The more I see of them the better it gets. I just discovered them a few days ago and now I feel like I've been living under a rock for the last 15 years. I can't believe with all the groups Rachael has been with, all with outstanding performances and millions of hits that she still doesn't seem to be a household name.
Fragmentation of the music market. Discovered them on YT in 2018. First impression was, this is a quirky band but that singer has great control in her lower range. Second impression was, that singer has self-knowledge, a grown-up who's been doing this a while. Third impression was, this band is incredible.
Kris Young. I see now my original assessment that they weren't a household name might be more due to my lack of knowledge and research than a real fact. As I see from searching UA-cam more extensively they have many fans. It's just that I've only recently taken to looking for music videos on UA-cam and I've stopped playing the local fm stations where I would most likely hear them. So I retract my comments and only hope when things settle down they'll be able to tour again and I'll get a chance to see them live.
Loved the way this group makes me feel. Glad when they came to Nelsonville. In 03', a favorite moment was riding the bicycle path from Athens, Ohio to Nelsonville, Ohio. Beautiful land joining in with the spirit of music here. Because I'm close to this venue, it was good to hear how universal the group was and remains in explaining how they write and feel music. Rachael is another Rita Hayworth, with all due respect to my favorite Bass Clef, upright bassist, Bridget.an Irish female name derived from the Gaelic noun brígh, meaning "power, strength, vigor, virtue".. The 'bass' delivers the rhythm of their strong voices in a delightful way. Thank you kindly, WOUB/PBS.
With any luck - LSD represent the real future of music - for me anyway. How good are they. Virtually flawless live performances. And not that I'm looking for one, but I've yet to watch a clip of the band that I don't like...uh...love.
I've been following these guys for several years now. All four of them are - obviously - super talented. The fact that they departed from their jazz training to embark on something really different is a real testament to their vision for what might be. I'm old enough to be their father so I'll say this... their own parents must be hugely proud of each one of them. Who the heck wouldn't be? I also think it tremendously generous that they put so much of their music out there on UA-cam for all of us to enjoy. Am I a fan of LSD? You damn well better believe it so!
Yes. This band is way out of the ordinary. Everything they do is really good and most of it is out of compair. Wish they will continue. Not much else is in their league of musicality. Anders Ljunggren, Sweden
I really like this performance of everything of theirs that I've watched. The sound is clean, no production... and they kill it. This is a band where their sound can get covered up by too much production in the studio. That 'raw' element is definitely part of the band's personality. Here they'e shining out pretty strong. NOTE: Bass is WAY too low in the mix!
Yep, me, too. And one reason is the in-band musical culture: collaborative, supportive yet expecting a very high standard of performance and musicianship. (Or at least, so it would appear from the outside.)
Crazy artists always figuring out what they're best at and then going out there and doing it. And then doing it amazingly well. BAAAHHH!! Curse the crazy artists bringing awesomeness!!!
Just discovered this wonderful band - so impressive, especially the vocals. As a sidenote, I like the way the bass player has some red tape on the fingerboard at the octave. Makes me feel better about doing the same...
I'm just trying to understand; are you asking what the word is (which is Lola). Or you hinting that you think she's not saying it correctly? I'm just curious. I'm not being critical of you.
Late to the party on this clip. Strange ambiance, with bored kids and falling rain, but the folks are enjoying it. What sane human wouldn't? My only gripe here, and this applies to all who use it, is that godawful guitar tone. Piezos are terrible - it takes all the good stuff out of any acoustic guitar's sound. Mic it or just use a real electric! But good gravy... what Rachael's doing on the outro to Lola! Chills!
Are we ever going to get over speaking as if we are 17-year-old Valley Girls with: "Do you guys have LIKE a favorite moment...?" If you want to ask them if they have a favorite moment, just ASK THEM THAT.... DIRECTLY! Don't ask as if you are equivocating or apologizing for the question. This whole "LIKE" thing is getting painfully old and tedious. But then the bass player is doing it too with: "We all just LIKE cruised out to the music store..." Well did you actually cruise out to the music store or just do something SIMILAR to that?? You don't know? You're not sure? You're afraid to commit to the story?? I-yiyi...
THANK YOU !!! drives me INSANE. it is EVERYWHERE.the worst is how it has replaced the word "Said"...and she was like "what?" ..and I was like "what are you doing?" .. and she was like " nothing" UUHHGG!!!!!!!
I think she's still going to make it and so is the band. I wouldn't say 'could have'. They've been touring extensively to larger and larger venues. Right now the virus has everything shut down but when it's over they should be able to pick right back up.
Rachel Price’s voice is simply one of the best out there!

Al Anon Same here. I mean, this stuff is just incredible. How come I didn’t know about it before?

Robert Hill Same here phenomenal talent makes phenomenal band.
@@roberthill6150 just listen to your ears. They will tell you what you've heard. It then goes to brain, then heart. Then possibly the pelvis!

Awesome. Beautiful, natural, organic music. Thnx for the upload.
Look at the babies sitting on the steps raptly absorbing high quality music...There IS hope for the human race after all!
Bridget's bass solo in Call Off Your Dogs is full of funk
Chuck Kaslow finally, a video where you can hear her bass a little bit more. They still need to mike her bass.

They are the past of music, with their Jazz/Rock/Folk/Acoustic/Blues/Pop, moving boldly into a bright future!

