Both cars are beautiful and perform incredibly well, but the Audi is the better looking of the two and you can get a comparable spec to the Porsche for a lot less $. I was a huge fan of the Taycan when it was first unveiled and knew it would be my next car but after seeing the Audi design unveiled it moved the Taycan down the list, especially given the performance to price delta. It was a no brainer which to choose and i’m a Porsche guy! You can’t go wrong either way though.
Actually no because the Porsche despite the badge is producing so many more cars than Audi. Porsche since launch has already produced over 100k Tycans where as Audi only produced 15k. Also the base model Tycan won’t hold its value as much as the Etron GT.
Both amazing tech spurred on because of you know who. I am not one to follow fads but as much as I don’t like SUV’s and prefer the classic sedan, SUVs are just better for my back as I age.....👴🏻
Martyn, have you made it down to a local Porsche dealership for a Taycan test drive yet? After this excellent review. I love the Taycan 4S, Porsche speaks my design language. ;-)

If you want a sports car feeling EV, you have to go taycan or etron gt... The S (although faster in a straight line in plaid spec) feels more like the e tron suv.

I bought the RS Etron GT. I LOOOOVED the Mission E concept. But the Taycan ended up as a poor conversion. The etron looks identical to the great looking concept. Mission E. Most gorgeous. RS Etron GT. Next best looking Taycan. 3rd of the 3 This is all just opinion BTW. I would not fault anyone for preferring the Taycan. No losing here. Honestly.
Agreed; all are great. I took the Sport Turismo which I think is the ultimate ev sport wagon, and I love it. But each to their own. The Etron is certainly a beautiful car.
🤔 For me the best GT EV has to be the EQS AMG and sports would be the Gran T Taycan ... Great video as always 👍👍

Taycan is better, Audi more value. I ordered a RS E-Tron GT.
Taycan Turbo was $30k more for a comparable spec so I went for what I could afford
