Dave,if you don't find beaver lodge,they are most likely then in the creek bank. It's more secure for them being inside in the ground.
Here where i live they don't even make lodges cause our river streams are crazy can rise and drop for few meters.
They all dig dens into the river and creek banks.

the beaver house will be dug into the bank. thing you got to worry about is the ice will not be near as thick by the feed piles have had a few things fall through areas like that.
With all the powerful toys you’ve got it may be time to upgrade to a far less practical but much more powerful chainsaw like a Stihl MS881!
Beautiful tree. Here in Northern Ontario all the Christmas trees on our property got killed by spruce beetle.

But that's honestly the better trail tool than a gas powered chainsaw. More reliability and less fire hazard. And more convenient than a hand saw... ✌️
