I just got back from Georgia and it was amazing, the monasteries built into the mountains, walking around Tbilisi, drinking the best wine in the world. The people are so kind and proud, as they should be for preserving their culture through so many hard times in the past. I would love to go back.
We absolutely love Georgia, and have been fortunate to have visited many times. My wife and I (we are both Australians) decided to get married in Tbilisi. The amazing nature, food, art, dance, wine and of course friendly people make this country truly unique and well worth visiting. Georgians are a justifiably very proud people, and like many other countries, they have a rich and diverse culture and a history that is full of both tragic events and uplifting times. Visit when you can, and make sure you get out into the regions.

Totally agree, Georgia is amazing, but the recent national geographic articles have shone a light on such an undiscovered incredible country. I the last couple of years I have seen the tourist numbers increase not a bad thing to bring money and work into Georgia as long as it doesn't get spoilt.

This is by far one of the most beautiful countries I've ever seen, sadly never visited. Caucasus mountains of Georgia are as beautiful as Alps (the first European climbers were convinced that even more impressive) but are not as crowded and will provide you with solitude, peace and grandeur you will remember for years to come.

Caucasus mountains of Georgia are as beautiful as Alps (the first European climbers were convinced that even more impressive) but are not as crowded and will provide you with solitude, peace and grandeur you will remember for years to come.
That's why I want to go-- would absolutely love to go to the Alps too, but I'm more interested in Georgia because of the fascinating culture and more unique geography. I also want to eat the food so much! Lol
