- Great day at SHOOTOUT Time Attack at Streets of Willow CW.
Very different cars with extremely close lap times , this was fun third session with temperatures over 100f(38c) . During competition Mustang had best time , NC was just 0.150s faster than 350Z . Nothing in between those three cars on this technical track that suited lightweight Miata the most considering the weight of Nissan and Mustang being disadvantage in slow corners .
These are fun to watch, killer driving!
Thanks 👍
A typical track day where a well driven Miata catches others in the corners.
Luv’n ya vids…!!! Got my NC in right now replacing stock 2.0 with turbo 2.5…!!! Should be a riot…!!! 👍😂
Really fun video , great driving !
Absolutely love this! Great driving and very cool edit!
Great video, really good to watch👍. I'm curious how much your Miata weighs?🤔 I have a similar one, but in the road&track specification... I think it's time to reduce weight.😉
Thanks , car is 2350lbs with half tank of fuel . Lightest it ever was 2270lbs without aero, dashboard and oil cooler .
Nice driving...what mods to motor besides the 2.5 swap, what suspension and camber alignment settings do you run?
Engine only has stage 2 cams , MCS shocks with 10 and 6 springs . -3 front and -2.8 rear camber , 6.5 caster and 0 tow front , -0.12 tow rear .
Great vids from front, rear and other car. Are you running stock transm? any issues? I see your rev limiter is 6800 on the 2.5- is that just for safety? You were over 7000 in the 2.0. I got a buddy w/ a 350Z Champ car I'd like to hang with like you did. I need to swap and build a 2.5 for my '07 6spd.
Thanks , I tried to shift at 6800 but at some track it goes to 7500rpm not the best for 2.5 engine but it can survive it from time to time . Transmission usually last for 2 years (used NC1 ) before hub between 3rd and 4th cracks and breaks . That is all heavy track use , on the street and occasional track days it should be alright for long time .
Nice driving as always!!
What happened to the CAE Shifter?
It is in the box , I changed transmission and didn't put it back on. I do miss it , but Walter Motorsports spooked me that somehow it might be too strong for NC transmission and it could cause transmission failure . Doesn't sound logical to me at all but since I had few competitions I decided to see if there will be any diference in transmission longevity by using stock shifter .
