100% agree with you on part availability. I had an issue with my power steering pump and an even bigger issues sourcing the part. When I did find that part, it was hella $$$$ so we had to go with a newer pump and modifying it to make all the connections fit. Finding a HR in a junkyard is rare too so that's another downside of owning these cars. So an additional tip would be to source spare parts where ever you can, buy it,. and store it for later. As time goes on, less engine parts will be out there to be purchased (if found, they're just gonna be jacked up in price). Other than that, the rawness of these cars (when it comes to driver/car connection) is definitely an experience. I've owned/own a few of other commonly desired cars (92 SW20, 03 IS300, 16 435i, 97 Integra) and none of those beat the Z in driver experience (speaking from all the cars in their stock state). Actual racecar vibes. An idea for more videos (that I would love to see) would be HR/VHR part compatibility. As an owner of 2008 350Z, I love seeing information videos of Z33 HR's. If I'm being honest, I'm too lazy to do the research myself. LOL. Keep up the good work on the videos tho. Love the simplicity of the them. Just a HR owner recording HR shit.
Yeah I didn’t think about the part availability before I got my HR and I was a little stressed thinking about the future of my Z. But yeah sorry you actually had to go through the struggle! We just always gotta be prepared to spend time and money when it comes to replacing parts on our HR’s. I hope people read your comment to read a real experience and to read the tips you provided. Also really cool to read how you feel about the Z especially compared to the other cars you’ve experienced. I’ve always been into the Z and after owning mine, I absolutely love it. The only other car I can really say I’ve driven and experienced is a 2016 MX5, and I will admit it was very fun and go kart like, but the driving experience in the Z is something I can’t seem to get enough of. Thanks for your comment man! Also for all the video ideas! Definitely going to keep the informational videos going! I bought my 370z because I knew that car since it was 3years old. It turned out the biggest value for me was (beside the obvious things) that I can put a bicycle and 2 duffle bags into the trunk. I'm not gonna sell it ever. :)
I own a 2007 350z base manual just like yours! You are absolutely right about the 350z being more "raw." It's even more raw with a base model without traction control and other luxury additives. One thing that I didn't like that Nissan did to the 370z was take out the oil pressure gauge for a oil temp gauge. I feel as they did this on purpose knowing the gallery gasket issue that is on the hrs and pre-2014 370z. Overall, 350z all day. I will say, you should def swap the open diff out for a vlsd out from a higher trim as its a direct bolt in! Nice z man!
I got a 350 z 2007 does feel like a race car everytime I drive it I have to control myself. Mine is stock engine is powerful automatic I race my friend charger he got Diablo tune and that pedal commander said he making close to 400hp. Take off Z faster little trick I learned keep foot on brake and gas at same time at take giving a little gas take off foot of brake takes off like a rocket. I beat him at take off by a couple feet but he caught me in the end so a HR is nothing to sleep on

Tachometer redline on cars is not accurate. Need a dyno to see where the power falls off. My 3000GT SL had 7k redline on the tach, but dyno showed 6,300rpm is where the power fell off. So revving to 7k was stupid. I shifted it at 6k, but with my reaction time I might of shifted at 6,100. Don't trust a dash speedometer and tach for top speed, and redline. Sometimes manufacturers use the same gauges on different makes and models. My 1991 Ford Explorer got pulled over at 130mph, but the speedometer max speed said 85mph. So I couldn't tell how fast I was going. The 350z dyno graphs show max horsepower at 6,100rpm. So you need to shift at 6000rpm in a stock 350Z. A 370Z makes max horsepower at above 7,000rpm so you shift at 7k in a 370Z and 6k in a 350Z.
@Beebos I think I had my camera’s exposure and brightness changed a bit but nothing to major. Also I’ll be honest and say I’m not sure if my z has been repainted or not but I will say the paint is in good condition and looks great. It is the k51 carbon silver color.
