I have a Honda Amaze which came with goodyear tyres didn't last even 30k kms. 90% driven on bitumen roads and remaining in bad roads or concrete roads. Bought KENDA 175 65 R14 from amazon after reviews and research. There are some claims that branded tyres in india are costly due to tax structure and high manufacturing cost rather than quality. So far I am satisfied with the performance. I have a Civic too which had goodyear NCT5 TYRES lasted 8 years or 48k kms.
He is right. When I changed from bridgeston to Micheline and to Apolo i noticed all these changes. Micheline was more comfortable more fuel efficient (2km/ l diesel). Less braking distance compare to Apolo, bridgeston was equal in braking distance. More tyre milage is apolo and lowest is bridgeston. Silent is Micheline.

My scooter has 10000km and less than 2 years, the tyres have lot of tread life. But the tyre is SOOO HARD my god. Even braking slowly, it tries to skid, it skids when you corner at 30 kmph and jumps on smooth roads. No punctures ever, and uniform tread wear. I maintain correct air pressure, 29 when solo and 36 rarely when pillion. If someone gave me free 10inch Conta 350 tyres, I wouldnot take it. TVS tyres are like cheap local brand helmets, they save you from traffic challan, but there is nil safety. - Please include TVS's name in chinese tyres. - Buy MRF, Michelin, Apollo, CEAT - buy any brands, all are good tyres.

I am deeply obliged for the detailed information that you have shared, Thank you. I happned to put a used Ceat front tyre in my Unicorn bike today due to an emergency, given an option I wound not have done that but the situation was not in my favour. The mechanic used an old tyre tube cut to fit and cover the original MRF tube under the pretext of double safety this caught my attention but to no clue as to why he did this. I would request you to enlighten us about the technicality of the double tube used so that others can be educated from my mistake. Since then, I am unable to experience the bike ride which usually was smooth and balanced. The front tyre now feels heavy and unbalanced while riding. I am going to fix this issue now that I am in the safe zone by buying a new type to begin with.
i used mrf zlx which runs near about 125000 km which is more than michelin. new mrf series in car segment is better than any car tyre i.e. michelin bridgestone also. i recommend mrf in every segment of tyre range