Damn, her voice is so dope it makes me jealous.
One of my favorite bands of all time. All the members are mesmerizing. 🖖🏽
Wow. When Rachel comes in at 4:34 her power hits physically, spiritually and all the feels. Love it.
Bass player is just off the charts bonkers . . .
I love her voice and beautiful hair. Makes her soulful. She's beautiful. I'm a fan now just ran across this. Y'all rock
Very good band...but Bridged you are the most badass basschick ever! Love your playing

Rachael... you and your group never fail to deliver. Your voice... makes me fall in 😍 love over and over.
...AND her dance moves are getting better!
Not to mention the big hair, Love it all.
LSD and Tedeshi/Trucks are my two favorites!
Same!
Still true for me too!
Holly crap, me too. Saw TTB twice and saw LSD concerts twice in June '19. The two greatest live bands I have ever seen. Love my LSD 🎺🎹🥁 🎻🎭

You are right sir. They are great!
I'm smitten with this singer, so good
Aaaaah. I truly can’t get enough of this band. ♥️
back-vocals superclass!
They are such an awesome group!
Incredible vocals. Always. I bet the boys in Kings X dig this vocal perfection
Awesome LSD
Very special group of artists. Great hamonies by all four. Some wonderful music Lake Street Dive makes it fun to listen music !!💗💕😎
Amazing musicians, and everything I've heard from them is so full of joy!
She is so beautiful to me!
As always-very very nice! Always enjoy to watch You...especially like Bridgets bass playing and the interesting stuff Mr. Calabrese does ;)
what an awesome version of lola.
Love these guys unique sound
Just extraordinary.
Great music and fun to watch, too. Fantastic!

Great performance (do they ever have a bad one?) First time I'd heard them cover Lola that was awesome..
Sounds great!!!
Have not heard one bad from them yet....that is saying something.
Love you guys
That bass part starting around 11:00 is super cool and it's ridiculous that she's playing it on an upright!! This band is great
Awesome band!
Wish my band had song writers this good.
so become a good songwriter. problem solved lulz
Is there anything about this not to love?
Great voice
Rachael's singing and speaking voices are so different.
Yeah its odd you can hear someone with a heavy accent then sing very differently odd an kinda cool
THE BEST...
AMAZING BAND!!!
This band plays songs from the drummer? Usually the last sentence of a drummer in a band is: "Hey there, I have a song that we should play."
Mighty fine
Pretty hot damn great!!!!!
You can play at MY HOUSE anytime.
QuaLITY KILSS QUANTITY!!! aMAZINSOUND GUYS!!
Hell yes
WoW
So that is why Bridget has the same haircut as Paul!
Be Awesum.
How about a nurse station tour ?
She is a 'clean' version of Amy Winehouse... amazing
She brings the sexy back to Jazz, in such a nice clean simple way!
She is far more than that dead tramp
@@threalismaradona9899 She had a troubled life like many great artists... what a classless thing to say
what voice...
front porch rockers gladden the disc(h)ordant heart
I'm sorry, but a pandeiro does not do Mike's part justice in these videos. Somebody get him a little 3-piece travel kit or something.
I defy anyone to find a cover that they don't absolutely NAIL.
Their version of Bohemian Rhapsody may, I say might, be the reason for the movie of the same name being made.
is the album named after Bridget's style of hair?
I didnt even like this album why are they so good that I enjoyed this what is punctuation
goateeguy11221122 Yeah, I didn't think I liked them, but they are so great live!
YES, THE 1ST INITIALS DO NAME "LSD"....IT DOES !!!!
Can't touch this
Rachel Price looks like my old girl-friend from the 90s
Lucky you
Why is the crowd so small
I can take it
27 poor souls went to the WRONG DIVE. :(
Duck looks pissed off just a second after the introduction...you mad bro?
I think to be fair to your drummer next time you do a stripped back performance like this it should be with guitalele and Ubass. 😂
This is such a great show... but please quit showing the guys.
Tats? N-o-o-o!
I think Rachel may have something there just above her ankle...
Rachael
Loluh????

@@alanon6160 She is a great singer, no doubt about that. To my Dutch ears her Lola sounds like Loluh. Compare it to Ray Davies' version.
@@janpcs That's mid-American pronunciation - a lot of unaccented vowels become schwa.

Clearly she was not chosen for her vocals.
??? Superb vocalist
If they stay away from alcohol and drugs they'll go far. Let's hope!
You Go Down Smooth was written about the guitarist's/trumpist's love for gin and tonic.
Let's take up a collection and buy the percussionist a bongo, or castanets, or a triangle, or a real drum. Or just put the tambourine down.

Passive Voice kills both speaking and writing. I cringe as well. Just say, "Tell us about a favorite moment on the tour." Done. Sigh.
: They should cover "Valley Girl" by Frank Zappa with Rachael doing the Moon Unit Zappa vocal. "Like, ohmygod, I am so suuure!"
ok boomer
band are great and all but kind of oddball, if she were a solo artist she could have made it
I mean, she has been performing outside of LSD since she was little...
I think she's still going to make it and so is the band. I wouldn't say 'could have'. They've been touring extensively to larger and larger venues. Right now the virus has everything shut down but when it's over they should be able to pick right back up.
