I spend all night hitting Refresh usually falling asleep with phone in my hand. As it slips out of my hand it hits all kinds of blocks. When I wake up I have to Forfeit all the horrible blocks my hand touched LOL due to many forfeits I don’t see good blocks. Well Praise God! They are sending me really great Reserved blocks. And finally during the 4-5am start that Iike!!!!
I'm in Los Angeles. That's been me for the last few weeks. I feel like a dope fein and quite honestly not getting I'm proper sleep anymore.
I remember that building as I visited there a couple times for visiting one of the teams in amazon and doing a site walk to see the delivery station for DSP and Flex.

I’m here in St Louis, MO. There’s always blocks to work. But surges have not been happening like they used to. I used to be able schedule surged blocks all the time, but now it’s hard to get one. But I am glad to see you were able to catch a block 😊

The best blocks I see here in Chicago are during the 3-7 AM time usually around $30 per hour, but you have to keep refreshing endlessly lol, Question, what do you do when you finish the block early to go home? I can't remember, I know you already said it a couple of times.

What kind of cart did you get? I've been looking for a good one.. I do Amazon Flex, Walmart Spark, and I drive my vehicle for UPS during the holidays so I'm always transporting lots of packages around 😂
Sara!!!!! The problem to driving 49 miles to get to your fist delivery is after all done, you get to drive those 40 miles or more to get back home!!!! Who pays for the gas to come back????

Basically waiting on background check to finish so I'm doing some up front research. This is extremely helpful. Even if all i learned was that you dont know where it's gonna take you. That sucks but i guess i get it. People would scoop up all the short routes and leave the boonies if they got to pick.

I just started last week so i only get gravyyard shift the 3-6 6-9 onea and there are always four or more blocks everyday and if you wait till it gets a oit five hours from the block it goes up i rarely get anything below the eighties.... Like the other day i did 3 hours for 94.50... i have to get my points up i was told to see longer shifts like the four ones 😊
Hey new to channel, I’m on waiting list on Flex.
I started as a flex driver and became a full time driver for Amazon at one point. Amazon is the same as gig work during the summer very slow no packages due to people not ordering during the holidays
Probably just your market. I see multiple blocks everyday, several times a day in my area
My friend does Amazon flex/shipt and was able to completely quit her government job. It sounds like it's just your area

I can see one issue with going to so many different areas is that you don't build up local knowledge of the locations; as we know doing food delivery this is invaluable!
Yes I totally agree I'm rarely sent to the same area twice so basically I have no idea where I'm at!
Yep I did Amazon flex once. Was not happy with had no idea where I was going until I got to my first stop.

I had a block at 515am td for $130 got back to my house at 7:20am 15 packages 30 miles away every drop off was .2 miles from each other knocked of out quick

U should show a step-by-step tutorial with the phone screen shown the whole time. Yes, u will have to do a lot of bluring. I saw a DPS day in a life that showed the screen. It would help a lot 👍

