Many Catholic churches employ High Church anthems for Offertory and Communion meditations. My own parish choir sings sacred music by Stanford quite frequently. If you miss this sort of sacred music, I encourage you to ask around - I'm sure there is a Catholic parish in your area that uses this sort of sung prayer.
Every singer is so beautifully engaged. Such beautiful, intelligent and expressive singing. And it’s standard that is upheld at Westminster Abbey day in day out, year in year out. James O’Donnell is a national treasure. If he hasn’t been knighted yet, I’d like to know why.
if they didn't want to do it they would not try and pass the audition, they are treated as professional from the age of 7 or so, and if you had ever sung in a cathedral choir you would appreciate the riches these boys recieve for a few years and education that enriches their lives whether or not the continue as musicans...
I really enjoy the music the Church of England produces, I am currently going to the Catholic Church but being in the US we dont have a huge Anglican Community and the Episcopalians have become to liberal for my liking. Thanks for uploading this great music!
There were several excellent men and boys choirs in the U.S. but most were attacked daily by the radical left. Ironically, it started with the wave that passed through the Catholic Church and festered in the Episcopal Chuch because we didn't have the authoritarian structure to enforce restrictions. This video is very similar to how I grew up.
I love the trebles's work! Too bad here in my country singing is regarded as girlish thing, so boys no longer take interesting in singing... More and more we see elder men e young women in composition of choirs... which is tragedy!
Absolutely transcendental. Quantum leap this is into eternity.

James O'Donnell hasn't been knighted because he's a narcissistic bully.
