For such an incredible vehicle, you are the only vlogger with any practical applications or trail usage for the 6x6. Moab, snow plows, keep it coming! Great job debuting this machine!
The 6x6 is a beast!! The winch plows are ok but after a year or two you’ll spend more time fixing and less time plowing. Very frustrating especially in bad weather. I finally got off my wallet and bought a Boss Plow for my Rhino. Six years old and not one problem!
Here we are 4 years later and I am still plowing with the same blade, issue free, this plow is a lot heavier built then 90% of the sxs plows on the market
Heck ya dude! Far superior to my Warn Provantage power pivot that I have on my RZR. I’m using that because I didn’t like the Polaris Glacier plow system. I’ve had my Warn system for 6-7 years now and had to replace the power pivot last year because the main gear busted in half. It’s an electric pivot. That machine/plow combo you’ve got is wicked!
Great videos and thanx for posting! I just put the drift cutters on my super duty plow that's mounted on my defender XMR and a roller fair lead on my winch! The drift utters allow you to carry so much more snow with no wind rows! Cheers from Ottawa🍺
That looks absolutely beautiful the way you have it set up! Beyond professional looking. Looks like the wheels never broke traction. I'm patiently waiting for snow so I can get a feel for my 6x6
I guess all your neighboors around the lake are already used to listen to engine sounds once the lake is frozen, lol. What a beast this 6x6 is! Great video.
Nice rig. I put a plow setup on my ranger with a cab and heat.Used it as a back up. You can't beat a front mounted snow blower on a tractor that has down pressure for scraping.
I think the 6x6 plows better than a truck in many ways. My biggest problem is with the Polaris steel cab my machine is so heavy that when I hit something it usually drives through it and bends the plow frame. I'm on my second frame.. And I'm talking low range doing 5 mph tops. Polaris offers a winch switch that mounts on top of the gear shift lever. One of the best ideas I've come across for plowing snow. You can by one that will lift and lower and also angle the plow. Great machine you have. If I hadn't invested so much in mine I'd trade up tomorrow.
You've got a nice setup on your can am. I've got a can am commander with a kolpin 6' blade with a high lift mount and power angle. When installing the blade system I wasnt real impressed with the quality but after a snow fall, it held up well. I love the power angle. Wish it had heat though. Great video
Wonder if you could fab a bracket so you could have hydraulic down pressure or simply put weight on the sub frame extension to cut down on skip/chatter. You'd think with hyd side/side that you could tee off the line for down pressure unless I'm missing something. Very nice setup.
Drifting my xmr the same way last year I hit a frozen sled track and rolled her and i mean rolled her I had too flip it back over on ice alone and u know the 1000 xmr r r not light ..cheers man
Ive been watching your vids for atleast a couple of months now.. First know i noticed, that i havent clicked that sub button... Ohmygod! But now its done. :-) I love your videoes, great work man. Norway says hi!
Ever notice how the "Plow" trucks push snow off to one side of a roadway? That's because thats the meaning Plowing snow. What you're doing is closer to compacting it, which should make for a great ice rink after a bit of sun melt and freezing night temps.
nice set up, i have the defender, except no 6x6, lol. attack angel needs to be tilted for pavement. i stuck a chunk of 3/4 plywood between the blade to tilt it forward, cuts way better now. i remove wood for the grass areas. the defender is an absolute beast, hands down best machine i owned so far. i even plowed my gravel driveway in the summer months, solid. im running mudderinlaws, nice tire, a lil ruff at slow speeds, wobble your man boobies all over the place, bahaha. i have the xmr and the winch is much higher, and the fairlead, none roller will eat your rope in a heartbeat, find the roller fairlead before you burn the rope out.
Hollllyyyyy smokes! Now THIS is a rig. I run a 4' blade in my canam outlander and make pretty good money with it. I run the snatchblock pulley like you. Gets the plow angle great. This sucker wouldnt fit in my 6x12 enclosed trailer though hahahah. Super cool!
I watched every video you did on the first 6X6, you built and figured that would be my next machine to replace my polaris magnum 6x6. But know seeing this beast in action, I think i am going to go this route. Just wondering how much firewood you can get in the back before it starts squatting bad, or tire rubbing? Keep up the great videos and the builds are sick!!!
I figured it would be able to plow faster then that, if you saved just another 10 grand you got have got a decent pickup to plow that with. It would be a lot quicker and you can use it on the road as well.
Awesome unit....I have two questions. Where did you get the tires.....make and rim models....look really good. Also, I notice you have the snorkel, but the system would not let me add that option with the premium cab?
I was considering a plow on my Defender, I saw a video where Brandon Pierce put one on his first gen X3XRCRR which looked a little flimsy, could the plow for the X3 be plastic? Yours looks aluminum and seems to work really well. I wonder how well it works in a foot or more, especially the heavy slushy stuff. I guess we shall see in future vids. Another awesome video Osta!
So, would the winch and pulley combo not work better if you hung the pulley so that the cable would pull the plow up? Instead of pulling the pulley/plow back toward the winch, as it is set up now? Just curious, as I've never had to do this.

