Laura, I am just beginning to watch this episode. I want to let you know how much I enjoy your UA-cam channel. I subscribe to 150+ flosstube and quilting channels and look forward to your's most of all. UA-cam needs a bell that shoots confetti and makes a "YooHoo" sound when our most loved content creators upload. OK, now, ON WITH THE SHOW! ❤😂🎉
So kind of you to not go on about a pattern when it’s not available. It’s frustrating when a stitcher expounds on a pattern, only to say- but it’s not available anymore -
So many beautiful projects. Thanks for sharing them with us. I would restart Consider the Lilies. It looks beautiful as is, but I think you'd be more comfortable and more likely to stitch it in one strand of floss.
Lovely parade start. In the spirit of Lilies I would call for a restart with one strand. I am pretty sure Beth stitched the model 1 over 2 on 28. You can always do whatever you want, but just throwing that out there. Especially if you bought only the floss recommended for the project, you’ll be short doing 2 over 2.
Epic wip parade... so many lovely projects. This was so fun to watch! I honestly didnt' even know you had Gaia as a WIP!! lol. I absolutely love County Fair. I've got her in my stash! You should be SO proud of your progress on Comfort Lighthouse, you made great progress!! Not a race and honestly I wasn't expecting to finish mine haha. Love all your tiny town progress and your Wysocki train station piece. Consider the lillies is such a big piece, I say if 1 strand makes you happier to stitch with and you have the space on the fabric, I'd say restart. If it's paused anyway, might as well restart it since it's not getting progress now. :)
One stand . . . two strands? Not all projects need the node of perfection. It may well be a project of learning. I pray that all your lovely designs will reach fruition. I enjoyed part one very much.
Love seeing your WIPs, thanks so much. For CTL, could you try a small sample 1 over 2 to see if is much different? Then, follow your joy. It’s too big to not enjoy every stitch.
Oh you were such a joy to watch! Your happy positive personality is like a ray of sunshine. I saw several of your that I may have to get. I have a lot of WIPS myself. I think I just get bored quickly and move on to something else. I’ve got one from the 1980’s and a few from the 90’s 🙄😑 Can’t wait to see part 2!
fun video, thank you very much. looking forward to part two. Regarding Consider the Lillies, you have your answer already, in that you haven't touched it in more than a year despite loving the pattern and the fabric. I believe it is beautiful as it is in two strands, but if you liked it enough, you would be working it and not considering it... LOL. best wishes.
Your stitches on the sampler are just beautiful. It is a very large project, and if you’re questioning one vs two threads at this early stage you may want to consider restarting. I went through the same dilemma with a similar project and decided to start over. I now love working on it and am seeing progress with it. Thank you for sharing with us. I enjoy watching your stitching and quilting progress.
51:19 the cover of the owl kit looks similar to the one for my Christmas reindeer, the company is MP Studia from Russia if you were interested in that info 😊
Hi Laura, I just wanted to tell you about a surreal experience I had this Chriatmas break. I did a Hobbit and Lord of the Rings marathon and anytime that they played 'The Shire' music your lovely face came to mind and I felt the urge to stitch. 😄 My brain now thinks of it as your theme song. 😂 Loving your WIP parade so far ❤
Consider the lilies: my opinion: start it over how you’re most comfortable and get the most enjoyment out of it! I say this because I’m stitching mine on called for 28 count with one strand also as called for, and it’s torture, I’m still working on it, it’s more than 1/2 way done but it’s been a few years and I always find myself “forcing “ myself to work on it, it’s such a big long term project, I say you should love how you’re stitching it! Thanks for sharing all your beautiful projects!
Oh my goodness I thought I had a lot of wips but you've got me beat by a mile. The number of spring pieces!! Also I can't see how you can be old enough to have worked in a quilt shop that long even if you started at age 12....
I was absolutely waiting for your WIP parade and part 1 did not disappoint! Hopefully I can finish stitching this house when I listen to part two later this week. Beautiful projects!
Oh my gosh, part 1 of your WIP parade was so much fun. Loved seeing all your projects. I think your “Consider the Lilies” it absolutely beautiful just like it is 😊. Now, on to part 2…
For consider the lilies, I'd start over, I stitch everything 1 over 1 so it would certainly fit on the remaining fabric. You could rework what you've already stitched into a pillow, flat fold, project bag, etc?
