Thank you for showing how elegant a necklace may look just using a round wire! I really appreciate you doing this video! Definitely going to try it out!
Maybe you can try making those pieces with roundwire… basically the only thing you're not able to do is twist the round wire like you can't the square wire… it may or may not be a problem you could always substitute some other pattern like swirls.. I love love love Oksana's stuff but I tell you what I don't mind doing what she shows me in round wire because she has such gorgeous designs we're just designs thank you Oxsana for all you give!
Square and half round wire with a polished stone, is a fun project. Round wire with a polished stone, ups the frustration level quite a bit. It's like trying to stack marbles. It's a beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing. Be safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
Thank you for the heads up regarding round wire and half round wire - until today I couldn't work out why I had so much trouble with it when others made it look so easy. X
Thank you so much!! I love the original version you created...but I don't particularly enjoy working with square wire. This is perfect!! Can't wait to try this!!
Thank you for doing this with the round wire!!! I had such a hard time using the square wire abs switched over to round. Yet even with round I couldn’t get a good grip on the stone. The weaving makes a huge difference. Thank you. I love y out r videos and I’m a huge fan but this one I truly love! Thanks again.
I have been watching tour videos and have tried a couple and was actually able to accomplish it with good results (for a newbie). I have been searching the internet, UA-cam etc and finally found this design and it is THE ONE! I cannot wait to try it! I really admire your work and it means alot that you are so gracious and wiling to work hard on helping others learn this craft! Thank you! ♥️♥️
I have been enjoying your tutorials and I have been trying to do similar wraps on oval beach stones that I collected and tumbled. Thanks for being a great guide as I experiment with wire wrapping.
Ahhh thank you, I've been waiting and hoping you'd post a tutorial like this using round wire for so long! Don't have access to square or half round so this is a game changer for me. 🙏🏻❤❤
🥰🥰🥰 LIKE YOU, I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO HALF ROUND OR SQUARE WIRE EITHER, I HAVE THOUGHT THAT MAYBE IF I FOUND A COUPLE OF SQUARE PIECES OF THIN METAL OR WASHERS (when I was able to get to the big city) THAT I COULD PUT THE ROUND WIRE BETWEEN THE WASHERS AND HAMMER A FLAT SIDE (for the times I needed flat wire but wasn't going to be going to the "big city") IF YOU TRY THIS BEFORE I CAN AND IT WORKS LET ME KNOW, OK👍👍
All I had was round wire so this is how I did it after watching your other video....and here you already have a video showing the exact thing! LOL, I had no idea. So cool!
Another beautiful pendant from the mind of an artist. You are right round wire is much more slippery and fiddly but even with the same basic design it is a different look. My wife said she thinks this one is more feminine looking and I of course immediately agreed. Thank you for sharing your time and abundant talent. Be happy, safe and stay healthy. 😷⚒
Thank you!! While I just ordered my first half round copper, I have a bunch of various copper and sterling round and really wanted to start playing around with creating these so thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to create such elegant beautiful work using easy to come by supplies!
Thank you for mentioning ALL the problems with that round wire. As a creator myself, I go thru alot of wire due to it slipping and not holding the stones in place. I personally can't stand it but not everyone likes Copper and that's the only square wire I can get. I recently ran into a lil bit Silver Square Wire but it's just not enough to do what I need with everything. Thanks for your tutorial 😊 they really do Help.
I worked this wrap with you 😱! You did a wonderful tutorial…that I must try again. I could create videos of the reality of learning vs a polished wrapper. I would have to find a laugh track or maybe mocking play by play! All kidding aside, beautiful design thank you for sharing. I am hopping back on the wire horse, to work out my kinks! ✌️❤️
Going to prep 2night and try this 2morrow on some teardrop jasper.Just ordered my first square and 1/2round wire.Major respect from Minnesota,US. You help me want to be better.10:00 p.m.
Hi Oxana, I love your tutorials and I've tried this one today. It didn't turned out perfect as yours, but it still worked out well. I did wire work with brass wire and opalite...and it was really slidy. I don't know how you do it! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻🧡❤️💙
Thank you for showing us your lovely skills and sharing your ideas and talking us through the process. I live in Scotland and square wire seems quite hard to find.
a huge THANK you from the bottom of my heart for anything you upload! it has helped me understand and improve my technique in wire wrapping, it's the only thing that allows me to make some money in this situation. I wish you the best and hope i will soon be able to support your work too
Pretty cool. I make cabochons if you need a special stone. I can make any shape or size. Any stone as well. I have quartz, opals, chalcedony. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for this. I know it's an older video, but it's seemingly impossible to get 1/2 round wire for reasonable prices these days, and when I do find it, it's not the gauge I need, or the type of metal. Copper, yes. Brass? Forget it. I'm just a hobbyist, so no wholesale for me, round is a lot easier to find.
Hello Oxana I get my square and round wire here in Australia from Inspire with wire and also from A & E metals in Sydney both have online stores. For anyone interested in treated copper wire that doesn't discolour I get that from Jaycar Electronics. Hope this helps
Just wanted to Thank you for this tutorial with Round Wire ,because of it I was able to put a twist of Your Talent in this piece I made today! ❤️ Thank you so much, only been doing wired jewelry for bout 5mths ,love the Art of wire n their Designers well I wanted to show you but dnt know how to get the pic from clipboard to paste or send sry was so excited to show u
Glad you were able to make a pendant using this tutorial. There's no way to add a pic on here, but if you are on Instagram you can tag me in your pic there so I'll see it, my Instagram name is Oxana124
Your videos are amazing! This is exactly what I was looking for!!! Deeply sincerely wish you achievement of high skill in your business and happiness in life!
I have been following you for over 5 years now and I had no idea that you lived in Australia! You don't sound at all like your Australian😳❤😘 but I just thought I'd tell you that😘
Hi, I just started wire wrapping and your videos are VERY helpful. I have a question, I'm using 20 gauge round copper wire and I'm having trouble with bending the wire and keeping it straight, keeping the wires together, can you give me any help? Thanks...
It can be tricky, but with practice it will get easier, I also like to run my wires through some cloth to straighten them before working, this will help them line up together better.
Hi. Finding your tutorials so well organized with lots of hints and tips as you are working. I am wondering about dead soft wire - does it need to be hardened to keep the shapes you are making?
Your wire looks so soft and easy to work with 😩 the only wire available where I live is round wire and it does not look as soft. It was really discouraging trying wire wrapping like this and the wires were just all over the place. Trying to get them straight was a nightmare. But thank you for this video! I didn't know you had to work differently with round wire
We struggle to find any other wire than round here in the United Kingdom aswell. I did find one place that sold it, but it's really expensive, because of this I usually only have round wire.
Loved this oval pendant design. Wondering which would be easier to use for this design, the square wire or the half round or the plain round copper wire ? Please advise as this will be my very first try at this type of work.
I usually give measurements in each video I do(in this one I cut the base wires to be 11 inches long), so you can just cut same length as I do. I try to overestimate so even if your stone is a bit bigger it should still be adequate wire length.
That looks so pretty! By the way, where do you find all the moonstone cabochons? I love moonstone, but I can't find any of the sizes that you have for an affordable price.
ebay and etsy are great, just search for "grey moonstone cabochon" and you should find some. They are generally $10 or less for a stone like in this tutorial
Love this design because the bead is not overpowered by wire and it allows the bead to show.
Thank you Oxana for your unselfish sharing of your wonderful talent. Your work is as beautiful as you!
Thank you so much!
I made it!!!!! Yay!!!! Thanks Oxana! Its an OXANA TWIST!!!!
Thank you for showing how elegant a necklace may look just using a round wire! I really appreciate you doing this video! Definitely going to try it out!
This is one of my favorites too. But my real favs are your weaves. You ROCK there! This bottom is a great example.
You are such an artist that all we can do is try to imitate your work. I’m going to give this one a try.
This is such an elegant design and you made it look so easy!
Thank you so much, I would love to see other videos with the round wire as we can't get it here in NZ either.
Round wire is hard after working with square. You make it do-able. Thank you for a super demo!!

