Sarah is maybe too immature for a long term relationship. Romance suffers in the long term when real life problems get in the way. Probably she isn't ready for anything too serious and needs time to reflect and grow up, think about her loneliness and need for validation... She made a huge mistake and needs to be aware of that. I am a woman, but have worked in medical and corporate jobs, and despise when spouses complain the other spouse “works too much”….as if there is some box you can check saying “let me get paid for only short, easy hours, and not the long hours I have to in order to do the job.” Do you like money? As an adult, I would know exactly what to do for myself and kids, and have no need for a guy to be there to state the obvious,. The sad truth is, if this turned out to be true, Sarah would have left Robert in a heartbeat. Couples therapy is a waste of time. As soon as another man even smiles at Sarah, Robert is history. He deserves better.
I majored in psych and started a residency in psychiatry before switching medical specialties, and it’s been shown that couples therapy has literally the worst efficacy of ANY form of therapy. It rarely works. And other therapies are actually pretty efficacious. For phobias and anxiety, therapy is actually more efficacious than current meds or any other treatment, and is often the standard of care. It has an impressive success rate (if you do it….you generally have a curative or near curative response).

Robert, you are in for a life of pain if you stay with this woman. My husband's first wife cheated on him with any guy who smiled at her, including several of his "friends". She kept promising it would never happen again but she continued to cheat. He endured it for 6 years, before he finally walked away. A busy work schedule is no excuse for cheating. If she's that unhappy, she should go out on her own and not keep you hanging on to be her safety net. Don't be her doormat.

@@Crackpot_AstronautJoylene is right! You guys only caught a VERY small glimpse of our story. I absolutely dropped the ball and neglected my relationship with Sarah... for a very LONG time. It's not just that I "work long hours to provide for her and the kids" but I used my work as an escape when she would attempt to communicate her needs. I would just get angry about the way she was trying to tell me what she needed and run off to the next task that needed to be done, day or night. For well over a year, Sarah was the only one putting ANY effort into our relationship. I was just there physically. I didn't realize it until everything blew up, but I was emotionally disconnected and that is just as cruel, if not worse, than what happened here. For 4 years prior to this, we basically lived separate lives, because I was working just as many hours but on overnights. This isn't a feeling that just popped up in her out of nowhere and she tried and tried to communicate that to me but I wouldn't hear it. That is on me. Sarah is an amazing, beautiful woman, inside and out, that has loved me through all of my flaws, regardless of what you see here. I am incredibly lucky that she is still here and that SHE hung on through all of that. No I didn't deserve to be cheated on but I didn't and don't deserve her after everything that I put her through. She doesn't deserve to be cyber bullied for having the courage to put her story out there, to hopefully, help keep this from happening to someone else.

I see alot of people who think that it's "selfish" to want to spend time with their spouse. That's bizarre to me. Everyone shows love differently and everyone receives love differently. It's called a love language. If you and your spouse have a good relationship and you're providing eachother with the proper amount and TYPE of "love", then sure! It's fine to work all the time. But alot of people don't see you working all the time as "love". Especially when work is something you'd do whether you're single or married. "Working extra to provide extra" for someone who hasn't asked you to work OR provide any extra is not for anyone other than yourself. And it's a selfish copout to claim otherwise. Imagine if a woman was exercising all day, every day and didn't have time to look at you, touch you, or talk to you because she was too busy "doing something for you". If that's not what you want or need or ever asked for, then how is it for you? There has to be a balance. You can't just work all the time and claim you're doing it for someone else. Especially if that person becomes lonely and feels unloved.

