Psalm 150 tune was commissioned to write by John Rutter for Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002 and performed at St, Paul's Cathedral. London Ingland. Well conducted!
MrMusic1983: Rutter is not an atheist. What he said was he was not "particularly religious, but was deeply spiritual and inspired by the Scriptures." There is a huge difference between being "religious" and "Christian". Anyway, the music is what we are on this site for, not "religious" discussion. An inspiring musical work and beautiful performance.
@TamaDrummer5309 I think it's impossible separate sacred music with religious inspiration. The religious beliefs is the essential component of compositions as this.
For commentators like romansoldier123 who are not sure of the position of the Anglical Church - it is this: The Anglican Church is catholic as regards ministry and apostolic succession; it is Protestant in that it is a reformed church and as such has no truck with Rome, popes and things like that. In this regard, I would refer commentators to the 39 Articles and the Westminster Confession, esp. Article 37 of the former and ch25 p6 (I think - Of the Church) of the latter. Hope that clarifies.
i wonder how the three guys up above got their cues and cut offs. were they being directed from somewhere? could they see the director down at the bottom?
@MrMusic1983 of course. But you should not forget that the composer it's only a part of the music. In fact, here, the interpretation is basically focused in a religious liturgy (look the church), so, the purpose is spiritual. Sure, you can listen only the music, but this make you only a casual listener, who ignore the true spiritual dimension of the music.
ASTONISHING!!!
magnificent.

@MrMusic1983 : One could argue that many believers are actually atheists.
@ManuelRelativista Really? You do realise John Rutter is an Atheist, don't you?! This a well documented fact, admitted to by the composer himself.
People. the only requirement is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
See, I wish people could just appreciate this video for the music and not sit here and religion-bash. Chill out and listen to the music.
