You wrong Hassan 2 sent the Algerian artists to design this tiles Some of them well come and say this who knows cos they always saying everything from Morocco is for them hhhhhh
Morocco Pavilion has always been my favorite and one of the most immersive Pavilions in the World Showcase. The architecture, details and colors are just so amazing. And for the more “adventurous” eater, the food is really delicious. Fun Facts: the Morocco Pavilion is only Pavilion that was funded by another government. The King, Hassan II, sent a team over to guarantee that his culture was correct. Also, Marrakesh is still run by the team set up by the King and is still sponsored by the government. Lastly, Morocco is the only Pavilion that doesn’t light up during Illuminations- Morocco has a high Muslim population, and the main tower of the building in Morocco’s pavilion is a replica of a prayer tower. Lighting the prayer tower at night would be against Muslim beliefs.
The Morocco Pavilion is the most underrated thing at Disney World, imo. It's beautiful, has and lovely souvenir items, and the food is *fantastic*! (PS, there is a wonderful bellydancer that performs at Restaurant Marrakesh every evening!)
One of the best things about the Morocco pavilion is that it's the only pavilion in Epcot that's sponsored by the country's government. Morocco has sponsored the pavilion since its inception in 1984, and sent artisans and architects to construct the pavilion. So there is no exaggeration in saying that the buildings and artwork are authentic.
I am Moroccan, born and raised in the imperial city of Marrakesh, which this pavilion is made to look like. I am also a history tour guide and this can't be more accurate. I am amazed by how colors and designs are identical to those here.
Morocco has always been my favorite pavilion. I love to sit in the Fez House on a hot day and listen to the fountain. Marrakesh is still one of my favorite dates I've ever had with my husband. It's got so many hidden and tucked away spots that it's truly an immersive experience.
I had no idea that room was there with all the costumes and the horse, so many times just passed it by never opened the door! I love the Morocco Pavilion...my husband went to Morocco years ago and he could not believe how much the pavilion looked so much like the real place.
This my FAVORITE pavilion. I've been in love with it since I was a kid. Had the pleasure of actually going to Morocco 5 years ago, and had a Disney trip just a few weeks later, and it really made me appreciate how perfectly on point it all is. It felt like I was back in Marrakech. I love talking to the cast members from there; I find they really love and cherish their country and love to talk about it!
Morocco is my favorite area at Epcot. It was so sweet, one time I was in there enjoying the area and a Moroccan cast member brought out a rug and set it in the eastern corner for a Muslim family to pray in.
Morocco is one of my favorite spots in the showcase. Great memories of my niece dancing with the belly dancer at lunch. Such a gorgeous and joyous place.
We've always adored the Morocco pavilion and are blown away by the beauty of the architecture and artwork. That "hidden" little room with the fountain is one of our favorite spots in the entire park.
I'm not kidding when I found that amazing plaza with the fountain on my first visit that I legit didn't know If I was still in Florida anymore. It might sound weird, but those corridors in the Pavilion are my favorite part of Epcot, it's so transportive. The Morocco pavilion is one of my personal favorite places Disney has ever created.
You just gave away the best hiding spot on a hot day! That exhibit is where we hide when we needed a quiet place. It's not only quiet but very detailed and beautiful.
A few years back my family couldn't get a reservation at one of the World Showcase restaurants (don't remember which) and decided on a whim to see if they could get on at Restaurant Marrakesh. We've sense made a point to go back there every time we visit Disney. The foods great, the atmosphere is amazing, and it's never been a problem getting a reservation. They also have a belly dance show in that center section of the restaurant. Another interesting note, which is written on one of those plaques around the pavilion, is the fact that Morocco was the fist country to recognize the United States as a sovereign nation.
The vlog shows that most visitors including myself don’t explore enough in Epcot. We tend to do walk bys and not really take in these different cultures. Will surely do this next visit.
Love the Architecture in the Moroccan pavilion. So pretty and intricate. The tile work, mosaics....it's so different than western European or even Asian architecture. Really like how Disney pays so much careful attention to details. Btw, Restaurant Merrakesh has awesome food. Highly recommend you and Jenn dine there one night.
Having spent some time in the Middle East I can truly say this is very authentic and fully represents the culture of the country. Just as you experienced I feel like there are so many nooks and crannies to explore in each country that it never gets dull or boring - each trip brings new discoveries. Great series!