One scam victim was going through a divorce. Her husband was verbally abusive and I think physically as well. She met a scammer and he told her he had a house in a different state. He wanted her to stay at his house while he was in the hospital. She packed her belongings and drove to the location of the house. It had a for sale sign, there was no key under the doormat and the neighbors told her that no one by the name she had given them ever lived there. There was an old couple that lived there for many years and they moved out and have their house on the market. When she went to the hospital the scammer claimed he was in, the hospital had no record of him. When she went back home, her estranged husband had changed the locks. Before running away to the scammer, she had wiped out the couples joint bank account and just left her husband enough money to pay the mortgage. Because she willingly sent money to another person without her husband‘s permission, during the divorce she had to pay him back for the money she stole and she ended up with no alimony whatsoever. The woman’s husband was very verbally abusive would call her stupid or dumb and make fun of her weight. After hearing her story about her encounter with the scammer, it makes me believe that she has done other not so smart things prior to ever meeting the scammer. She should not have been abused by her husband but it sounded like this woman was extremely gullible. It probably wouldn’t have taken a lot of coercion to get her to do anything. She sent the scammer nude pictures of herself and he later tried to blackmail her when she stop giving him money. The scammer even sent the pictures to her husband and Facebook friends because she had given him access to all her accounts. This along with the entire scamming situation just added more ammunition for her abusive ex-husband.
She definitely sucks but taking care of 6 kids is not “sitting at home and doing nothing”. Education is necessary nowadays but doesn’t always equal being ‘smart’ I was married many years to a good man who only had very basic education but he worked hard to look after me and there was much love. Footing the bill for therapy made my heart explode. These two, and their kids, need the community to rally and support them. I don’t know that man with the tattoos but it was very meaningful that he encouraged them so authentically. He must really love his fans.

The sad truth is, if this turned out to be true, Sarah would have left Robert in a heartbeat. Couples therapy is a waste of time. As soon as another man even smiles at Sarah, Robert is history. He deserves better.
I majored in psych and started a residency in psychiatry before switching medical specialties, and it’s been shown that couples therapy has literally the worst efficacy of ANY form of therapy. It rarely works.
And other therapies are actually pretty efficacious. For phobias and anxiety, therapy is actually more efficacious than current meds or any other treatment, and is often the standard of care. It has an impressive success rate (if you do it….you generally have a curative or near curative response).

I believe it is in some areas, my 12 year old says they learn about different types of online scams in a class called "WIN" (What I Need) at school.
I think most people just need straight up literacy taught to them, forget financial literacy.

It's not just that I "work long hours to provide for her and the kids" but I used my work as an escape when she would attempt to communicate her needs. I would just get angry about the way she was trying to tell me what she needed and run off to the next task that needed to be done, day or night. For well over a year, Sarah was the only one putting ANY effort into our relationship. I was just there physically. I didn't realize it until everything blew up, but I was emotionally disconnected and that is just as cruel, if not worse, than what happened here. For 4 years prior to this, we basically lived separate lives, because I was working just as many hours but on overnights. This isn't a feeling that just popped up in her out of nowhere and she tried and tried to communicate that to me but I wouldn't hear it. That is on me. Sarah is an amazing, beautiful woman, inside and out, that has loved me through all of my flaws, regardless of what you see here. I am incredibly lucky that she is still here and that SHE hung on through all of that. No I didn't deserve to be cheated on but I didn't and don't deserve her after everything that I put her through. She doesn't deserve to be cyber bullied for having the courage to put her story out there, to hopefully, help keep this from happening to someone else.

She would have so totally left her fiancé for the other guy. She only realized how much she loved her man when it turned out it was all fake.
One scam victim was going through a divorce. Her husband was verbally abusive and I think physically as well. She met a scammer and he told her he had a house in a different state. He wanted her to stay at his house while he was in the hospital. She packed her belongings and drove to the location of the house. It had a for sale sign, there was no key under the doormat and the neighbors told her that no one by the name she had given them ever lived there. There was an old couple that lived there for many years and they moved out and have their house on the market. When she went to the hospital the scammer claimed he was in, the hospital had no record of him.
When she went back home, her estranged husband had changed the locks. Before running away to the scammer, she had wiped out the couples joint bank account and just left her husband enough money to pay the mortgage. Because she willingly sent money to another person without her husband‘s permission, during the divorce she had to pay him back for the money she stole and she ended up with no alimony whatsoever.
The woman’s husband was very verbally abusive would call her stupid or dumb and make fun of her weight. After hearing her story about her encounter with the scammer, it makes me believe that she has done other not so smart things prior to ever meeting the scammer. She should not have been abused by her husband but it sounded like this woman was extremely gullible. It probably wouldn’t have taken a lot of coercion to get her to do anything. She sent the scammer nude pictures of herself and he later tried to blackmail her when she stop giving him money. The scammer even sent the pictures to her husband and Facebook friends because she had given him access to all her accounts. This along with the entire scamming situation just added more ammunition for her abusive ex-husband.

Education is necessary nowadays but doesn’t always equal being ‘smart’ I was married many years to a good man who only had very basic education but he worked hard to look after me and there was much love. He passed away not long ago .. I’m so grateful for time we had together. Watching these videos sometimes amazes me. The people being scammed and the scum that do so, for the money.
