Holy hell an ARMS character is now going to be in Smash. Who is it? How would they play? How zany would they be? Schmidt and I go in-depth with that, alongside stuff like the Spirit battles, music choices, alternate costumes, and all that for THREE different fighters! Take a wild guess on who they are.

But yeah, neat stray from the regular formula. If I had to pick from these three, I would probably pick Max Brass, as he's the in-canon poster boy for the sport. It'd be cool to use the Spring Man alt to represent the first ARMS fighter to take up the name. In all, cool video, looking forward to the next one 👈😎👈

YOO THIS CONCEPT IS WAY BETTER THAN WHAT WE GOT! As someone who finds Min Min’s moveset to be INCREDIBLY boring and tedious, I really wish we got this concept moveset instead. Also I felt like Spring Man, Helix, or Max Brass would have been better picks than Min Min, but I’m fine she got in.

In my opinion, I would LOVE to see Dr. Coyle in smash I feel that most people that have played the game know the amount of potential and absolute power Dr. Coyle would have in smash bros with her extra arm, invisibility, and levitation and with her inclusion she would be the very first female villain in smash bros besides Wendy-O-Koopa I guess, not to mention she's extremely important in the story and lore of Arms
Why not just give Arms the Hero treatment: Spring Man, Ribbon Girl, Ninjara, and Minmin!!
Personally I’m voting on Master Mummy or Max Brass being added. There has yet to be a heavy weight fighter added and I think one is much needed by now.

I know many people didn't really want a arms rep. But i love arms and am happy that we got a rep. My choice of character would be Dr. Coyle as we need more villains, we need more females, and we don't have any female villains (not counting Wendy) other than that the mad scientist archetype would be cool and she could have a really unique move set with invisibility, projectiles and a Peach float.
We thought that coyle was a cool pick too, but I think what really detracted her from the video was how late into the game’s life she was properly introduced
That is a good point but my retort to that is how involved in the arms story and lore she is. But really keep up the good work, have a nice day and don't falter. You make great content i love the amount of effort you put into each one.

Ideally, the ARMS character's jab attacks, forward tilts, and neutral air would be stretching each of his/her arms to punch, just like how Mega Man shoots his lemons for his jabs, forward tilt, and neutral air, because that's how the mechanics of their game of origin worked.
originally we wanted to try and implement it, but we wanted to put all their arms to use, and that's what we did with the Neutral and Side special. Also with the specials you can also use that in the air, so that helps too haha
@@toxiquid Well you can still use their own arms sets for their neutral and side specials. They would just use one of the more generic arm sets for their jab, tilt, and neutral air.
Raphael Marquez that’d be a lot of coding and workarounds that the smash team would have to deal with- it COULD work, but I think that restricting their character specific arms to their specials makes more sense to Schmidt and I

@@toxiquid Noice. He is also one of my most wanted characters. Also I have an Idea for what bandana dee's down special could be instead of a counter. So do you know those ability combinations in kirby star allies, maybe bandana dee could be able to switch between four elemental spears from kirby star allies. That being bluster spear, blizzard spear, splash spear, and sizzle spear. Each spear could change the effects of a few moves. For example, bluster spear could make his moves deal more damage and but weaken his kill power.

@@toxiquid I always invisioned 3 sets of arms, you choose your load out for which arms you use every time you lose a stock, punches are single punches or one two punches, but the property varies depending on the arm equipped. Boxing glove punches hurts, mega ton heavy has prioritiey and armor, chacrim and dragon are projectiles ext. Unique take: A button Attacks with one arm. B button Attacks with other arm unlikely though. Maybe A button for standard arms like gloves or slapamander, b button for specialty gloves like chakram, Dragon, megaton, etc.
Rush super is final smash.
It seems you went the inkling rout where each move is a different weapon. Let's see which route smash goes with.
S 00 that’s an interesting route to take, but it might get stale to use the same load out each time, and it could lead to frustration if one accidentally chooses the wrong arm setup on halo. By relegating it to a regular special move, it removes that frustration and can lead to more interesting strategies and combos.
The unique take that you suggested was actually something that Schmidt and I threw around while drafting this out, but it sounded complicated and didn’t sound fun to play, so we changed it to how it is in the video
