I got this bag as soon as it came out. Been waiting to get it for over a year. GREAT backpack. I love it. Has velcro to keep the straps from dangling. Never saw a water bladder that small so I keep a piece of plastic foam padding in there to protect the bottom from setting bag on rocks. I keep forceps, needle noose pliers, small filet knife, a couple big zip locks. TOILET PAPER. 30' paracord for sometimes unsnagging gear, carry fish or tie to a tree as a hand hold. I also keep a water bottle/filter for dipping in river for a drink. I keep, head lamp and a lighter, little tube sun block. Good job Marlin !
I typically pack 3 rods I drift rod and 2 float rods.ive always over packed as well.tons of pre tied leaders, corky rigs, yarnies, beads,my corky box is my biggest asset tho,I'm old school and enjoy drift fishing.worms, jigs,Jensen eggs, several scents, gloves, pliers, knife and sharpener, scissors, baits, several spools of line....all terminal tackle, floats, hardware,a hand towel, man wipes 🤣 are a must have!! Head lamp and extra batteries, sun glasses.and don't forget your drinks and snacks 🤣,my backpack is much bigger then the addicted bag,I also have a burlap sack for my fish when I hike and a large trash bag and a few ziplocks for eggs.i think I covered about everything.oh and then my bag of smoke 🗣️💨 😂
You don't have a stringer, a gutting knife, .. those are something I keep in my cooler big ol addicted bag. 😮you might need like a pair of line snips boomerang.
No toilet paper. No spare polarized glasses. The dark ones are fine, but sometimes you need those low light glasses. A small pair of Binos. Beef jerky. Donuts. Those alcohol wipes for glasses. Spare gloves. A cord for phone and battery bank. Small dry bag.
Marlin, i really want one of those 25L bags. I am north of the border and it looks like Mustad only has the larger bag on their Canadian site. any chance you can get some of the 25L available on the Canadian Mustad site? either that or i am grabbing one from your site next time you do a free shipping sale :P
I carry similar, alot less spoons though. I have 1 more box full of plugs (most are old school from my dad) to run on a side planer. Have had many fish on this year using my side planer.
Love your tutorial vids...got me back into fishing. I was just getting my bag together the other day, all good info to have and pointed out some things I didn't have stocked.
Here's one for ya .. Just pulled my 17 foot mirror craft boat out. Getting ready to go catch some walleye on lake Roosevelt. Has a 75 horse mariner with a 9.9 Johnston kicker. Put rabbit ears on fired it up no water peeing out of the water jacket. Shut it down pulled the hood off found bugs had made some nest up the water jacket this is the third time I found this. Costly mistake if you don't catch it I'm time.
I am an overpacker as well. Been trying to downsize because ive noticed theres certain things ill never touch in my bag. Bank fishing gets exhausting when your bag is 40lbs lol. A roll of coil lead and lead post pliers is a must for me. Saves having to carry so many different size weights.
The eggs you show at the beginning, just an FYI if your from oregon, rubber worms/eggs are considered bait, scent is not. So you still cant use rubber beads where bait is not allowed.
for winter run fishing i usually have a handwarmer and headlamp. i also always have a roll of TP in my backpack... don't ask me why. oh, and a fish whistle. never catch me heading to the river without a fish whistle
oh, there is also a spare pair of rod wraps in the box at all times too just like Nolan said. i have an uncanny ability to lose them. maybe related to the fish whistle somehow...
Always love your videos! I actually caught my very first steelhead with that exact worm that you have on the front of your back pack 🤩 I pack my back pack the same but I do carry my addicted bonker and have my filet knife with me.
But I always end up putting canned corn in my backpack and carp fishing instead LOL. There are actually steelhead about an hour away from where I live.

Can't believe you don't have a healthy supply of twitching jigs in the bag. They work for everything

What size water bladder do you use with it. I just ordered one of the backpacks
I've got all the gear that you said I need Now I just need to make it to the river.
Hey Marlin! Where/how do I get my hands on a Helios baitcaster in a left hand retrieve? I can’t find em anywhere! Any help is appreciated
That guy packs his bag like a caveman and I’m all for it 😂
Marlin , Have Mustad make some Si-wash hooks in 6,4,2 size so I quit killing fish with too big of hook . Thanks ,Tim
How would you
use that net when fishing alone you guys need to come up with one for the solo fisherman..love your content keep up the great work
Check Sportsmans. They have short landing nets - awful colors though.
Forgot to mention snacks, first aid kit, bonker
I love it, 99 times out of 10😂
Bro! U need to have some TP.. forget that and it could potentially ruin your day fishing
Awesome fish at the end right on Nolan 🤘
Thank you!
I’m set my up now

Funny to see how many bead u got bro. Just few years ago y hated them and said lots of silly about them. Ha ha. They work way better than worms 🤪🤓
Worms shined today! But definitely beads work, I use them, still hate them! 😂