I love the Morocco pavilion -- especially Restaurant Marrakesh, which I first went to on my honeymoon. Great food -- and my favorite happy birthday song on property. It kinda sounds like a middle eastern version of happy birthday...on fast forward. Hearing that song 3-4 times during a dinner at Marrakesh is kinda hilarious. Also, you can often find other Photopass photographers at most of those "Instagram spots" you mentioned...it depends on the day. Great series!
Egg holders are for soft boiled eggs. You nestle the egg in it, crack off the top and spoon it out. My mother loves to then spoon it on her toast. The more you know.... So excited for another in depth look! Love this series :)
The World Showcase is amazing. It's inspired us to see some of these places in real life. Very much looking forward to the new additions coming to it over the next couple of years.
I feel the Morocco pavilion is highly underrated. It's absolutely beautiful if you slow down and take the time to appreciate it. All the handmade tiles and the carved wood blow me away, too. Restaurant Marrakesh is on my to-do list for our next trip. Unlike many of the restaurants in the showcase, they seem to have dishes that you wouldn't normally see.

This is actually one of my top 3 favourite pavilions in the World showcase. I knew about the fountain at the back however, no idea of that gallery. Fun fact, I have been told this pavilion is the only one to actually be sponsored by the actual country. Hence, why this in my opinion, is the most detailed pavilion!
My husband said the leader of Morocco had a special architect design this area. He wanted it to be as authentic as he could get. He wanted to show the beauty of his culture.
The Morocco gallery and the Fez House courtyard are two of my favorite places to hang out in World Showcase. Best pavillion, hands down. Mexico gets honorable mention for the El Castillo lookalike inside.
Morocco is my favourite pavilion! I love the intricate architecture hidden nooks, perfect for grabbing a moment of peace away from the crowds. Tangerine Cafe is a great place to eat and sit in the shade. I’m so jealous you’re there and I’m in rainy England!
I’ve always LOVED the Moroccan pavilion! It’s my escape from the crowds sometimes. And it’s truly beautiful and authentic since the King of Morocco had his own architects come build the pavilion for EPCOT.
Wow Tim, that was the best pavilion yet! I have really being enjoying the series, but this was truly amazing. The craftsmanship in the buildings is incredible, and how wonderful that the moroccan people have been able to preserve and continue the artistry throughout thousands of years. So often these skills are lost in time. Thanks for a wonderful video.
I've always thought the Morocco pavilion was a hidden gem. The labyrinthine layout with alleys, narrow doorways, courtyards and crossing paths is immersive. The quality and intricacy of the theming is some of the best anywhere on property. The food is also unique the the pavilion at Disney and pretty good. Your video does a good job capturing the appeal of the pavilion, thanks to you and Jen for creating it!
You gotta go back to Restaurant Marrakesh. That's where I had my first taste of Morrocan/Middle Eastern food and it is WONDERFUL! And I love the Art of Adornment as a quiet place to sit and chat on a busy park day
I really love this series! Morocco is one of my favorite pavilions in world showcase and I didn’t get to spend enough time there last time I went so I’m glad I got to see it again.
As a moroccan, this will always be my favorite spot in epcot 💚❤️💚❤️💚🇲🇦 very authentic. Thought not alot of bars, beer and booze in morocco 😂 Might be odd, but I love smelling all the cedar boxes! And leather - reminds me of my childhood ❤️
I used to work at Epcot and for discovery day we learned that Morocco is so cool because it was closed and built by the Kingdom itself, and not Disney. That’s why there is so much detail and traditional decorations. And they had and have a lot of input on what goes on inside the pavilion.
The Morocco pavilion is one of my favourites purely because it’s so beautiful! also the tiled fountain is part of the many Instagram walls in WDW. Can’t wait for the next pavilion tour 😊
The round pillows are actually called poufs....you place them on the floor and sit on them or you can use them as a low table if you stuff them tightly...my husband is Moroccan and we have 6 in our home plus many of the other items in the gift shops.... very authentic gifts in the Moroccan pavilion
This is my favorite pavilion at Epcot. I lived in the Middle East for a number of years and brought home a lot of similar things. Just about the only restaurant at WDW that we ever repeat is Spice Road Tables. We love sitting outside and sharing a couple of small plates. I also love to get an ice cream cone from France and go sit in the tile room and just enjoy the quiet. It's a beautiful pavilion.