lovely work . and right about flat wires I cant find flat wires in India searched a log but no luck. thanks for the round wires tutorial...❤❤❤

I find brass a bit trickier to work with as it is very firm, dead soft copper tends to be softer and more flexible
You have the best tutorials I made one that looks just like this with aquamarine
Very nice 👍 yes I live in small town USA VT and I can barely even find round wire let alone any specialty wire 😂.
Thank you for showing us your lovely skills and sharing your ideas and talking us through the process. I live in Scotland and square wire seems quite hard to find.
You are very welcome! It is hard to find here in Australia as well, so I have to order it from USA
Thank you again Oxana! So much fun! And gorgeous!
You really make it look so easy! I can't wait to try this with my Sanora Sunrise stone 💯❣
Such a wonderful design! You've done it again!
Thank you for a wonderful design. I've just been searching for ideas to do with my nipona marcasite stone. This is just perfect. I love it!

So sophisticated! But how to maintain the colour of copper wire and prevent it from oxidizing?
They have various sealants you could try. I like the dark look when it is oxidized

My wire is called "dead-soft" but there is also a type called "half-hard" which is probably what you have, it is much harder to bend.
@@OxanaCrafts Oh thank you! I was wondering what "dead soft" meant as I haven't heard about it in my language (swedish) 😅
Thank you so much for your awesome tutorials!
I’m working on this using titanium wire. Feel like I need to reinforce the middle part of the 4 wires on center of my cab

if you have access to square and half round, I found those easier to use than the round.
Brave, beautifull perfict and attractive, i wil must try, your voice is nice, i enjoying your voice when you talking, thank you,
Trying this for the first time, I apologize if you've answered this many times before. How do you determine how much base wire to cut?
I usually give measurements in each video I do(in this one I cut the base wires to be 11 inches long), so you can just cut same length as I do. I try to overestimate so even if your stone is a bit bigger it should still be adequate wire length.
Beautiful
This is one of my favorite pieces but my stone wants to pop out to easy. How can I secure it better?
Thanks
Make sure the front most wires are on the domed part of the stone so they trap it in. If your stone is very thick you may need to use more base wires.
@@OxanaCrafts ah ok. Thank you!
I really like it, but how does the stone not slide around with that much space up top?
Because the frame gets more narrow at the top the stone is too wide to fit up there
@@OxanaCrafts Thank you! I'm still learning- does is jiggle around or anything though?
How do you get so straight wires? I try with my nylon pliers and also with a cotton cloth but they remain curved...
I use a cloth, not sure why it isn't working for you. Here's my video on using the cloth ua-cam.com/video/FVSK9B1xyWc/v-deo.html
Um like aqui do Brasil valeu.
