No body eats and cooks like the Nagas, for me they have the best cuisine in all of NE India. I am from Sivasagar, a district of Assam adjacent to Nagaland. Anytime I feel like having a sumptuous meal, I cross the border to Nagaland and have their food, so rustic, so original. Thank you for covering them in such a beautiful way.
I am from Mizoram. Nagaland, Mizoram, Philippine, share some common things in culture. Naga and Mizo are long known headhunters, same with Philippines....

Our tribe here in the Philippines has almost the same looks, culture and tradition like the Naga tribe. One of my dreams is to visit Naga land and find out the origin of my people. My tribe were also headhunters but changed by the Anglican American missionaries.
Quick correction: It's not the Naga tribe, but the Naga tribes. There are many tribes in Nagaland and we collectively call these tribes Naga. Te Naga tribes are not limited to Nagaland alone tho.

Yes,,,The Nagas, the Igorots of Phillipines and the Dayaks of Borneo have a lot of similarities in culture/tradition. I have also seen Igorot women wearing traditional attires which are 99% same as the ones worn by Naga women here in Nagaland.
I'm Naga too and I also think that most of my Naga brothers and sisters looks Filipino minus those who bury their face in makeup and try to look Korean😅

We all speak tibeto burmeli or sino tibeti languages . Eastern nepal tribes like rai limbu kiratis are near to north eastern tribes and tharu of terai nepal genetically closer to north eastern tribal dna samples

Nobody noticed the village contains quite a nice amount of quite old people, despite being living in so rugged terrain away from many hospitals and other facilities they survived that long, I mean it's all in the food. Love the part that they've very nature based diet.
I am an Assamese guy from Assam. And I must say Assamese have a close bond with our Naga brothers. In fact, we have also have a language to interact - Nagamese. Majority of Assamese people love Naga dishes specially Pork with Bamboo shoots & Pork with Akhuni.

India is like a mini world with its 29 state it's almost feels like 29 different country each state with its language and culture . It's like a bag of gems of different colours but packed in a single packet . Just like we all indians are packed . 😊
Unfortunately many people in the West don't realize this and group India as being one uniform thing, especially the food. There are groups in India that don't come anywhere NEAR Chicken Korma and Naan. Chicken Tikka Masala isn't even Indian.

Im from nagaland. Im just a youngster of the younger generation but Sonny exploring the places where alot of us haven't explored yet is an amusement to me too. With all the cultural diversity in our small State. People dont talk about it much but through your Documentaries we get to showcase this diverse Tribes. We may not have the sky scrapers and tall 30-40 story building but we got a lovely home with a unique History to tell our grandchildren ♥️

Just got back from Nagaland, and wow, what an experience! The people there are incredibly warm and welcoming. Tried some local food like smoked pork with bamboo shoots and even braved the super spicy Raja mircha. The culture is rich and vibrant; I was lucky enough to attend a traditional festival with amazing dances and music. Highly recommend visiting if you get the chance! 🌟

I met friends at work who are from Nagaland but not specifically from Longwa. She cooks food like this one. Simple and very tasty and their dried powdered ghost chili peppers is the best and spiciest that I can remember. We eat bamboo shoots too but the fermented one surely has a distinct flavor.❤ Will never get tired watching videos from this channel! Very creative and educational, it sets cultural literacy for us! I'm a total gun nut and I loved seeing them make black powder firearms from scratch, honestly with how hard percussion caps are to find in-stock these days I kinda want to see how they make theirs.
This saddens me that in a decade or so, hardly a couple from a handful will remain alive to tell their stories. These head hunters are such important living history. I really hope I can meet them someday soon and learn more about them. ❤
@@suzk1804alr so i am angami one of the Naga tribes i can't say this for other tribes cause im not sure but for us we call the time before the coming of Christianity as apfuotsa naa ( grandfather naa) and we use to worship this entities called terhuomia. For us terhuomia is a big brother and like any big brother if you've done wrong they would teach you a lesson but there are some terhuomias who are just bad in nature and so we have this gates called kharu in the village to protect us from intruders and the villagers would put food outside the gate for the spirits to eat there are lots of other rituals too.
@@gustar3548 terhuomia is supernatural entity, can be god. Whereas Big brother is Tiger. In the past, when hunters hear or sees the tiger, they say don't make noise our big brother is nearby.

I’m from Nagaland and my grandfather used to put on 4 head necklace. Unfortunately, he never accepted Christianity. You should visit other konyak villages like Changlangshu where they have good gunsmiths. Thank you for covering our Naga culture.
Nagas are the fearless tribe on earth,when provoke its very dangerous but when shown love it's the most peaceful people's on earth. Nagas love feast and enjoyed eating pork. Sunny must visit nagas in Manipur during March seed sowing festival so called "Luira" in Ukhrul district. You will have the best pork in your life.

Yes,,,The Nagas, the Igorots of Phillipines and the Dayaks of Borneo have a lot of similarities in culture/tradition. I have also seen Igorot women wearing traditional attires which are 99% same as the ones worn by Naga women here in Nagaland.

Nobody noticed the village contains quite a nice amount of quite old people, despite being living in so rugged terrain away from many hospitals and other facilities they survived that long, I mean it's all in the food. Love the part that they've very nature based diet.

Im from nagaland. Im just a youngster of the younger generation but Sonny exploring the places where alot of us haven't explored yet is an amusement to me too. With all the cultural diversity in our small State. People dont talk about it much but through your Documentaries we get to showcase this diverse Tribes. We may not have the sky scrapers and tall 30-40 story building but we got a lovely home with a unique History to tell our grandchildren ♥️

Just got back from Nagaland, and wow, what an experience! The people there are incredibly warm and welcoming. Tried some local food like smoked pork with bamboo shoots and even braved the super spicy Raja mircha. The culture is rich and vibrant; I was lucky enough to attend a traditional festival with amazing dances and music. Highly recommend visiting if you get the chance! 🌟

I met friends at work who are from Nagaland but not specifically from Longwa. She cooks food like this one. Simple and very tasty and their dried powdered ghost chili peppers is the best and spiciest that I can remember. We eat bamboo shoots too but the fermented one surely has a distinct flavor.❤ Will never get tired watching videos from this channel! Very creative and educational, it sets cultural literacy for us! @@suzk1804alr so i am angami one of the Naga tribes i can't say this for other tribes cause im not sure but for us we call the time before the coming of Christianity as apfuotsa naa ( grandfather naa) and we use to worship this entities called terhuomia. For us terhuomia is a big brother and like any big brother if you've done wrong they would teach you a lesson but there are some terhuomias who are just bad in nature and so we have this gates called kharu in the village to protect us from intruders and the villagers would put food outside the gate for the spirits to eat there are lots of other rituals too.

I’m from Nagaland and my grandfather used to put on 4 head necklace. Unfortunately, he never accepted Christianity.
You should visit other konyak villages like Changlangshu where they have good gunsmiths.

Nagas are the fearless tribe on earth,when provoke its very dangerous but when shown love it's the most peaceful people's on earth. Nagas love feast and enjoyed eating pork. Sunny must visit nagas in Manipur during March seed sowing festival so called "Luira" in Ukhrul district. You will have the best pork in your life.

Naga cuisine is very delicious, I am from South India. I stayed in Nagaland for more than one month. They get all types of masala flavours from natural ingredients. Taste is very good.
