My 2019 Chevy Blazer RS showed up with the same exact codeP0128 at our home when we checked it on the code reader device . I took it to the Chevy dealership & was told it was the Radiator leaking coolant that is why the temperature was low. $2400 later, the same codes are coming up after only 2 weeks & it now reads same code & says coolant thermostat! Thanks for the video. The dealer seems to be unsure of what could be the problem. I bought a new 2023 CT5 V6 550T and about a month ago, the car wouldn't start. The car had under 2000 miles and Cadillac Roadside assistance changed the battery. Now, a month later and 2700 miles, the DIC said "Steering assist is reduced. Drive with care" and " Service power steering. No assist soon". It goes in in two weeks. I'm assuming it was from the battery change as you mentioned. I restarted the car and it went away. Now I'm afraid to go anywhere with a new car because it's unreliable.
changing the battery will also likely trigger 20 codes and error messages... normal. precharge the new battery (they are not fully charged). swap it and enjoy the show. turn it off, clear the codes and go for a long drive, like 1-2 hours. should be good.
This warning started popping up 3 days ago, and it sounds like there's a loud fan/blower going. And then just now the engine light came on... any ideas??
If the fan is full speed even with the car off, it lost com with the temp sensor. Unhook battery and rebook it up. If that don't work, replace sensor and then unhook and rebook battery
@@josephswift7622 That happened on my 17 Sierra..I shut it off,fans still going on high..I popped the two fuses,disconnected negative cable..Went & grabbed new temp sensor,problem solved..

That's when the engine light came on. My o b d tester won't give me any codes. I think I need to update my OBD2. Is there a belt that goes to the power steering?

my 2016 yukon was doing the exact thing you mentioned. I had it towed to the shop today, as I was scared it would do it again and cause wreck. Have you had your vehicle checked out?
Some scan tools only scan for engine codes but not transmission, ABS, or SRS codes. You may need to take the car to a mechanic and have them scan for errors.
I've been back-and-forth with g.M and Firestone for a year.Telling them these symptoms that they claim never existed until it was out of warranty.And now i'm stuck with fixing and replacing this rack. Its been sitting for a month. Fuck GM
My daughter in law had to take my spare Durango because the Chevy Colorado is on the street with no power steering poor thing just got the tranny leak fixed and the a/c filled because the connection is not the size from a store bought 134a can …I mean who put together this crap ? Any way battery looks good I tried the on and off to reset it and that didn’t work …it’s like 110 outside in the shade and Hercules would have to turn the wheel to get it up in the driveway…if this had happened when she was driving it there is no way she could have kept from driving off into a ditch…law suits are definitely coming …that’s pre meditated murder to know a faulty system with such a safety issue would even be able to be manufactured!!!!!It has an electronic power steering module…Huh? That should have been a red flag warning right there no wonder they sold it to her used…anyway going to go out there and sweat it out to see if it’s the wiring harness or a battery hard reset …I will keep what you said on the back burner ..but that should in no way cause this issue..but I’m not saying your wrong because obviously the e engineering’s department should be locked up for attempting vehicular man slaughter!Im going to make a lot of money on this one …2015 my ass it’s happening in 2019 as well as all of them all the way to 2023 …
And one more thing I might add ..no censor or especially a thermostat or even anything that could interrupt a vehicle safely maneuvering from the steering source can and will be proven negligent …if anyone dies from such an idiotic device …regardless of a pre programmed warning warranty uploaded to the system on board computer is not a wavier transferable in court …!!!

This message just came up right after getting my key fob replaced and programmed. I don't know how? Could be a coincidence or something they did with the onboard computer to program the key fob. I am so lost.
I call BS to GM on all this! It’s prolly pre programmed to throw this crap! It all happens at 50k when it just gets out of warranty! Then what about all the people that do all this and it keeps coming back? It’s in the software I’ll bet!

Does the fan/air blow through your vents, on any or all fan speeds?? The blower motors were quite famous for going out..
It’s time to crack open one of those modules and see where the cost cut was that caused harm to life and property…take them to court ASAP

Just got home with mine- it has 23 miles. Light came in, steering assist, no power steering. Getting towed to dealer tomorow ffs…

I've had this error come and go. The Acadia seems to drive fine, just that if you start to move out of your lane the car will not correct itself.

Fixed! I just removed the negative wire of the battery to reset the engine computer
