Wildlife Photography | Searching for Short Eared Owls | Photographing Northern Harriers Nikon Z9

Short Eared Owls are a species that I have never seen nor photographed before. When one was spotted near me, I knew I had to head out and see if I could locate this bird in the beautiful grassland habitat. I set myself up and waited to see if it would show up however, unfortunately the bird did not show up when I was out. I did get a chance to see and photograph two if not three Northern Harriers that were hunting over the field which made the outing more than worth it! I was really happy to be out and enjoy the amazing sunset that happened over the field. Hopefully I will get a chance to see this owl later on in the next few months while they are down in my area.
