My brother has been a police office for 20 years now. Even he has lost faith in SAPS. He is desperately trying to join the local WC Metropolice unit, which seems to be a better entity.
He has mentioned many a times that the quality of Police Officers appointed these days are poor. People who are not there to serve and protect but rather just earn a paycheck doing as little as possible😢
Ian Cameron shoud really be in thr position Beke Cele is in right now. Cele is nothing but a joke and he as turned SAPS into a joke aswell.

I had a break in around 2016. Upon entering my gate, I saw my door was ajar and immediately knew. There was a police van passing and I ask them to go inside and look if the perpetrators are still inside or not. I was told by the police in front to my gate, to go to the police station and open a case 😢. They were right there and couldn't just look
