Tim pronouncing Monsieur is hilarious. :) Also, I have eaten at France a couple times and it was delicious. My whole family did the pre fixed menu and we all had a variety of things and liked them all! The service is amazing as well. "After all this is France, and a dinner here is never second best"!!

My kid is very stressed and yelling at our TV that the Camera near the artist area IS part of Agent P's World Showcase. He wanted me to call you so he could tell you, I had to explain that I don't have your number.

Chefs de France is delicious! My gf and I went there for our first Disney lunch. I had the filet mignon and it was the best steak I ever had. My gf is gluten-free because of celiacs and the staff were SO sad that she couldnt have their bread. Our waiter was downright appalled. But the chef spoke to my gf at length to make sure she could eat what he prepared. They didnt have any gluten-free dessert options, so they actually went and got her a bowl of super fresh berries and some whipped cream. They really went above and beyond for her.

I know I'm 6 month late but I'm happy to see that people suffering of celiac disease (like myself) can eat about anywhere in Disney and that cast member are being helpful 😁😁 I'm going to Disneyland Paris with my gf in August and I can't wait to see how it'll goes!!

I’ve been waiting the whole series for you to get to the France pavilion! It’s by far my favorite; you should definitely eat at Les Chefs, it’s a great date night dinner spot, and the quick service food is on point! Also, super random, but the ice cream at the crepe stand is my favorite soft serve on property. Hope you both are having a lovely time on the cruise, and thank you so much for putting so much thought and care into your videos! 😀

I took 7 years of French, counting college. I loved hearing you try to say the words. Who cares how accurate you were. You tried! And you have a great tour of France. And honestly, with the cost of things in this area, I wouldn’t want my husband shopping too long! 😁

I love the France pavilion! My kids and I had a special meeting with Belle when we finished up at the KidCot table. Belle was coming out from a backstage area near where the theater lets out, and she saw my cute baby and, still in character, came over to us to compliment how cute my one year old was! That was a special memory as Belle is one of our favorite characters! Disney Magic!

I love the France pavillion!! Although Japan is my number one, France is like my one and a half. It is so beautiful and such a hidden gem! I went to Chefs Des France like 5 years ago and it was my family's least favorite, but it may have changed since. However, le Boulangerie Patisserie is one of my favorite snack spots in all of Epcot! Every single thing I've gotten there has been delicious, especially the crème brulée! They also have the most satisfying ice to chew (sounds weird but ask for some water or get a soda and you won't be disappointed). Also, as a plus the cast members in France are incredibly nice- I'm learning French and they were sooo sweet and talked to me. They also corrected some pronunciation and taught me 2 sentences and my french professor was really impressed.

This taking a closer look series is my favorite. I am always so happy to see a new entry. I've eaten at Le Chefs de France many times and I used to love it. It was a must do but they have since changed the menu and taken off my favorites and Remy is not there any longer. I loved the quiche, the burger with the bearnaise sauce, and the French onion soup. I am not interested in anything on the new menu so I haven't been there in a couple of years. It used to be pretty good though. I hope y'all are having fun on your Disney cruise! I'd love to hear how Jenn is doing especially since I feel the same way about being out away from land and all that water and it's soo isolated. You work very hard and there is a lot of time and effort that goes into these posts so it's exciting that the folks at Disney have taken notice of your channel and are sponsoring your cruise. I am excited for you!

Hi Tim!! I was waiting so patiently for France and you didn't disappoint! I always say that every country in Epcot is my favorite, but honestly it's a tie between France and England. My Mom and I ordered some pink Rosé last time we were there and it was so delicious. I'm not a huge drinker either. My family and I had my birthday dinner two years ago at Monsieur Paul - we were on the dining plan otherwise we wouldn't have gone. It's a lovely restaurant but the prices are a little high for paying out of pocket. If anyone uses dining points to go there, note that they take two points per person. Our waitress was kind enough to tell us that before we ordered. Also, at the Patisserie, you must try the Croissant Jambon Fromage and their Macaroon with raspberries! It's my favorite dessert at Disney!! My family and I usually get four desserts and rotate them between us so that we can sample them all. Thanks so much for bringing Disney to those of us who can't go every day! Can't wait to see England and Canada!! Have fun on the cruise!!

I had forgotten until I looked at this, but the two sun-rooms on the facings of Chefs de France that look like they were just stuck onto the building were, in fact, just stuck onto the building. They started their lives as a sidewalk cafe, because, well, you can't recreate Paris without having a sidewalk cafe. I don't know how long ago they changed it, possibly a long time ago, probably due to weather (cool nights, coupled with Central Florida thunderstorms), but I guess they decided that they could, in fact, have Paris without the sidewalk cafe. Another commenter, talking about the false main entrance, mentions "the renovation," so I assume that is when it changed.

The "false entrance" was the entrance back when it was two restaurants downstairs. When you're inside you'll notice a sort of arcade of arches just set back from the windows - those where the original windows and wall. Anything past there was "Bistro de Paris" - outside seating French bistro. Anything "inside" was Chefs de France. Eventually Chefs absorbed the bistro (look at the ceiling, it doesnt match either) and also expanded in the covered sun room as well. A new restaurant was carved out upstairs in what was storage space, originally named Bistro de Paris, and now Monsieur Paul. The blocked off door next to what's now Monsieur Paul was the original bakery - really a glorified bread window. It was too small to keep up with demand so it took over the cookware shop which is now where Artisans de Glace now resides, and the bakery finally getting its own building addition in Les Halles. As for shops otherwise, Plume at Palette and the Gallerie shop used to have a second floor where you could buy prints of famous french painting. It was a small balcony space over the shop as seen today, and the stairs went up between the two sections you see now. One of the losses when Disney decided guests don't like going up stairs to shop (along with 2nd floor of Mousegear/Centorium, and the 2nd terrace shops in Canada.)
