Glad to see someone else messing with one of these. I have a ‘19 that’s unitronic stage 2. Been researching left and right for everything and anything to help get this 1.4 a little spunkier.
@@clintellis648 stage 2 is night and day difference. I’ve had stage 1 when I was planning on not doing much. Then decided to go stage 1+. Then at that point I said f it and got everything I needed for stage 2. So far I have unitronic intake, 034 motorsports red top coils and upgraded plugs, cts turbo 3” downpipe, 2.5” borla cat-back, this same GFB VTA BOV that’s in this video…then a handful of cosmetic upgrades. You can feel a difference with all 3 tunes. But stage 2 is hella torquey. But, if you have a manual trans, be ready to have your clutch start slipping almost immediately. I got a couple vids on my page with how the exhaust and such sounds
Glad to finally see a video of a mk7 I got the gfb one for my 2019 and wasn’t sure about the mounting for the ex’s charge pipe so I’m glad it confirms it does fit not the best Firment but a few clamps make it happen so definitely appreciate the video 🤘🏼
That’s awesome! I’m hope the video helped you with any of your questions or concerns. I had trouble finding any information for my own install, so thought I’d make a video to shed some light on the subject.
perfect video im starting my build soon 2020 r line and this video just gives me that urge i need , sounds good , bov is nice im like you tho i want to hear the flutter and my stock jetta the flutter is nice only noticeable parked or with the hood open
when adding the turbo outlet hose you have on there (the orange pipe) did you notice a big or at least slight difference in performance when it was installed compared to the older one
I noticed mine flexing too much as you can see in this video when he’s reattaching it. I saw it was leaking air because of some oil on the outside of the coupling. Put the OEM one back on and felt less laggy too. OEM doesn’t flex
Hey man, love the video really tempted to install this, out of curiosity did the different size screws make much difference to the “whoosh” sound? And if so which one did you end up using?
Just put mine in, I'm so excited to drive around now 😅 removing the charge pipe was a pain in the ass but I got it! Thanks again for the video walk through 🥰
I have the same upgrades as you and the EPC light comes on intermittently. Any suggestions? I'm using the TDI tuning harness right now with the CAI and turbo pipe like yours and VTA bov. No exhaust or downpipe yet
I am thinking about putting one on my car but after some reading online due to the small turbo on these motors the BOV losses boost allegedly. How do you feel about this in your experience driving the past few months?
I tried it with the longer screw. It does give the ‘flutter’ but it’s very faint. The shortest screw gives the most aggressive ‘pshh’ sound that all of us turbo lovers crave. I tried getting a video of it but unfortunately my exhaust is so loud it’s overbearing. I do have a couple videos up of how everything sounds paired up.

How do you like the stage 2 on it? How would you rate the changes over stock? Thanks!

This definitely make me want to get one for my jetta u have any updates on the different bolts
Not yet, I ended up liking the original bolt after a couple of weeks. I’ll have to make another video on each bolt.
Where u buy the blow off valve?
Curious how it sounds with a longer screw in there, did you ever try it?

In this Basketball Game in the Background where some black guys involved
Where did you get all the red hoses?
It’s red loom hosing. I picked it up at O’Rielly for $7 a package. I bought a couple sizes to fit smaller and larger hosing.
Not the pool noodles bro
How do you like that charge pipe?
Would you like me to make a tutorial on that?
@@VanityWraith-Jettajourney yeah forsure 🤘🏼curious if it was worth it or not compared to stock charge pipe but yeah if you want 😎
Where do you get your charge pipe?