Love your vids, great info. If a 3 hour shift is over and you have not finished delivering all of the packages, do you keep delivering or do you take the packages back to the warehouse? Also, after the last package is delivered, is there anything you have to do or do you just go home?
When your time is up you take the remaining back to the warehouse. If it's a lot you may get a ding on your account. Idk how that works but a few is ok. Yes after the last package you go home.
I though you had to finish delivering all the packages 🤦🏻♀️ so what you are saying is if you have a 4 hour block with 40 packages and that 4 hours is up and you still have 10 packages left you could just return the 10 packages to the wear house and make them unable to deliver?
Yes you return them all. Unless you want to keep going and I hear that if you call at the last drop off and explain that you just finished they will pay you extra.
@@guillegonzalez1460if you return those packages you will get limited from delivering. Just finish all the packages it’s not a big deal if you go over. You still only go get paid the amount said. Also the sorting work for neighborhoods you won’t know either.
I quit Flex in Bradenton, FL just over a yr ago, after 3+yrs. It got plain stupid!
I have 35yrs background delivery/logistics so I am not new to this. I had 2 injuries that simply didn't allow me to do Class A CDL Local work anymore. After you're away from it so long you can't get a job even driving a box truck, reguardless of 17yrs experience.
When I started it was good, was easily pulling 2-3 Blocks a day. Then they did mass hire of Sprinter Van Co Contractors. After that Blocks didn't start until maybe 1-3pm, usualy 4-6. Plus you'd end up in slow rolling line of cars for up to an hour. Many drivers doing their best to be at rear of line, because if they run out of routes you still got paid.
After mass hire all Blocks for personal cars were awful. Blocks not until 4-6pm, so you only got 1 a day. Blocks were furtherest away, drug areas, or getting 43 stops w/ 30some on deadend streets. Like USPS, they don't want Vans using reverse. Or your whole route is in Apartment/Condo Complexs walking up 2nd-3rd floors.
Even with all my experience, 3 different Co's wanted to hire me but they refused. Couldn't prove it but i know it's because I've had Workers Comp Claims dating back to 1985.
So your Block is ending 9-9:30pm. Forget taking back any return even if you finish by 8 because they're closed. I rarely had returns. Must return by 10AM next day. So you have to make a special trip. Granted, I was only 10-12 mins away but still..
One night I had a guy come out of house w/ gun in hand saying, "Whar the F!". Yes, was in high crime drug area. Only thing that slowed him was tripping on envelope at edge of doorframe. $81 a day max before expenses isn't worth risking my life! Plus warehouse turnover was crazy and they're pushing you. One employee got so nasty threatening me I had to file complaint. He just refused to stop running his mouth from far away and telling anyone that would listen that I was a "B".
I always had a good attitude and never should have had to deal w/ this. My rating stayed at 98% or better all 3+yrs.
When they suspended my Account, they locked me out of even regular Account.
I always packed envelopes on front seat A-Z, sm boxes on front floor A-Z and behind seats on floor, so I could reach behind seat most of the time. Med boxes on rear seat and lg in back.
You couldn't pay me enough to deal w/ all that again..
Hi Sara! Today I went on my first Amazon block, and I followed your steps on how to organize the packages. I was doing well with the first 12, but then I noticed that the 13th package was grayed out as if it was cancelled? It was confusing since I had already wrote my #s on the packages. After a few packages I got to the 27th, and I found out that the packages weren’t in order as I numbered them anymore? So I had to go searching through each package for each delivery. It was really frustrating. I’m debating if it’s even worth sorting them
out if this is bound to happen again? Has this ever happened to you before? Or anyone else? If so is this common with Amazon flex?
They not in order bc they probably split your route in half so what I do i when done loading I will look at the map and find the midpoint to the longest route and start there and go downwards then when I go downwards and finish the last stop afterward I move back to middle until I get to the fourth one. Then do the first through the third bc it usually be messed up to. I also always get finished an hour ahead of time by doing it this way. So anyways after you load and sort jus go to the middle of the delivery and start there.

I just put my pkgs in the order of my itinerary and usually finish at least an hour early.

Lots of people wait over a year to start. It has nothing to do with your background and everything to do with how many drivers are active in your area.

Hey I just started amazon flex, how do I get a amazon vest for my 1st deliveries. I'm in NJ BTW.
I tried Flex one time and will never do it again. I was sent downtown… during rush hour…. on a Friday…. during a sporting event. And some the packages were so heavy I couldn’t lift them. I returned all my packages to the warehouse.

Sometimes you drive s total back and forth 80/100 miles
in my area the only blocks that are available are at 3-6am😞
I jave been on the waitlist for 8 months in fort Lauderdale.
I was on the waitlist for about that long to in Delaware 2 months ago finally got the approval did all the onboarding background in 1 day background came back in two days and was able to pick up a block that day. It’s way better than Doordash lol

Flex is a hit or miss on each block. You can get lucky easy route but most times there will be a problem. It is just not worth it imo with all the uncertainty.
But deduct upfront gas cost, the $80 pay seems it will be much less for 4.5 hrs 🤔
But if this can be completed a hour less, then its worth it.

I get reserved blocks sent to me all week. 120-140 dollars for 3.5 to 4hr.

I live in CA but had to stop because they will send me on dessert dogs outside gates too dangerous takes 1 hour away my car will get flat tire and too much trouble the app makes you go around and around can't find the address so I stop not worth it
How do u know which package goes first and which goes last?
You scan the packages and it tells you each stop

Always have to keep checking the app because there are people using bots to take blocks they still haven't implemented the two step acceptance for blocks
@@jonathanrosa3916I've gotten a few $90 blocks for 3 hours I'm in Vegas. I don't know if this happened everywhere but for a couple weeks they implemented a two-step process to accept but it went away so I don't know if they were just testing it out or what but IDK they need to do something

Solo offers a paid Subscription with more perks. When you link your Gig accounts it can help calculate taxes on your earnings throughout the year. If automatically tracks Mileage and it has this Smart Scheduling that I mentioned with Guaranteed Earnings.
What happens when someone can not complete all deliveries within 4 hrs for a 4 hrs block?
You would have to return the package either after your shift or next day by 10:00 am

Nah I don't waste my time organizing box ....I just look for it scan it when I'm there at the house or drop off locations......it not that hard why waste time organizing 🤣

This channel has turned into nothing more than a Solo infomercial. This is the problem with you tube "gig" workers, they get monetized and then take the easy route.....ie....sponsorships.
