I have the factory lowered version and can get both feet flat on the ground. As a 67 year old with 2 new knees this is a major plus point! I am loving it!
Ver nice. 👌
I cannot agree enough, the looks are the most important thing for me too, and the new look and the COSMIC YELLOW is why I'm considering the Triumph for the first time!
I have 24 red triple rs and love it!
Got mine 2 weeks ago same colour and agree its a phenominal bike and without doubt the best I've ever owned including numerous 1000cc sprtsbikes. and I've been riding 35 years!!! However I really dislike the tft the rev counter is so hard to read and the font is so small. Not enough to put me off buying it though just a disappointment from triumph.
I waited 8 months for mine to turn up and have never owned a triumph, having owned multiple 1000cc bikes including a fire blade I wanted something to make me want to get out more and picked a cosmic yellow 765rs and I have to say what a machine, mines just run in did 170 miles last week no aches etc but it's just unbelievable, the engine handling are fantastic and tgw brakes are another level thankfully as I am a fast road rider. The TFT is ok and I'm happy with how I have it set and the looks, I pop out to the garage just to have a look it's a work of art. So happy with my purchase. Oh one more thing again , the brakes best I've ever had 😁
Well said. I agree with everything. 👌
I know the feeling Dave,Was out on mine this morning, parked her up and was looking at her from behind. WOW 😂😂😂
Can't go wrong with a Street Triple.....great bikes.
Cheers Andy, I’m a little bit addicted!
I've had my Speed Twin 1200 for 8 months and I love it. My first Triumph, apart from a couple in the 70's, and I'm now a fan boy. Good to hear you're enjoying the Street Triple. I also really like your VFR800.
I've got a 955i speed triple, 22years old, it's bloody awesome, better than most modern bikes I've ridden, The 765 Street is probably the modern version of mine and a bike that has taken my eye, I've tried the new 1200 speed triple! It's to much for the road in my opinion, very aggressive.
Love this , had mine since January. Best bike I’ve ever owned 🎉
I enjoyed the twist at the end 😂
I own the '24 Street Triple R and love it as well. Cheers from America!
Glad you're enjoying the replacement for the RS660.
I've owned my moto2 765 for 6 months and now have 1800 miles and still love the looks and performance to match, I do wish it had a tad bit more torque and hp other than that fantastic bike.
Absolutely love the description of the love affair, so well described and you can feel the passion. Brilliant, great review. I want one so badly now. Thanks
Ah cheers mate. And let me tell you, the love affair is still in full flow! It’s an incredible bike all round. 😍
Great review! I loved the analogy to a mistress - it does seem like the best way to describe it 😂 I also have a Cosmic Yellow that I’ve had for exactly 1 year (7,500km), and it is almost embarrassing to say how much head space she occupies 😄 No matter how fatigued I am after a morning ride out (and happy to make it home safely) it is always bittersweet to have to park. The whistle of that engine and the feeling of this bike is just so addictive!
I kept my Street Twin which I love for different reasons, but when I take the Street Twin out instead of the Triple, I can’t help but feel that I’m going to miss out on a lot more fun 😊
Thanks Brandon, you know exactly what I mean! 😉👌
I think you have purchased the best colour - Lovin your work from Perth Australia
Thanks very much. 🙏👌
Hi Dave I get what you say about the bike, I was not sure at first then i took one out, WOW what a bike they are, In the real world they are all you need & more, Had to re-calculate my noggin to remember it has a quick shifter & blipper , But that's just an age thing on my part, never used one until then, ATB Wayne UK......😀👍
Cheers Wayne. 🙏
Nice review Dave, made me laugh, very light hearted. I ride a speed twin 1200 and a Ducati MSV4, love them. Last week while waiting for service I took the 765RS out for a 20 minutes and I was stunned. Did not want to give it back! I can see one in my garage just fine ✌️
Best bike I’ve ever had anyway. Totally addictive.
Great video, sir. I own a Triumph Trident, primarily due to its lower cost, but i absolutely love that triple engine and riding comfort. Maybe one day I'll get an ST RS.... but at 61 yrs old my time may be running out 😅
Thanks! Even at 54 I thought this bike would be too uncomfortable but it’s the total opposite. 👌🏍️
Quando scendo in garage e la vedo... Nonostante siano già 4 anni che è con me... Penso sempre.... HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE
Always glad when a 6 month review is a good one. Even when you find some faults, I've found that that some things need to be learned. Most of these machines are much smarter than we are. Like a new wife, somethings just take time. Just got a new phone. I'm going on 71 and thought my bikes 🏍 were complicated. NEW things to learn. LOL. 👍👍5🏍🙋♂️
Cheers John.
Got my cosmic yellow just under a month ago, after parting ways with the lovely Vitpilen 701. And it reminds me of all the best qualities of that bike (agile, lightweight and absolutely incredible to look at) with added comfort, power, and a much smoother engine. It's my dream bike and of all the bikes I've ridden (Ducati Monster, last gen MT09, XSR 900, Livewire One amongst others including my old Hondas) it brings out the most pure enjoyment of riding out of me.
