Lol. Yeah this one was fun. I noticed the count in at the beginning sounded really funny going backwards when I was recording the backwards guitar and immediately decided that it needed to go in there somewhere.
I think it was in the song Rain that George Harrison came up with the solo and had to learn to play it backwards to get the effect when they reversed it. Something to that effect.
Great video as always! I use a 424 mkiii and I’ve found the cheapest monitors you can use are simply any boombox or portable radio with a stereo input. Any RCA cable you’ll need are dirt cheap on Amazon. I’ve used the Sangean WFR-20, the Sony ZS-RS60BT or the ZS-SN10. Also, I’m going to try my old Philips office stereo the MCM530/37 which has an RCA input and puts out 75 watts. I use the same headphones you use, but I prefer using them to record, not during playback. Anyway, new song is great and looking forward to more. All the best!
Ohhhh that’s a great idea! I’ve just never picked up monitors because I’m afraid of annoying my family by playing stuff over and over, but having something around would be nice.
Hey Jason long time no talk or see. I've been watching your videos off and on through the last couple years. You always do good work Buddy. Off the Record is Mike ever coming back to his Channel or can't you say. I got the same four track I'll be firing it up soon with everything else from a 20-year hiatus. Changes in life you know. I'll keep more in touch 😮
@@jasonelambeth If that works for you I'd love to do that, but I was thinking maybe I could put some drums on your tracks..... I am no pro but I can play a little? Or I get you might want to keep it all your own vibe.... either way good to hear what you're doing
@@placidcasual9872 I really , really appreciate the offer. This type of thing is to generally make a demo and get an idea down. I have a friend that plays drums on final recordings. I kind of like doing my crappy drum parts or a drum machine just to see how much she elevates the songs.
Recording, it's incredible how many times ya stuff up simple things sometimes. Not you...I mean you might, but just in general you know. Simple stuff you think you've got locked in...but when you go to record you realize you have to play it just so.
Yeah, it’s a mystery. Sometimes you can knock it out real quick and it’s magic. Sometimes it takes a lot of work to get the right take or sound. It’s a lot of fun though!
1 mic 2 mics 3 mics 4
mike with the mics has the sound we adore
Mike with the mics forever! ♾️
I always enjoy hearing how you end these tunes. It's always a surprise!

Love the backwards guitars!
Thanks man! It’s definitely a favorite go to move for me with the four track! I like it so much more than any reverse setting on any of my pedals.

@@garyspong That sounds right! Didn't they also record that one super fast and then slow it down for the playback? Crazy cool ideas back then!

It’s getting long! I’m just too lazy or busy to trim it. 😂
Thanks dude!