Thank you!

Live in Florida but for some reason I love watching snow plowing videos. And watching you send it
Thanks dude!!🤘🤘🍺🍺

That machine/plow combo you’ve got is wicked!
It's like a little tandem truck. I want one! SO versatile!
That machine is a beast and plow , love the hole setup tires and all
Thanks!! We really like it!

Awesome!!
The 6x6 returns with a vengance
Like how it sends the snow over nicely I'm a tractor with blower driver for snow removal so ya that thing works gd .
That looks absolutely beautiful the way you have it set up! Beyond professional looking. Looks like the wheels never broke traction. I'm patiently waiting for snow so I can get a feel for my 6x6
Thanks dude. She impressed the heck outta me
Get a boss hydraulic plow someday you will never regret it. I have one on my Honda Rubicon and love it.
Me too Viking awesome 4 years lots abuse no problems
Oh yeah, I saw a Can-Am Defender going a couple feet under water yesterday😆
So cool see snow there i live in finland and here rain water
itä-suomessa tulee lunta ihan tarpeeksi
No länsi suomessa vettä
Vituttaa tää sade
Perkele
Im in norway snow here!
I guess all your neighboors around the lake are already used to listen to engine sounds once the lake is frozen, lol.
What a beast this 6x6 is!
Great video.
Yeah we have a cabin up there about 20 steps away from osta’s house and once the lake is frozen it’s loud with sleds!
Usually christmas break you'll hear sleds out at 3 and 4am ripping lol
Oh wow really, we never go up there at Christmas break, usually January and February we go up there cause the snow is better then USUALLY!
Jesus man that is sweet. Wow nice plow for sure
Nice rig. I put a plow setup on my ranger with a cab and heat.Used it as a back up. You can't beat a front mounted snow blower on a tractor that has down pressure for scraping.
Man used to live in Florida, moved to Canada so he could drive one of these with the plow attached every day. Goals man.
Once you get the heater and tilt installed you can hire out! Put a gravel spreader in the back and your in business

Love that 6x6 defender
I was going comment on the Mrs. being such a trooper while you were in the nice warm cab glad I waited until the end
Mrs. Osta rocks!!!
You've got a nice setup on your can am. I've got a can am commander with a kolpin 6' blade with a high lift mount and power angle. This machine with a small crane in the back would be the ultimate rescue rig. This would have got that turbo s out of the dunes no issue
Definitely!
In love with that machine....
I need that frozen lake in my life!!!
Epic 6x6 snow drifting! Impressive machine!
9:50 The only kind of snow drift I like to see. Gettin' after it.
That's a beast of a machine! Nice setup.
Wonder if you could fab a bracket so you could have hydraulic down pressure or simply put weight on the sub frame extension to cut down on skip/chatter. You'd think with hyd side/side that you could tee off the line for down pressure unless I'm missing something. Very nice setup.
Keep that up and someone will hire you for Northern ice road maintenance
😂😂
That thing is awesome and a beast!!
That machine is fantastic.
First, like the vids Osta, been watching for 4 years.
Thanks dude!!
ostacruiser THANKS FOR REPLYING!!
Second...
The fruits of our labor. Proceeds to flog everywhere but the "ice rink" lol 🖒🍻
Lol
Love the new build. I'm sure it's not finished quite yet. 🤟
Wish I could have that setup! I use an outlander with a 5 ft blade right now.
You can put a full hydraulic v plow on these things. My buddies running a full truck plow on his ranger for the last 3 season and it does amazing.
That's a sick machine
That plow is a beast!
just kept her pinned the whole time had me laughing like crazy!
Like a madman... and I think I would be the same way.
Drifting my xmr the same way last year I hit a frozen sled track and rolled her and i mean rolled her I had too flip it back over on ice alone and u know the 1000 xmr r r not light ..cheers man
Ah the Can Am system. Definitely better than the Warn plow system.
Ive been watching your vids for atleast a couple of months now.. First know i noticed, that i havent clicked that sub button... Ohmygod! But now its done. :-) I love your videoes, great work man. Norway says hi!
Thank you friend!!
Dam those r sum nice tires an wheels..the tracks they make look pretty good also lol..
Looks killer Man good job!

