Thanks for that Video! (I'm the person who made the guide of the first build) This shows me how some players actually follow builds (SOFTCORE!) which in return helps me to clarify certain things as a new content creator. Every league, I rebuild most of my characters to see if they still work in endgame. The Cobra Lash Poison Assassin only had problems in A8 t14+ maps when inside Delirium while I tested it (100 Chaos gear) but anything else was fine for such low investment - UElder, Sirus A8, All Conquerors, 83 Delve Bosses, full Simulacrum (that was the only harder thing). And you are absolutely correct - the Life on this build is *****. Most of the defense comes from ev/dodge/chill or by evading mechanics yourself through quick movement. And this is where I believe I went wrong in the build - the build itself is not good if it requires an above average experienced playstyle to clear all content with ease. This video enlightened me that new players that are in their second or third league are most likely still learning a lot of stuff in PoE which in return means that only because I steamroll the game on a build doesn't mean every player can do the same. I learned a lot being that heavily criticised for a build. Thanks! And btw, if you apply Wither Debuff the damage will be above 3m on the gear you've seen. And Perfect Agony + Coralito is because you won't have permanent flasks against some bosses which would in return mean you lose a lot of dps in most important times without the allocation of Perfect Agony (which I also explain in the guide).
@Joshua Holmes Doesn't matter how you made the build or me look, as long as both of us (and hopefully others) learned something. Ziz is right with saying the build isn't the best for Delirium Endgame. But when it comes down to paying less than 1 ex I think it's still not bad. ;) Edit: Oh and btw, I changed some things within the PoB (same pastebin link as before, not sure if allowed to post it here) to have a more tanky character with the drawback of less damage and added item / gem setup choices if you want to spend a bit more currency.
Hey Ziz!!! In PoB, go to options and click "sidebar" for "Show thousands separators in:" This will save you counting numbers to see if dps is in the millions etc
Corralito's is like mandatory for that build as an Assassin. It saves you like 10 passives so you don't have to go get perfect agony. Life is notoriously hard to get on those builds historically, but 152% is the minimum but you're stacking mitigation with evasion, dodge and in some cases block with Mistwall to cover it. It's a perfectly fine starter, I remember running in Legion and STRUGGLING to break 5.2k life at 92.
Yeah, Coralito's in general is an insanely good Flask for what it is worth and is used on almost all poison builds. Gets your Crit Chance lucky, you get Perfect Agony and some extra chance to poison to save points, with pretty much no downside either, other than being a unique flask.
I disagree with you on taking swift killer over prolonged pain, and especially your reasoning(for awakener) as that's probably the place you would most benefit from swift killer but for general mapping I find the skill duration is too good to pass on. It's pretty much a choice between 20% or 16% more damage, except if you have another way to get frenzy charges it's suddenly 20% vs 4% and then just 30% increased damage and 16% cast speed vs 20% skill duration and 10% reduced dot damage. It's definitely not as clear cut a choice as you make it out to be. Gotta remember wither is also affected by skill duration so it give you a longer window to not drop your wither stacks.
Zizz, I have really been enjoying your content as I am getting back into this game... I appreciate the "fun at other's expense" motif you are indulging in here. Did it ever occur to you just to have a series where you are nice to people and help them with their builds? Maybe call it "Zizz does his best to not be cruel even though it defies his true nature"? I have to watch this show when I am alone, because my wife heard it one time and she was concerned that I might be evil. Like you. I feel like I used to be a nice person... but then I watched like ten episodes and now I am not so sure. I feel like I might like being a bad boy like you Zizz.
There are many people on poe.ninja with 3.5k life poison assasins but they use blade vortex and run at 200% ms without ever stopping. And they all use Corralito's.
"Recommending a build guide with 120% HP is insanity..." That is just the default for SC these days, where the punishments for death are so low, that people lose all sense of perspective. Which is why I like the idea that dying in map should close all portals to it. Still less of a punishment than HC, and people are incentivised to actually make sensible builds or clear lower tier maps.
How about no? Losing a portion of XP in the endgame is already punishing enough. It would also be quite frustrating to get destroyed by special attacks from big bosses and not have another chance at it.
@@mikelezhnin8601 That is how Delve works already. There have be dealth penalties in the game, there currently really aren't. The exp penalty is a bit of a joke.
@@SnarkyLesbian I don't get the point of it. What you suggest is pretty much the same as "in the endgame you get into hardcore league". You basically say everyone should run best builds right from the start, which to me sounds like missing on a lot of fun in the game. Also, yes, in delve you got 1 try to do the thing, and no, that doesn't make delve any better. If anything, it makes me want to delve less and play maps more.
