I have a mason jar full of marbles from the 1930-1940 era that belonged to my father (born 1926.) I’ve shown a few to a Facebook marbles group, and they were able to confirm the age of some of them. And since I doubt my dad was still playing with marbles as a teenager or while in college or the Air Force, I’m assuming that the majority of them are probably just as old. I haven’t been able to decide what to do with them, but this design is perfect! I love the idea of combining vintage marbles and wire wrapped pendants! Thank you Oxana! You always have the most unique designs, and your instructional videos are so easy to follow!
I’ve just begun my wire wrapping journey and I’m using silver plated wire but it doesn’t say what hardness it is. Not easy to work but I’m enjoying it anyway. Thank you for teaching me
Most plated wire I've worked with has a copper core and is dead soft, even if it doesn't say so. The exception would be something with a brass or stainless steel core. If you would like something on the softer side but still plated you could go with something that specifically says it has a copper core. And have fun! 👍
I was given a jar of green and pearl white marbles. I love this sturdy wrap. I even managed a save when I accidentally cut a support wire in my first try with sterling. Thanks for all of your side extra comments.
Love this one so much! I wrapped my first sphere years ago using a different tutorial with a similar design, but I really like how you explained the process step by step & I liked the final design on this one even more. Thank you again for another great tutorial Oxana !
Can i recommend buying a digital caliper. It makes measuring stones and beads so much easier, especially spherical stones. I also use mine to check my wire as most of mine aren't labelled, so i check the diameter to determine gauge (i only have access to small spools from spotlight at the moment as im cash and space strapped so don't have a dedicated wire working set up as yet)
theoretically it can be done with round wires, but just more difficult to do. Here's a tutorial where I used all round wires: ua-cam.com/video/0ZdiKFsLPgM/v-deo.html
Your videos are awesome, and so very clear. My videos are always so blurry, no matter what I do. Could you share with us your setup, especially the camera and lens? Thanks.
My video camera is a Panasonic HC-WXF1M and for my setup what I do is put my camera on a tripod by my kitchen window(as it provides good light) and so the white background in my videos is actually my kitchen cabinets. I can only film at certain times of the day when the lighting is good as I am relying on natural light from my window.
Absolutely love this! You do such a great job of explaining and show each step. Would it be possible to use round wire since I don’t have any square wire yet?

@@OxanaCraftsThank you for sharing the link. I greatly appreciate it. I absolutely love your tutorials. So helpful and you do such a great job of explaining.
That's really cool! For what I have in mind I'd rather not have any kind of decoration with the 4 non-bail wires. Any ideas how to make them subtley disappear?

Very sweet, and I love that I can fidget with the stone! 😉
Thank you!
A new twist on wrapping a marble. It looks really good. A bright idea😊 keep the goodness coming. be 😷⚒
Thank you! It was fun to brainstorm how to wrap a non-cabochon

Thank you. This is a beautiful piece and you explain how to craft it so patiently and clearly. ❤
Lovely work
You’re a super wrapper 💓Thank you for all of your videos. Wonderful idea
Thank you!
This piece looks so luxurious
Thank you!
Thank you, I have gobs of marbles I want to use in a mixed media project and this gives me ideas to attach them to the niche and not have to use glue!

yay! so glad this wrap worked out for you!
I really loved this one! Thank you sooo much, trying to find different round stone videos is hard. Love how you teach!💕
Thank you! I'll have another marble tutorial this weekend :)

Thank you, I'll look into it. The measurements of stones are not too important and if your stone a bit larger or smaller it will still work.
They come old school non-digital too. They're a little harder to use than the digital, but a lot easier than a ruler.
@@anyascelticcreations suggested digital as it is easier to read than the standard caliper. Those things were annoying in physics prac
@@cassandrakarpinski9416 Understandable. I suggested non-digital because that's what I bought because I'm poor. 😂
It's beautiful as always. Love your work 💞
Thank you!
Lovely! You are so amazingly creative! I love ❤ this! Thank you!
Thank you!
Really good explanation of your technique.
Thank you!
LOVE IT Oxana!!. 🙏🏼❤️

Love this idea!!!!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed :)
Lovely! I only have round wire, so I don’t think I can make this one

You can make the bail/top portion the way I did in this video: ua-cam.com/video/Vow-H5h7XDA/v-deo.html

مرحبا عزيزتي هل هذا حجر طبيعي ؟
I love this!! Very inspiring! Thanks! Will definitely try this, though I think I'll make mine look a bit more like a lightbulb. Bright idea! 🤣😉😂 -G
A lightbulb pendant would be very cool!
l realy like your videoes.I am from BANGLADESH, Where you are from?
Do you ever use nylon jaw pliers to pull / press on the wires to lessen marks, or do they not work as well?
They are great for straightening the wire, but large in size so hard to get into tiny spaces with them
There is also a dip you can put on tools to coat, but I have not personally tried it. Tool Magic is one of them…
I use "plasti-dip" to coat my tools @@virginiaconstantino3247
I like the work you do! How do you come up with the design?
Thank you! I usually just start playing with wire and eventually the design comes to me.
Beautiful! Can it be done with round wire?
Thank you, yes it can, for the thin wire I'd use 26 round and weave a pattern so it doesn't unravel
Can this be done with round wire?
I did come to find doing this with round wire is a nightmare.
So cute ❤️🇩🇰
Thank you!
thanks
You are welcome!
Is it ok to use 20 gauge wire instead of 21?
Yes that will work too