There is one thing I don't like about it though. The kickstand. It's just awkward. But, I'm getting used to it and it might be the biggest nitpick ever.
Thanks for the fun video!
Cheers Ian. Yes the kick stand is annoying.
@@WheelieGoodTV barely worth acknowledging though to be honest 😂
Hi Dave, I've had my cosmic yellow rs for 13 months now and covered 2700 miles, I absolutely love mine, the only thing I could fault would be the tft font size. It's too small. I had a 2014 street triple 675r for 6 yrs with a year break between the two. I missed the 675 so much, I had to buy the cosmic yellow bike. I think you should try a 675r with a quick shifter if possible. They're not as refined, but more basic. No rider modes or bs electronics, just abs. A little more raw, but still an awesome bike.
As always, Dave, your enthusiasm and quality of video always make me smile mate. I’m watching this in a hotel in Athens on my trip to Cappadocia Turkey but that’s a whole other story. I’m pretty sold on this bike myself, but concerned it might be too similar to my current Ducati Diavel V4, too bikes the same perhaps. I’m looking forward to seeing what she looks like and what you think with the luggage all attached.
Thanks Jamie!
The kreiga us dry bags do fit on the rear seat with additional straps/clips from kreiga 👍🏻
Congratulations, this is arguably the best sports naked bike on the market today. Triumph did a really great job when you compare this bike, even just on a spec sheet to everything that it could possibly compare to, all the way up to a Ducati V2. I have a spec sheet that compares bikes based on power to weight ratio, torque to weight ratio, torque available at road speeds, agility based on geometry calculations, all the way to practical things like fuel economy. The triumph just sits in a nearly unmatched design envelope that is good at everything and very hard to beat. The only bike that comes close is probably the Street fighter V2, but that's a lot more money and doesn't sound as nice. For me tho, I am well above 6ft tall, and it's one of the smallest bikes on the market, so it starts to look like a mini bike with me sat on it. I guess if I was shorter, it would be a no-brainer. I also go back and forth on the looks too.
Wow good info. It cements my decision to have bought this incredible machine. 👌
I agree with you on how it looks.
Alright alright! Youve convinced me to trade in my trident.
🤣🤣👌 You won’t regret it.
13:15 I was waiting for you to call out the horrible tach styles. You have to admit, the tach styles of 4 year old gen with bulbous headlights were far superior to the drainage ditch style tach of today. Triumph could have simply just added them all together but they got rid of the bar and circular styles, which are highly legible and widely accepted as standard. The tach is the reason I currently don’t own an RS. I might buy the R, but waiting for T to get their S together.
I know how you feel about the bike Dave I feel the same about mine it has everything I’ve ever wanted and I also look back longingly as I close the shed door when I’ve put her away and said night night 🤣. However…. My love is for my Suzuki GSXS 1000GT +. The only thing I don’t like about mine is the names so bloody long 🤣. Safe riding mate and don’t worry I won’t tell your wife 🤣🤣🤣
Besides the bike those views are amazing! I envy ya Dave. I'm waiting to see the results the recent bike shop adventure "BMW" 👍💙 Keep these videos coming.
Appreciated mate. Yes we are spoiled for scenery and biking roads in Ireland. Incredible playground.
@@WheelieGoodTV well i greatly appreciate you sharing with us 👍
Thanks for the update Dave. Like you I absolutely love my 765. However I find it a bit viby. I’ve fitted grip puppies to help and it does, but I can’t solve viby mirrors. Bar end weights don’t work. I went all in on a pair of Rizoma’s which has made some modest improvements, but 70mph and it’s a wash out. Happy to hear of any suggestions. Ride safe😊
I also have owed 1 for about 3 weeks now and I agree with u about the mirrors anything over 70 and no clue what's going on behind other than that love it all. Would ubsay was worth doing the mirrors 2 rizoma ones then keen to find the best fix for this small issue🐝 .
@@Leeg123 Rizoma’s set me back over £400, that includes the bar ends. I had some cheap billet machined mirrors off eBay, which did 90% of the Rizoma’s but… I didn’t know that when I bought them. Clearly a personal choice but I’d now rather spend the money on something else. BW. 👍
Yeah over 70mph it’s a blur but I’m not getting the vibes into my hands. The Aprilia did exactly the same.
same for me. gonna add the cruise control and i added evo tech bar weights, they helped a smidge. I ride up to 80 on freeway into work and doing ok with mirrors. cruise will help on freeway rides to give hands breaks - 4 hour 1st ride (2 hr ea way) hands would numb. Regardless absolutely love the machine!
Just a thought if you're thinking of 2/3 day tours the kreiga us drybags are perfect. I've got the 20litre one which I use with the sw motech day bag on the tank. Striple rs 2021 👍🏻
Also love these bikes . You mentioned a negative -stock tyres not that good on U.K. roads
Yeah the stock tyres it comes with. Rosso Corsa 3’s. Not good at all for UK and Ireland.
