Today, I'm Brave - Maricarmen and Alexander Luhrsen

Maricarmen Luhrsen knew something was wrong with her son, Alexander, despite countless doctors and specialists telling her otherwise. She refused to give up searching for answers. Finally, after years of exhaustive research and outreach, she got the bittersweet confirmation to what she had known all along. Alexander was diagnosed with a rare chromosomal condition called 8P inversion duplication deletion syndrome, a disorder with fewer than 100 known cases around the world.