I love these vlogs. 1.) Tim is showing me so many great places to take selfies for Instagram 😂🤩 and 2.) there’s a lot more to the pavilions than we realize! The artwork and intricate design on the structures is beautiful. Will definitely spend more time in Morocco next visit- thanks guys!
Morocco is my favorite pavilion, food is great! The ambience reminds me somewhat of New Orleans Square in DL in that you can get turned around and surprised, almost lost. Lots of fun and the Morocco CM's are the friendliest of any in the World Showcase.
Morocco is the dark horse of all of the Epcot pavilions. Love it so much. It is like you have been taken away to another place. The only thing it is missing is the dirt and the smell.
Morocco is my favorite Pavilion. The details are incredible, the restaurants are sooooo good and it's usually fairly quiet. I'm so glad you took the time to really explore it. Everytime you go back you'll see new details you didn't notice before.
It is absolutely my favorite pavilion. Last April was the first time I’ve ever been and I literally sat inside of one of the little alcove for 30 minutes just looking at things taking it all In. You truly have to experience it to understand how utterly beautiful it is.
Love when you do these tours, Tim, so well done and thorough! I stumbled upon that cool exhibit area of Morocco awhile ago, love it! Like you said, that pavilion has a lot of nooks and crannies, not crowded, that I adore. The detail in here is amazing, as you said. Did you know the King of Morocco actually sent craftsmen to hand carve and hand tile all the details, to make sure they were accurately portrayed, and did honor to the country? I love studying all of them here! Tangierine Cafe is a "must do" for me every trip! "Moroccan crockpot" - God, I LOVE your commentaries, Tim! :) Big hugs to you, Jenn, and Bandit!!
Hey TimTracker!! You probably already know this but a really interesting thing about this pavilion is the King of Morocco actually sent his own artisans to help design it. Thanks for another great video!!
Exactly 20 years ago I had my photo at the "fountain Instagram spot" but back then there was no Instagram! I didn't even own a digital camera 😂 It is one of my favourite photos that I snapped in WDW 👍
The Fez House was originally home to displays of artisan works from Morocco with live artisans. Brasswork and carpet making. It'd be flanked with brass pieces and some in progress, and then the big open space in the middle would be large carpets and people looming them. For many years after the space had an authentic giant loom still hanging out as a display. It's meant to be sort of a display of a traditional home on the upper level - so it has audio that plays of a family intermittently. The bells for the "clock" were overhead to your left - they're sort of at the top of that wall there and dont look like a traditional bell shape. Looks sort of like a series of cylinders. The restaurant also has belly dancing. I think you and jen would like. Cinnamon spiced beef and melon flavors in desserts. Lamps of Wonder was more mini-museum space back in the day and the characters have moved in, but while waiting some of the displays are still there. At the front of the pavilion, what is Tangeriene Cafe used to be the tourism bureau for Morroco, answering questions and helping book trips to visit the country. Those restrooms on the right before France are one of a pair of pavilion markers from the park's opening day. Morocco was the first pavilion added - built adjacent those existing restrooms. Years later Norway would be added at what was its own no-theme-no-country restrooms as well.
I got lost in there during my last trip in 2016. So cool to just explore the little nooks and crannies. It is a perfect example of why Epcot remains my favourite of the parks. Just an endless amount of random things to discover.
I love the Moroccan pavilion! It's one of my favorites and restaurant Marrakesh is a favorite of ours as well. Thanks for the video and all the memories it brings back! wish we could post photos in our comments, We love that little spot at 7:50 and have taken our picture there many times!
Wow, I have never taken the time to explore all of Morocco. I didnt realize it had so many little spots in there. And the architecture is just beautiful! There is so much detail! I love all the lamps around the pavilion!
The style of Morocco exhibit was one of the best hidden gems of our first WDW trip! I can’t wait to go back and see even more of the details but definitely the most beautiful pavilion! 😍
Morocco is my favorite pavillion. My daughter also loves taking pictures in that pavillion. The last time we went, we met Aladdin at night with a cool lamp to hold for the photo. It was one of the coolest meets. Mostly because no one was around. It was like he was just waiting to meet people.
