That Ranger is in need of good mud tires. My (rural) Fire Department uses a 6x6 with mud tires, thing will drive through mud holes and shallow water like nothing and i've never seen it get stuck. And if it ever did, it could just winch itself out.
nice little set up with the grapple on the 307. My friend has his own scrap yard and we just picked up a Deeer 110 with an old rotobec log grapple. Makes pickin cars off of trailers easy.
Try an 8x8 or even 6x6 ARGO with tracks and you don't need the bridge etc.... We tow trailers with 30 bags of sand + trailer weight in swampy terrain in Costa Rica. NO other 4x4 or even bigger tracked vehicles could work there. They would get stuck. The ARGO is amazing at this. Just load it ebough for it to keep traction (and keep it from floating).
I'm not a logger, I've never operated a track hoe and I don't have an ATV. To me it seemed y'all have a pretty good system worked out, using smaller equipment to stop from sinking deep in the muck getting impossibly stuck. Some tell u to use a 4x4 truck, but it seems with the weight of doing it would make huge ruts, getting everything else stuck too. That Polaris surprised the heck out of me. Having never used one it was impressive towing that big trailer, fully loaded through soupy mud. I'd have said not in a million years just by looking at it. I'm completely wrong.
If you've got to take the Cat to do the job then you may as well use it to lift the ramps as well even if they are man handleable. I think I'd have taken a greener path than ploughing up the track still more though. Tires on the Polaris weren't up to much though.
as you see in wet conditions positiv is that it is small and fast max payload is 2 tons we need a whellloader or excavator to load and unload if you want then see my other vids... take care
A tractor would be better than a jeep a two wheel drive tractor something small like a massey ferguson 240 or john deere 4230 plenty of power to pull heavy loads. Its all about having the correct equipment to work with you cant do any thing if you dont have to right tools/equipment. the transmision on the polaris ranger is not made to handle heavy loads you wil burn it up in 7 days .
stupid a lifted 4x4 with mud tires can go through that easier & tow a bigger trailer. Than that Polaris needs some better tires than are on it plus the guy driving it doesn't know about airing down his tires & not to rev the engine so much so it can get better traction. Plus the load on the trailer is to heavy for the Polaris.
Yeah man he's absolutely stupid...... You act like you do this every day paid through contracts. But, you're one of those "I think I know it all" Gumbas..
way too much weight for the polaris just get a cheap jeep 4x4 with a some all terrain radials. Mud tires are overrated if you ask me the big ass lugs just act like shovels if you breake traction they start digging you deeper and deeper just need some all terain radials.
VG
That operator really knows what he is doing! Props
thx

Clever driver of the digger and his colleague in the little vehicle, very impressive.
Great video.. Really enjoyed it.. I say some chain on them tires make a difference! Looks fun!
It's been 7 year's , did you ever make it up the hill .
Legend has it that they are still trying to this day to make it up the hill.

I 4 days I will be at a 24h offroad race. there are small polaris too. they are very good in the mud.
guud video mate.
nice set of mudlights would work great,,,,great video
thanks
take care
muddy track, should put the tracks you can put over wheels on the rear and that might help. but nice video.
Ha, all that time and effort put into preventing sediment stir up in the brook and you guys kick the snot out of the trail.
@johndeere9413 or a set of 26 inch kenda executioners, not too big so theres not much torque loss
You should check out a logging trailer with powered axels. might be useful in conditions like that....
@efidriver
you need more aggressive tires in that soup...like atp mud-lites or swamp foxes or something.
He's still out there, trying to get that heavy load back home...
+shawnatshawn
no. i have managed it to come home in 4 years (-:
and i have allready new tires... lol
Thx- i know and i d like to put some chains, but there is not place enough for them ....
next tires will be better
Take care
Thank you !