You are having way too much fun.
man that thing is so awesome!! great job.
Things nice it works good & has good power
snowplowing never looked so much fun
Hollllyyyyy smokes! Now THIS is a rig.
I run a 4' blade in my canam outlander and make pretty good money with it.
I run the snatchblock pulley like you. Gets the plow angle great. This sucker wouldnt fit in my 6x12 enclosed trailer though hahahah. Super cool!
You should hit your vehicles with some wool wax spray! 👌🏼 help keep rust away!
That is a beast of a machine for plowing 👍
How thick is the ice up there.
Can't wait for it Down here
16"s already
I can tell by your voice..... that you are a true...... Canadian
🇨🇦🇨🇦🤣🤣🎂🎂
That unit looks sexy as hell with the monster tires on it.
That's quite a rig!
The defender looks like it needs to rip some skeg first thing I do is like the video and then watch it awesome video
What’s up osta !! Let’s see some sled content with the 850!
It's coming! Praying for snow!
ostacruiser same here I’m in Montana and we need some more before I can get mine out I feel your pain brother haha !
Yup no snow out here!
Hook the block to the bumber with the hook down to the plow instead. Will probably function better
That reminds me of my home up in MI! I used to take three wheelers out on the lake!
I watched every video you did on the first 6X6, you built and figured that would be my next machine to replace my polaris magnum 6x6. But know seeing this beast in action, I think i am going to go this route. Just wondering how much firewood you can get in the back before it starts squatting bad, or tire rubbing? Stay tuned we will pack the box full and see how she handles it. Thanks for watching dude
You need a mop and a water sprayer to drag behind so you can make a zamboni out of it
You just plowed the Heck! out of it! Lol!
Haha yup. All around just a good darn plow
nice rig man
What a nice machine!!!!!!
How fun is that. 😀
Do you have a lift on it? What’s the front tire size and the rear tires size. Thanks love the custom build.
Hey osta all the way from Texas
Hey dude!! Wish we had some Texas weather up here right now lol
My dad has a moose plow and has it on his Kawasaki brute force 650 v twin sync 08 and is still using it still
I figured it would be able to plow faster then that, if you saved just another 10 grand you got have got a decent pickup to plow that with. It would be a lot quicker and you can use it on the road as well.
Lol
Lol Ive got a defender but bobcat made it diesel and made the plow/forks/bucket hydraulic
Hey bud can u tell me the suspension and wheel and tire upgrades u did? Thanks.
I want some snow out my way so I can try out my DTV Shredder .... I would put a plow on it ... Oh Yeah!!
My OCD was doing good then the donuts! Lol
Haha then I wreck it all haha
Awesome unit....I have two questions. Where did you get the tires.....make and rim models....look really good. Also, I notice you have the snorkel, but the system would not let me add that option with the premium cab?
Would it not bee better to spool the winch rope the other way (over the top) so you don't have like 140° over the fairlead?
That is a Bad AsS ! Machine !! I Love that Can Am 6x6 ! ....I ToO ! Wanna See Hit The SkeG !
He may have had the Alpine flex plow, its plastic but still works well. This is all steel construction
So, would the winch and pulley combo not work better if you hung the pulley so that the cable would pull the plow up? Instead of pulling the pulley/plow back toward the winch, as it is set up now?
Just curious, as I've never had to do this.
Awesome rig , I'm ordering one can you tell me where do you get your tires, lift, what size and lift etc . Thank you
the only thing having the winch down low is good for is if you like your winch motor filling up with water
Awesome !!
Another great video...what's better this plow or the alpine
I wish I had a 7ft Alpine flex to test on this machine. Both are great plows. The Super Duty is built much heavier for sure
So is that not a limited model with the sealed cab? Just noticed you had a lot of snow dust in the footwells?
I home you will put track to this vehicule. I want to see this beast on deep powder
You guys get so much snow. What set of winters you’ve got on your vehicles?
Nice! Try a boss V plow
perfect setup.
Get Osta I got a question for you. If you could only pick one of the side by sides you got which one would you pick?
I want one to go in the woods nice
Always cool stuff, do you okie snow with that at other peoples cabins and houses up there too?
Yes, sometimes
Ok cause we go to a cabin right close to your house and I’ve seen you lots before!
Have you ever used your sherp top low snow cause sometimes it looks like sherp tracks there
To plow snow*. I hate auto correct
I wish i had something like this
Sorry if i missed it in the video but is this a 72" blade?
Love ur videos
Great video
Thank you!
I'm going to go plow the frozen lake
Because I can...lol
Damn how wide a driveway do they have lol
Can u get tracks for the 6x6
Not this year. But I bet they have tracks available for next year
put the boss v-plow on it. I have one on my outlander and that thing works great. trust me its much better then that thing