I enjoyed this video a lot. Like you, I have an eclectic taste in charts and it was really nice to see such a wide variety of projects. You also have a knack for selecting some really gorgeous linen! Good luck with your "BS" wheel - that is a clever idea and I hope it helps you move forward on some of your beautiful projects! Happy stitching. :-)
This was so much fun! You have lovely projects but of course I knew that since I wouldn’t miss watching your videos (I have from the beginning)! Now on to watching part two!
I loved them all...I remember when you started Tonight we Ride! I'm also doing Seas and Greetings. It's very fun. I think you should restart Consider the Lilies if you have enough fabric. It seems.its meant to be done in a softer feel if that makes sense! Heading to watch part 2.
About restarting your beautiful sampler...your stitches look lovely, as usual, so if that's the reason you want to start again, then I'd say not to do that. But, if you REALLY WANT to start again, and that makes you happier, then do it. Looking forwrd to part 2. Steph
Another amazing WIP parade! When you started talking about Thanksgiving Harvest Fairy I realized I have the old crescent color threads! I pulled my crescent color amethyst and the darkest color in it is closest to DMC 211 and the lightest color in it is a shade darker than DMC 24. I tore through all of my purples and it looks closest to the new Classic Colorworks blooming crocus if that helps. Blooming Crocus' darkest color is just a shade darker than the Crescent Colors Amethysts darkest color. I would be more than happy to send you pictures if that would be helpful. Also worth noting Plum Paisley is also really different. My Crescent Color skein is significantly darker than my new Classic Colorworks skein (and honestly straight up looks like a different shade of purple).
Laura the big debate. I love your piece and I myself would probably continue on because that would be a lot to frog. However if you are not enjoying the stitch then your should start it over. I struggle with projects that I am not loving to stitch.
Re: consider the lilies. restart it but do two strands for the white floss if it doesn't look weird that way? i do that with snowflakes... 🤷🏻♀️ just a thought
Hi Laura This is what I do for the Dimensions Kits - I only use two strands for all of the stitches - Full Cross. There are other stitches that do the same thing on their Dimensions Kits. Love all of your WIPS Why don’t you start over on that one project and stitch it the way you want to and on whatever fabric count you want. That is what I would do. Beautiful Fabrics Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🙏🧵🪡🧵❤️
Hi Laura, I don’t know if anyone is telling you but your pop up pictures are not showing up . Just fyi. I actually love consider the lilies. I think it looks beautiful. My opinion I think you should continue but it is your piece. All that work it is stunning.cant wait to watch part two
You don’t need to rush. We enjoy listening to you and enjoy your thoughts about your projects. Also, you don’t need to copy Pam and Steph. They are kind of loud and rough around the edges (nothing wrong with that-that’s who they are)but it’s not you. You are calm and lovely and I would encourage you to think of a different label for your tiny starts. The label BS makes them sound like projects you don’t like. You are an amazing person with great taste and talent. Keep up the great work. ❤
Hi Laura I just wanted to ask , if you noticed that in the 101 book Santa’s list project there is a symbol on the pattern but not in the key chart. Does your book also have that issue it is in his hat and coat . The symbol is in red and looks like this * . If in your copy you have what it is could you please tell me the Dmc color it is. I have also bought this book , but it is missing that symbol. Thank you

Great projects! Lots of WIPS. I am more of a monogamous stitcher but I love watching all the WIP parades! Keep Stitching! I am a quilter also.
Sometimes I watch your videos more than once…as I am today! Second time here for the WIPs!😊
So many beautiful projects. Thanks for sharing them with us. I would restart Consider the Lilies. It looks beautiful as is, but I think you'd be more comfortable and more likely to stitch it in one strand of floss.

Whew, but worth it. You have some unique charts, like the owls, so, so adorable. Keep it coming. Looking forward to part two. Hugs to Grace.🪡🪡

Yes, I noticed a few were missing also. I don’t know if they didn’t upload correctly, or if Laura simply forgot to add them. Nice WIP parade though!
Consider the Lilies. Start over. You have had it since 2020 so start over. It is a large piece and you want to enjoy
The stitching.