@@mikelezhnin8601 No, in Hardcore League you basically lose your character when you die. That is a gigantic difference. Imagine it like this right on the example of Dark Souls. You could either, when you die, replay the entire game from the beginning, or be resurrected in place another 5 times before you have to return to the nearest bonfire. Currently GGG balances around people dying a lot and makes horrible obtuse bosses, with this they could return to making interesting bosses, with at least some economic investment attatched to them, and skip of their weird one-shot dmg curve we had since 2.0. Deaths in SC mean absolutely nothing unless you die either at a race to lvl 100 (in which not losing the character is still a huge boon) or you die every 5 seconds, at which point you probably shouldn't progress to begin with. Losing the portals on death means that there can be a slightly more sensible economy on SC and people might actually care a tiny bit about building and learning about defenses. You know, actually learning the game BEFORE you farm ENDGAME.
@@SnarkyLesbian I come from the assumption the player is running suboptimal build and dies about once per map, which to me seems reasonable, especially in delirium. You say that if GGG were to punish people for deaths, they would be able to make bosses deal less explosive damage. First, it is more of a "have to" and not "able to", and second - I don't see how it would make boss fights "more interesting". It also would make players care even less about defences. You say "People might actually care a tiny bit about building and learning about defenses. You know, actually learning the game BEFORE you farm ENDGAME". This is ridiculous. How often do you watch walkthrough of a game before actually playing it? Imho it works this way - player gets though the game (more or less), and while doing so finds out that things hit hard. Then next time they invest some more into defences. Profit.
To be honest when I was new and first started I didn't know how good flasks were either. So its hard to blame people for not knowing how to roll their flasks. The game does nothing during levelling or anything like that to emphasise flask usage. it wasn't until I started watching streamers play and noticed how they were constantly mashing their flasks that I started incorporating flasks into my build and started caring about thier rolls and quality etc. After a while you develop muscle memory and get used to pushing button all the time and it becomes almost automatic but it feels really strange when you first start doing it. In my opinion design of utility flasks is one of worse things about PoE the game shouldn't be balance around constantly mashing buttons on keyboard. I hope on PoE2 they do something to rebalance flasks.
I dont understand the people with budgets like 1ex even with the worst build you can just farm for an hour or 2 and double triple quadruple your budget
Dont follow the Mathil build for cobra its also shit. It goes daggers which is just worst than claws, it has the same life problems, and also has fuck all deeps. Tried it myself last league and it was absolute dogshit. It was great at specifically blight encounters and that is it, no bossing, meh clearing, no life, bad top end, bad starter.
Im absolutely not going to track that youtuber down but that build looks like he just slapped on some junk from his uniques tab and called it a day I guess you have to start making builds somewhere i know my first build guilds was pretty meh but not quite that lol
What is up with some of the people who pay for roasts. They're like: level 88, I'm dying all the time, my build has hit a point where i don't know how to progress past t13 maps, blah blah blah, 2 exalts budget, character has 11 deaths... Like wtf? I'm sitting over here with a level 95 and over 100 exalts in budget, and almost 300 deaths...
Thanks for that Video! (I'm the person who made the guide of the first build)

Its not if u have went out of your way to recommend your viewers to take perfect agony at level 96 kappa

Im doing t16s without it with a rare chest with a 550 pdps Claw so no its not manditory neither id perfect agony
Ziz's weekly flask podcast is up
13:35 OH MY GOD the way his face just LIGHTS UP because he finally has a reason to roast him is fucking beautiful
The look in your eyes when you realised you were the potion master was incredible

Lmao. I sure hope this was in jest in your part.
Having Corona in your name is weird, either have it in your lungs or don't have it at all.
And now we know it effects every part of the human body :D
Your video splash art is using the metamorph logo. (Love the content).
The first one is funny cause I’ve used Carlitos in viper strike build that I got from Mathil before lol this was back in legion league.
There are many people on poe.ninja with 3.5k life poison assasins but they use blade vortex and run at 200% ms without ever stopping. And they all use Corralito's.
This tilte is genius ziz
the cobra lash dude should just reroll into poison bv, its way better, just follow gr0bbs guide

Feel ya but most of my deaths came learning most endgame bosses i needed 4 tries to kill sirius for the first time and still cant do it deathless
