I LOVE your owl design and watching your process! Thank you Oxana❣️ The “mistake” you were mentioning is called the Amish mistake. Many believe it’s a myth however a dear friend of mine grew up in an Amish community and, at least there, it is true. They ladies would intentionally make a mistake in their quits or knitting as a sign of humility and to acknowledge only God is perfect.
What an excellent tutorial. I've been making jewellery for twenty years, and use to sell it at ladies' coffee mornings, averaging around $1,500 a month. I'm getting older, (60), and I'm about to retire the coffee mornings, and sell online only. I find that the most popular sellers are double wire scrolls in different coloured wires, with a half centimetre faceted crystal, or faceted bead between each scroll. I haven't seen a more professional, in depth teaching class for decorative wire creations than yours. Well done!🙂🇦🇺
@@ourgeorgiasuburbanhomestea6309 Hi. I used to price them by how much work was entailed in making them, and what I used to make them. The piece that I was particularly proud of, was for a lady who said 'I'd like a purple necklace that I can wear to a special occasion at night.' Ok. So I bought a semi sticky product (haberdashery department forget name), that you can put things on and can peel them off. I brushed it onto a surface in the shape I wanted for an intricate necklace, that came from behind the back of the neck, down around the front, and went down about 4 inches from the throat. Then I literally spilled small gold beads, and beads of every shade of purple (lilac, mauve, lavender, amethyst etc) onto the slightly sticky surface. Lastly, filling in the gaps with heaps of crystals for the effect under lights. Everything was held secure on the surface. Then I wove fine gold wire around through every bead at least three times to secure them all together firmly. The migraine from hours of staring closely at the intricate work, was worth every minute just to see her face when she saw it. It was stunning, and looked amazing on her. It took two weeks to finish. She was happy to pay $300 (Aussie) dollars for it. She would never see anyone else wearing the same necklace. For a simple single strand necklace, it was usually $20 to $30 dollars, earrings with a pearl or crystal drop $15. Anything fancy or intricate $25 upward. Remembering that only one of whatever I created existed. Thank you for the comment.🙂

Love seeing this, my two favourite wirewrap creators together! Warms my heart 💕 thank you to both of you - I make and sell pieces today because of the wonderful things you both have taught me xx 💕💕💕
I used to watch you allot but then my life went in a different direction. But now I'm back and I see now refined your work has become. I love these owls! Thank you!
I have watched many video tutorials and this is by far the best I've seen so far. The speed at which you work, the clarity of your instructions and the finished product are all BRILLIANT!! I especially like the little explanations you give eg. the difference between using round wire or half round wire. Thank you for sharing - I look forward to watching many more of your videos and hope my attempts are somewhere as good as your results. Take care & keep safe.
Thank you, miss. You are an excellent teacher. You enjoy calmness and wonderful art. I follow all your wonderful lessons. We have a common proverb in life. Whoever taught me a craft, I would be his slave. I thank you very much, with appreciation and mutual respect. I inform you that some important tools for work are not available in my country, Syria, due to the ban from countries. Foreign to us, but I will look for it... Greetings to you from Syria, from Damascus, Jasmine, good luck to you.
These are absolutely brilliant! I am a bird enthusiast, with 4 pet birds and over 40 wild birds that I feed daily. I have never seen any bird wrapped pendants so I'm really excited about these! They're so cute!
I love so much your owls.🦉 You are very talented and explain very well step by step. I enjoy watching your tutorials sooo much! Keep up your beautiful work! 👍👍👍
I Absolutely Love them. I've been looking for a design for my 2 Granddaughter's {the 3rd Granddaughter is a little over 2 1/2 months old} Lol, and our 1 Grandson and this will be perfect for all 3 of them. I just Absolutely Love this design. Thank You so very much for sharing this with us. 💜💜💜
This is such a great video. You explain and demonstrate everything so well. It looks deceptively doable .. as someone new to wire wrapping, I failed miserably! :o) I think I need to walk before I run. I'm going to try a few simpler things and then return to give it another try later. Thanks so much. (edit - just a few days later, and with bail pliers, I did it! It's so cute - thanks)
My best friend likes and collects owls. I have both round and heart cabochons. I'll make her one of those. I like the thin beak on the piece, too, so I'll do that. Thanks!!
OXANA I have been dying to make this I think its adorable. Well I finally did a trial run on a clay cabochon I made for some jewelry a while back and it turned out pretty good not perfect but not bad for my first go... can't wait to try it with and actual cab. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
These are so cute! Thank you for another brilliant tutorial Oxana! I made one tonight, poor little guy is a little battered and ended up with a really short beak but at least he still resembles an owl...ish! 🦉
Hi Oxana! I've been watching you over 5 years and I love seeing your channel grow like it has! You're a wonderful teacher and artist! Also.... the name of the 1st stone you showed is called "hypersthene". It may have a trade name of feather jasper. Just thought I'd share that with you.
Loved watching this. You have mentioned that the copper has been oxidised? What do you mean by this please? Why is it important to do that? How do you oxidise ? Sorry for all the questions 😅
I have made 2 of these little guys not and love them, first one was a little rough looking (I think my stone was to small, but the 2nd one I was very pleased with - Thank you
I absolutely love your owl tutorial. Could it be possible to use square wire for this tutorial? I think this is by far my favorite tutorial so far. Thanks for sharing.💜💜💜

Thank you! I heard it is also a Navajo weaving tradition where a mistake is purposely made so the spirit can escape the confines of the rug.
