed with Sam and Dean, I mean how could we all be so blind and deaf? And to be honest, I knew it was god himself, he's behind all of it , everything since the very beginning. But imagine he does the same thing over the past centuries until that time he choose John and Mary Winchesters to be hunters to entertain him, and once they got married and have the birth of two boys to carry out their legacy for their parents or the brothers avenge their death by the demons. But other words is everything they been going through of this story since 2005, their parents and Jessica died, ghosts and monsters, angels, and demons, watching death of all innocent kind people and all hunters, apocalypse, world of chaos, time traveling situation to go in flashback of their stories, the brothers keep on dying and bought back to life Death and the other reapers named Billie and Tessa, with Castiel, Lucifer, Lilith, Gabiel, Crowley, Micheal, alternative Micheal, Amara, and of course jack, I mean everything they gone through is because of God, which of course back at the motel hell with all the other gods in it they just be part of Chuck's story line, just to find the way to get with of them all in one so he'll be the only god in the universe with Lucifer been used vs with his Gabriel. Remember about that other episode called the monster at the end of this book, the first time that Chuck's appearance just to fake to be as the author for Winchesters fall for it, to get them off his trail. He Just doing to get them boys to playing his show just to keep on going through over and over and over again, that's exactly explain about season 8, ep 22, poor beautiful Sarah blake and all the other victims the boys saved completely but instead they failed in the next chapter, also Kevin and Charlie were on the same boat and their mother return and then die again by jack that only this time it was accident just to keep going and going when he entirely fresh of all the idea, and then keep going and going. Man just think of all that, he's a creater, inventor, and also a writer, writers lied, writers make believe writers likes to treat them all like mindless puppets after everything they done for him this is all the thanks he give the entire society. He done all that just make like it a wide screen TV for him lay back and watch the enjoyment until his cover is officially blown thanks to all tall, smart, and handsome named Sam But actually Dean Lucifer Alternate Michael and Armara was right about chuck but Lucifer was knowing his father better than everyone does. And how exactly we all describe that any of the challenges or death and destruction was born of Chuck's imagination? Oh I tell you how, because it's call life, that's what is, that's the way it is in the real world but damn, after 14 season they really are facing the real monster at the end of this book, and like I said remember that episode.

That Chuck/God turns out to be the villain should have surprised no one. The clues have been there for years. But any writer will tell you that characters have a way of taking on lives of their own.

So I am starting S 15 and making sure I have all the info. Do I have this correct? Chuck was the writer but is actually God. So that's how He knew the storylines years ago? And he takes out the new Jack since it's just another "demon"? I am still confused on the Becky too 😂

Ah Chuck, once a god now reduced to being a mortal later on. Making me think someone, another “god” decided to use him as the villain.
That or the directors of the show thought that be a good idea. Either way, Chuck really enjoyed being the monster at the end of the book within the main Supernatural timeline.
Plus, I don't think it was all for nothing. They pretty much cleaned up the original God's worst/best creations in their main timeline. Either were copies of entities from the previous iteration timelines or relics of past seasons. Also in the main timeline, his sister Amara appears due to current versions of the Winchesters. As they abandoned the previous iterations.
Even though these are theories. Dean appearing in The Winchesters suggests that despite Chuck erasing the other timelines, they are slowly being rebuilt without his meddling, yet. As we don't fully know if still he is stuck being a mortal or if he found a way to slowly get power back when Jack not looking. Just theories.
Anyways, at least Jack is doing his best as the new god after this. Plus with Amara as a part of him, there is a form of balance. For the family isn't always blood it's the ties they form with them, like with Winchesters and Castiel.

The moment when Chuck met the version of Sam Winchester that took down Lucifer in season 5 Swan Song now that version of Sam should have made Chuck runaway really f****** fast. The show went to shit when the showrunners came up with the Darkness, multiverses and evil God that created the story for Winchester brothers. The entire series could easily finish within 8 seasons, 10 max with different plot.

Eric Kripke, the creator of the series already stated that Season 5 is the true ending of the series. It's also why he had no problem going off to make another massive hit, adapting the Boys on Amazon to which Jensen Ackles ran off to that show as fast as he could.

I enjoyed the turn and it was a great finale. I just didn't like the arc or build to it. Season 14 had a lot going on and it felt like it had poor direction. We had Dean/Micheal as the big bad but just like Deanmon we couldn't have that last too long. That concept was cut short quickly just like Season 10's opening. Then you had Soulless Jack as the main focus but we couldn't really have that either, then we kill Mary, again, after we run out of things for her to do, then J2 decide they want Season 15 to be the last so they throw Chuck in there as a last resort.

In My opinion Dean wanted to do Chuck the firar god ever since session 4.
I don't mean to sound so cynical or antireligious, but dean and Sam have a damn point. If god is in control of everything? why doesn't he just stop all the crap, and give us paradise already? instead of a lifetime of trials every day of our lives?

God as an engineer shouldn't "chuck" broken things away. Actually, I think the name unto itself, "Chuck" is so ironic. He's chuck, because God chucks things away when they don't do anything He wants. But the fact is, why chuck things away as God? You could leave it, try to fix it, forcefully fix it, or upgrade it. Doesn't make any sense in this show. Since he's God, he could snap Dean and Sam to non existence and back thereof, if possible, so after that, you could have a musical by bringing all the dead characters back, but this is sadly on Chucks whim or will if he wants to do so. And the irony here is that he's developed a system where innately, there's "free will".

these stupid end-of-SPN stories screwed up the series, and this actor was excellent as a prophet, but acting as God didn't marry was pretty ridiculous. The screenwriter must have problems. In battle like Amara, I was even ashamed, I wanted to give up on the series, a confused mess. What's more, how the boring boy managed to suck all the power out of God, with only God punching the Winchesters. It doesn't make sense, if humans took a blow from God, they would die, simple, then the boy in the end sucks all the power of God, what a shame. Then they take the grace off the Winchesters by revealing that they were Favored by God. So what a damn ending for such a good series
The series suffered from being dragged on way past its time. There were multiple changes in writers through the years which contributed to a decline in quality and many inconsistencies.
They must've broken some records with the amount of cuts and bad acting, jesus christ.

Yeah. After season 5, the whole family drama crap was already getting worn. It was so predictable and tiresome every time it happened. One brother would keep something from the other until it finally came out. Then conflict would ensue, but of course when it counted, one brother would forgive the other b/c "muh family" and they would reconcile and kick butt together.
OR
One brother would do something rash to save the other (make a deal with a demon, sacrifice himself, etc) and the other would have to spend a whole bunch of time figuring out how to deal with or undo what was done. Back and forth, back and forth.