Huge fan of these in depth tours Tim and world showcase is fantastic. I absolutely loved it when visiting and plan to go more into each country on our next trip and watching these make us so excited. The Morocco pavilion is absolutely beautiful
You are so inspiring you show us so much, a lot we have seen but some of the areas we did not know were there, thank you Tim for taking us along on your visit to Epcot , hello to jenn and cuddles for bandit xxx
I'm at disney for the FIRST TIME ( EVER ) all week until the 24th! I have been keeping my eyes peeled for you guys!!! love your videos! they have been so helpful since I've been here!!!
What's funny was that while you were looking in that area with the fountain my mind went to thinking that maybe Aladdin would be in this pavillion but rethought cause of Arabia, but then you show the lamps of wonder sign and telling that Jasmine was normally in there and it just confirmed my first thought xD
Tim I have done the exact same thing at the Morocco pavilion, sometimes at Disney you might see a door that you might think is locked or not accessible only to find that there is a complete experience around the corner.
I was just there December 8th to the 16th and I told my family let’s just sit back on Epcot and enjoy the world showcase. So much to see and enjoy. This video was great.
Tim, we have eaten at the Tangierene restaurant a couple of times and we love it. We usually get the gyro platter because we always have the dining plan. We also eat at those outdoor tables near the bathrooms. Back in 2014 we ate there as a family before my daughter got married, and we laughed our heads off sitting there while eating. Ain't nothing like family.
Tim we really enjoy your videos thank you!! We'll be in Walt Disney from 12/23 - 1/2/19 My wife and I are hoping we could run into you guys at the parks. And now it's time to pay the price 👍👍
The Moroccan govt was involved in the design and build. King Hassan sent his artists to design the tiles. Truly the most authentic pavilion there.
That's cos the king of Morocco sent his own artisans to design and execute the decor
@@susie9893 yeah...that is what he said.
You wrong Hassan 2 sent the Algerian artists to design this tiles

Just to correct, It was the Mohamed the fifth. there is a famous picture of Walt Disney and HM Mohamed 5

In the UK, they cut buttered toast into strips and kids dip them into the soft boiled egg. It's called boiled egg and soldiers :)
The detail really is breathtaking, wow!
The World Showcase is amazing. It's inspired us to see some of these places in real life. Very much looking forward to the new additions coming to it over the next couple of years.

I love the Moroccan Pavilion! Unfortunately didn't get to explore it the last time I visited. Thanks for the tour!
Thank you for the kind words about Morocco
Huge fan of these in depth tours Tim and world showcase is fantastic. I absolutely loved it when visiting and plan to go more into each country on our next trip and watching these make us so excited. The Morocco pavilion is absolutely beautiful
You are so inspiring you show us so much, a lot we have seen but some of the areas we did not know were there, thank you Tim for taking us along on your visit to Epcot , hello to jenn and cuddles for bandit xxx
Great World Showcase Series Guys! We really need to try Spice Road Table as it looks great, plus the view!
I'm at disney for the FIRST TIME ( EVER ) all week until the 24th! I have been keeping my eyes peeled for you guys!!! love your videos! they have been so helpful since I've been here!!!
I love your showcase series. I daydream about exploring World Showcase alone so I can geek out on the details.
Brilliant one Tim, really entertaining and very thorough especially the foods!!! 😃😃😃😃
What's funny was that while you were looking in that area with the fountain my mind went to thinking that maybe Aladdin would be in this pavillion but rethought cause of Arabia, but then you show the lamps of wonder sign and telling that Jasmine was normally in there and it just confirmed my first thought xD
Epcot is my favorite Park!
I am LOVING this series. It also makes me feel like a schmuck for all the times I’ve been in World Showcase and not gone deep into the pavilions.
The Moroccan pavilion is my favorite! Restaurant Marrakesh is very good!
excellent !!! absolutely loving this series , thanks tim for another great vlog !!
I love these series Tim, the showcase around the world. Thank you!
We'll be in Walt Disney from
12/23 - 1/2/19
My wife and I are hoping we could run into you guys at the parks.
And now it's time to pay the price
👍👍
Another good one! I had no idea there was so much in that pavilion! Keep'm coming Tim!