+David Quirk
yes, old tires, wet land, a bit too much load on the trailer and no load on the polaris ...
try to add some chains to the weels, that will make it sooo much easier :P dont know if its called chains or whatever but you get the point
dang that's some MAD skill brotha
Lord is with everyone - with you too (-:
also look for some tracks for the rear wheels on that ranger.
¡Perfecto!, es como un "Micro-camión.
Once the tires clog up its like traction on ice with bald tires.
cool video thanks for sharing. you know how to drive man for sure!
Are the metal girders/tire paths that heavy that they couldn't just use their hands to lay them in a couple minutes instead of using a excavator
needs tires. thats all
@FARMJUNGE
gibt es nur fürs 6x6 quad...
vielleicht demnächst schneeketten
a good investment would be tracks for the ranger
your pretty good at using that 307c. do you have a career in heavy machinery or something?
it's nice to cut those logs after mudding them like that, 10 chains/log...
yepp- so called mud-firewood
Upgraded tires would help of course
Cool video.
Lol.. Im still watching this video a year later.. and my 6x6 still has stock tires
3 less logs-- 1 extra trip-- less wear on the machine.
Thx
take care
great video
Sometimes it was in high and then in low
with the winch in very low LOL
Take care
500 or 700? I have the 99 500 6x6 but I don't know when they changed to the 700 in the 6x6.
This things no joke...I want one lol
That 6x6 should be able To cross that with out the bridge
What is the prices like ??? Can we get them in U.K ???

Thanks

great video but i think you just could drive through the river without any problems
Yes- extra strong for demolition - so will last longer - hopefully lol
were u guys logging using the Polaris? how can you get enough volume to get ahead?
as you see in wet conditions
positiv is that it is small and fast
max payload is 2 tons
we need a whellloader or excavator to load and unload
if you want then see my other vids...

Pavol Andrejco
in forest fast enough...

In the start, i thougt it was a Carepackage. Then he placed it in the water...
Say goodbye to that polaris engine
send me some lol, then
i ll try
mud tires aren t good on street, so i compromise
and i still have some winches (-:
take care

@FARMJUNGE
@FARMJUNGE
Da ist nicht viel Platz zwischen 2. Achse und dem Tank...
Well....there goes the road!
oh- was one there ? (-: lol
skilled driver :P
tyres is everything..
@efidriver
Wir trainieren schon mal für den Wettkampf (-:
Danke (-:
kennen wir uns ?
Muddy logs - delivered.
Just because it has 6 wheels doesnt mean anything it needs tracks
That day alone took 5 years off the lifespan of this vehicle LOL JK
Feller whos driving the side by side needs a different approach rather than tearing it up
what are you doing with the wood?
just need mud tires and she would be good to go
fuk mud tires, get some fucking tracks on that baby. Less spin and grips better.

Scott MacDonald Did you know that my milkshakes bring all of the boys to the yard?
Jack White Agreeed, my quad with stock tires would pull that like its nothing lol
Jack White
Come on who ever's driving the Ranger needs to put it in Low!!!
im gonna put some sixxer wheels and some good rubber on mine soon. They are kinda useless stock.
it can do this a few times, sure! but sooner or later the engine or the transmission will surrender!
Spintires?
polaris needs tracks not tires by the looks of it
gratuliere zum neuen bagger ;-)
maybe not, with a heavy load it may sink
u shoud buy tracks
Theres no 2 ton in that trailer.....bit more tongue weigh might help.
This guy is just holdong throttle down....
way too much weight for the polaris just get a cheap jeep 4x4 with a some all terrain radials. Mud tires are overrated if you ask me the big ass lugs just act like shovels if you breake traction they start digging you deeper and deeper just need some all terain radials.
Note to self, buy better tires lol
thats right (-:
Take care and thx for comment
wow 7 yrs.
You can count uh?
try a john deere or low range
Eni motorlar bunlar
that excavator coulda just grabbed those logs by it self and brought the logs across , that was just a waste of time.
a lot of work for some wood
yes, but a good video (-:
Tracks ppl!
yepp- you know it better....
someone doesn't know what low end torque is..
Weiß jemand, was so ein Teil kostet?
Ja ich (-:
