Yours feels more real, authentic and grounded so it´s easier and better to enjoy. I like the others too but they get too fancy sometimes and the way they are edited and presented take away that kind of humble realness. KEEP THE GREAT WORK. On that vensaur he probably saw the $90 price tag on the shadowless version, which usually are more valuable. You see the box the Pokemon is in? You see the drop shadow? There are versions without the drop shadow that are worth a lot more. This is why I no longer use that app on your phone that scans cards to give you the value. Its wrong a lot of times, it cannot detect between shadow and shadowless, it like guesses.

I was scrolling past graded cards and other cards that were not related to the one he had. I spent 30 plus minutes with him going through each card and looking items up together. You only saw a small fraction of the footage. A lot of the cards were around the prices he had written down or off $5-$10 differences. There was only a couple that I literally still have the cards sitting on my desk because I don’t deal with a lot of Pokemon cards. He had a list of what he valued the cards at. yall keep going on about how scummy it is to pay these low prices and rip the sellere off, but at the end of the day: pricing is not the buyers responsibility, it's the one of the seller, any deal is fair game when the seller has probably had days or even weeks of time to prepare for the sale and to look up prices and price things propperly. that is the buyers responsibility, the moment the sale starts the seller has to know what he wants to have, and what they are willing to go down to. so taking these prices is more then fair game

    18 top loaded and a binder for 160? Lmao, i mean, cant knock the hustle, but dont play koi, EVERY picker/resellers eyes light up when they see pokemon/video games/etc... Just 3 of those top loaded cards got you your money back(and then some depending on the condition and if any were worth grading, which impossible to tell of quick phone video).

      I know sports cards but know very little about Pokemon cards. I wasn’t being coy. They weren’t worth grading.

    I hate it when people like you guys go around and buy all of the Pokémon cards from garage sales! I've been collecting for a year now and all of the garage sales have said they have already sold them! its really annoying as a collector. I would buy around like 2 cards and save the rest for other people because i know I'm not the only one in the hobby!

    • @pickingandpunching
      @pickingandpunching  5 місяців тому

      I do fully understand that. I’m a collector as well. I start reselling because my collection was becoming expensive. I would buy in bulk, keep the pieces that I needed. The rest I would sell off to cover my collection. It eventually turn into a business for me.

      lol. I was actually being serious about pokemon cards. I know vintage can be worth good money but it’s not something that I normally buy. Sports cards on the other hand is a different thing.

    You really ripped that kid off with the Pokemon cards. I know you're not at a trade show but really paying below 50% market value is downright immoral but I guess thats just my opinion.

    absolutely ripped pokémon guy off bro asked for $400 and u paid $160 because they were “a little played with” but u got them graded?

    • @pickingandpunching
      @pickingandpunching  2 місяці тому

      I resell just like any Pokemon card shop. A card shop can’t pay $400 for items that they will resell for $400. They would make no money and go out of business. I didn’t get them graded. I said that I have never graded Pokémon cards so I thought about sending a couple in to see how they would grade since they are in played with condition. It would give me a better idea on how they grade Pokémon cards. I decided to not send them in.

    • @pickingandpunching
      @pickingandpunching  Місяць тому

      We sat there and looked up prices together. Yes, I paid him less money than what they are worth. I’m buying them to resell for our business. I can’t buy something for $400 to resell for $400. There would be no profit in it. It’s the same thing if you go to your local card shop and sell them cards. They aren’t going to give you the full value of what they are worth. They will give you a percentage of their value.