There are a few videos where people take these things to track days, and I have seen high 140mph on long straights.
Excellent content, especially the angry wasp. I'm picking one up in a couple of weeks, did you change the tyres? if so what did you pick?
@@andymushlarky7819 thanks Andy, yes I went for my usual Michelin Road 6 tyres. The bike is absolutely incredible!!! 😍🤗
Good man Dave,how's she cuttin..
Will you have to get the switchgear changed to retro fit the cruise control?
Ah yes,you know it's the right bike when you park up and always look back lustfully at her!🙂
Sláinte Turlough!
I’ve only done 400 miles in 3 months joys of the weather and working night shift 🙈
I purchased a Street Triple RS a month ago in cosmic yellow, and so far I have done around 100 miles. While using the quick shifter to change gears, I often experience a noticeable pull-back effect (like pushing), and the process is not always smooth. This sensation is more noticeable during downshifting, which is considerably less smooth compared to the upshifting process. Also, there are instances when using the quickshifter results in engaging the neutral gear instead of second gear. This unexpected shift has occurred on multiple occasions, leading to a somewhat unpredictable riding experience.
I'm curious if any other Street Triple RS riders have encountered a similar issue with their quick shifter?
Mmm that doesn’t sound good. I’ve had no false neutrals and I’ve never noticed the drag effect immediately after changing. It’s the smoothest box I’ve ever used. I would be taking a trip back to your dealer.
@@WheelieGoodTV Yes, I will do that. I will just wait until the first 600 miles/oil changing as the bike is in its running-in stage...
I cannot get the quickshifter to work properly on mine, so I simply do not use it!
@@TheMickvee I kind of figure out just before to shift up the gear with the QS put the throttle back a bit and then shift. It gets really smooth.
Its my dreambike.. one day itll be my turn to ride her ❤
And you won’t regret it one bit. Incredible bike. 🙏😍🏍️
Hello Dave. What's that accessory you got mounted on the dash? I have a sport 660 and love it. The tripe engine is brilliant!
Hi Paulo, that’s the Michelin tyre pressure sensor. 👌🏍️
Had a lot of triumphs over 45 years of biking currently on a tiger 1200 gt pro and hate it ! Pick up the street RS next week 😊. Be interested in what luggage you have chosen. Cheers
Enjoy your new bike.
I've 2021 ST RS and it's a great bike 🤩 where in Ireland are you riding? Looks like Co. Monaghan or Cavan? I'm not too far away from there in Co. Louth 👍
Bang on and well spotted. Cavan it is. 👌🙏🏍️🤣
Crying out for a tail tidy!
Yes, and remove the rear pegs and the awful reflectors. 😆
@@jeffwertz2953 100%! I’ve done that with mine and it looks a million times better!
Nah, I prefer without. I might change my mind next month though as I have been known for it!🤣🤗
And a flyscreen,,oh but triumph will sell you it as an accessory, 🤑
It's an especially good looking bike in that yellow.
Dave,if there's a Yamaha dealership near you take an
MT 09 out for a spin.
You don't have to want to buy one but the cp3 engine will blow you away.👍
Fantastic video Dave but I have a problem, I’ve ridden the 765 RS and want one but can’t justify buying one but can’t get it out of my mind either 😂 real world problems 😂🤔🤔
Stop being tight and buy it!
I know that feeling Paul!!🤣🤯
Do it, you only live once! Enjoy yourself 😊
That's a lovely machine.
Have you found any issue with water retention in the handle controls, starter and light switches, in that housing area?
None at all Gareth.
Did you own a aprilia rs660 Dave ? How did it compare to street triple rs ?
@@paulbarnes6124 hi Paul, yes I did. I’ve made a separate video about this.
Seems you’re enjoying it more than the RS660 already? Cheers!
Actually come to think of it yes. The 660 was superb but this is next level. 😮💨👌
I am getting mine delivered end of this week, how are the stock tires in the wet?
Congratulations! Tyres were bad as I expected so seriously change them out. I have Michelin Road 6 which are incredible in all weather.
@@WheelieGoodTV Thanks, I may, but it's going to be different tyres just for the winter/autumn as I am planning to take this bike to the track quite a lot.
But would you buy it AGAIN??? ... love my 765R (not RS) ... but I feel like I bought the wrong bike.
I’d buy again in a heartbeat. Best bike I’ve ever owned. 😍
The only issue with this bike is you can’t get enough of it.
🤣🤣🙏👌
Disappointing this model has a smaller tank than previous. Hesitant to sell my 2019 model
I was expecting to end with 'the dash'. God I hate it, even if I had perfect 20/20 vision I'd hate it. Every single of the 4 layouts are awful.
yup. Such a pity.
Ducati 916.
😍😍🤗
Triumph some real rat bastards for not making cruise control a standard feature on a 13k bike in the US
🤣👌
