Kind of funny, I bought this exhaust but was not 100% happy with it and ended up getting a Yoshi after watching some of your videos. Reasons being: I didn't like having a cheap exhaust on a premium bike (and knowing it was fake even if others didn't). Like you mentioned, it is not as refined, almost sounds straight piped, and sounds obnoxious without the db killer. Didn't really like the fact of having 2 cats in the link pipe, even though it probably didn't affect it. I now love the Yoshi, and wouldn't go back, however I do think the ali express exhaust gets 80% there for a fraction of the cost. I think they are a great buy for a cheaper bike where you can't justify spending 1/4 of the bike cost on an exhaust
@@TheChicken266 Interesting! Point 1: Very valid take. I've actually always been against cheap exhausts as well but to be fair they have come a long way in terms of quality and sound. In essence if you are only doing a slip on then all the exhaust is doing is making a nicer noise and reducing weight and making it look better. So a $600 Yoshi or $1000 ZARD or $95 AliExpress are all essentially doing the same thing. It's just how it makes you feel personally. The Yoshimura is definitely a top quality product and you can see and hear how well it's made especially with the titanium and carbon tip. Last yes also agree, I didn't pay that much for my bike so something like a Zard or Yoshi brand new was more like 1/3rd the price of the bike just to make a noise and look better 😅 Cheers thanks for watching and commenting 😎👍
Tried earphones and headphones, twice. Sounds good. Probably better in the flesh... Surely that weight loss makes a difference! The twisties will be a good test for both points.
Yeah its much better in person! The gopro mic doesnt do it justice. Ya the weight loss definitely helps, especially for wheelies. Will hopefully get some good footage in the twisties soon!
This actually has me considering one for my 2018. Have you tried with the DB killer installed? If so, DB measurement by chance? Some tracks in my area have strict DB limits and would rather avoid swapping out for stock every time I attend a trackday.
@@FatherOBlivion I can do a test for you but depends on your local track db limits. With such a short end can I think it would still be loudish. At 90db idle it's already quite high to begin with 😅
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs That would be awesome if you would. I see some other commenters asking as well. Laguna Seca often has ~95db limits. Measured at some distance on a specific part of the track, so it's not right behind the bike. Thanks!
Lekka bru. Making me jelly here. Hopefully I can hear it at Killarney the end of the month. Would you run the db for the track? I have always wanted a racefit, but my current yoshi is also very nice
@@gsxrpat6147 haha thanks man! Nah don't think I'll run the db killer. It's not that loud that the track will have an issue. But maybe I'll take it with just incase 😅

I did watcha video on UA-cam of a guy that got a full AliExpress system for his Kawasaki Z900 and had it properly dyno tuned, it got some impressive results and even the tuner was impressed with the quality and performance. So might be worth looking into?
Pleasure :) Yes I always ride with earplugs. The wind noise will really destroy your ears over time and not the exhaust noise. I use the No Noise earlpugs that have a ceramic insert for a dB reduction. They are nice soft silicone. The reduce the noise but you can still hear low frequency sounds and cars and traffic etc, but cuts the wind noise down a bit. start with foam earplugs to get used to it and then invest in some decent quality ear plugs that are re-usable. Cheers!
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs Of course, I can't ride without ear plugs. I used Alpine race earplugs for several years but to reduce the noise I opted to pick 3M industrial earplugs. They have no technology to filter out some frequencies and pass through some of the audible bandwidth, LOL. They are are uncomfortable too but since my father and sister are almost deaf (started to lose hearing too early for their age) I'm trying my best not to be the third medal winner of the family.
