Hai sir, i have nexon xm with 6J steel wheels and 195/60/R16 tyres. Can i upgrade to 215/60/r16 tyres. Also suggest for kerala road conditions and weather which is better Yokohama earth or Conti UC6??

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  4 дні тому

Upsizing to 215/60 R16 on your Nexon XM with 6J steel wheels is generally not recommended.
      Due to following resons -
Potential for Rubbing: Upsizing to 215/60 R16 can increase the overall diameter of the tyre, potentially causing rubbing against the wheel arches, suspension components, or the bodywork during steering turns or while driving over bumps.
Strain on Components: The wider tyre can put additional stress on the suspension components and steering system.
Handling and Steering: Upsizing can affect steering feel and responsiveness.
For your Nexon XM with 6J steel wheels, sticking to the original 195/60 R16 size is generally the safest and most recommended option.
Yokohama Earth-1: strong wet grip, comfort, and fuel efficiency.
Continental UC6: excellent wet grip, handling, and a comfortable ride.
Michelin Primacy 4 ST: a balance of comfort, quietness, and excellent grip, including in wet conditions.
Bridgestone Turanza T005: comfortable ride with decent grip and fuel efficiency, suitable for Kerala's roads.

Hyundai Creta 1.6 Petrol 2018 focus on city and highway driving, -
      1. Michelin Primacy 4 ST:
      - Excellent wet grip and handling
      - Comfortable and quiet ride
      - Good fuel efficiency
      - Durable and long-lasting
      2. Bridgestone Turanza T005:
      - Comfortable and quiet ride
      - Good grip in wet and dry conditions
      - Decent fuel efficiency
      - Reliable brand with a strong reputation
      3. Continental ContiPremiumContact 6:
      - Excellent grip and handling
      - Comfortable and quiet ride

      @TrekBookIndia  9 місяців тому +2

Choosing tires for your 2009 Maruti Alto LX with a target life of 50,000 kilometers or 7 years depends on your driving conditions and priorities. Here are some suggestions considering both durability and brand availability in the Indian market:
Focus on Durability (for 50,000 km target life):
      - MRF ZVTV: A well-known option in India, known for its toughness and extended tread life. It might be a good choice if maximizing mileage is your top priority.
      - JK Tyre Ultima X-Plus: Another budget-friendly option known for its durability and good performance on Indian roads.
      - CEAT Securo Drive: A fuel-efficient tire from CEAT, offering decent durability for daily driving.
Balance of Durability and Comfort (for 50,000 km target life):
      - Michelin Energy XM2: A good balance between affordability, comfort, and extended tread life.
      - Bridgestone Duravis: Leans towards durability with a comfortable ride. It might be a good option if you encounter some rough roads occasionally.

Can you please suggest a good tyre for my i20, 2021 model, 195/55 R16. I prefer comfortable tyre, less noisy, durable tyres without hampering my average fuel economy. Currently installed are stock tyres CEAT, secura Drive, after 37000 km has started worn out and cracks are visible though tread are still decent for another 10k km.

Comfortable, quiet, and durable tyre for your Hyundai i20 -

      - Continental PremiumContact 6: Another premium option known for its quiet ride, comfort, and precise handling. It provides a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency.
      - Bridgestone Turanza T005: Offers a comfortable ride with good handling and fuel efficiency.
      Budget-Friendly Option:
      - MRF ZLX: A popular choice for its durability and affordability. However, it might not offer the same level of comfort and noise reduction as the premium options.

    सर जी नमस्कार मुझे eco sport 2017 टाइटेनियम मे टायर up gred करना है अभी 205/60/16 लगे है क्या मैं 205/65/16 या 215/60/16 और किस कंपनी का लू या पहले वाले ही साइज में रहने दू बताइए।🙏

      @TrekBookIndia  3 місяці тому

      नमस्ते!
      आपकी EcoSport 2017 के लिए टायर अपग्रेड करने की इच्छा समझ में आती है। आपने जो साइज़ पूछे हैं, वे सभी विकल्प हैं लेकिन प्रत्येक के अपने फायदे और नुकसान हैं।
      205/65/16:
      - फायदे:
      - अधिक ग्राउंड क्लीयरेंस: इससे खराब सड़कों पर आराम बढ़ता है।
      - बेहतर राइड कम्फर्ट: बड़ा साइज़ छोटे गड्ढों को बेहतर तरीके से अवशोषित करता है।
      - नुकसान:
      - माइलेज में थोड़ी कमी: बड़ा साइज़ थोड़ा अधिक घर्षण पैदा करता है।
      - हाई स्पीड पर थोड़ी कम स्थिरता: बड़ा साइज़ हाई स्पीड पर थोड़ा अधिक रोल कर सकता है।
      215/60/16:
      - फायदे:
      - बेहतर रोड ग्रिप: चौड़ा साइज़ अधिक सतह क्षेत्र को कवर करता है, जिससे बेहतर ग्रिप मिलती है।
      - बेहतर हैंडलिंग: चौड़ा साइज़ कार को सड़क पर अधिक स्थिर बनाता है।
      - नुकसान:
      - थोड़ा अधिक शोर: चौड़ा साइज़ थोड़ा अधिक रोड नॉइज़ पैदा कर सकता है।
      - माइलेज में थोड़ी कमी: बड़ा साइज़ थोड़ा अधिक घर्षण पैदा करता है।
      205/60/16 (मौजूदा साइज़):
      - फायदे:
      - कार कंपनी द्वारा अनुशंसित साइज़: इस साइज़ के लिए कार को डिज़ाइन किया गया है, इसलिए यह सबसे संतुलित विकल्प हो सकता है।
      - बेहतर माइलेज: छोटा साइज़ कम घर्षण पैदा करता है।
      - नुकसान:
      - खराब सड़कों पर कम आराम: छोटा साइज़ छोटे गड्ढों को उतना प्रभावी ढंग से अवशोषित नहीं करता है।
      किस कंपनी का टायर लें:
      - Continental UC6: एक बेहतरीन ऑल-सीजन टायर है जो विभिन्न परिस्थितियों में अच्छा प्रदर्शन करता है।
      - Michelin Primacy 4 ST: आराम, शांतता और उत्कृष्ट ग्रिप का संतुलन प्रदान करता है।
      - Bridgestone Turanza T005: आरामदायक सवारी, अच्छी ग्रिप और ईंधन दक्षता प्रदान करता है।

Which tyre do i put in my baleno alpha size r16?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  9 місяців тому +1

The stock tire size for Maruti Suzuki Baleno Alpha in R16 is most likely 195/55 R16.
      - Fuel Efficiency: If maximizing fuel economy is your top priority, consider tires known for low rolling resistance, like Michelin Energy XM2 or Bridgestone Ecopia EP150.
      - Comfort and Quiet Ride: For a smooth and quiet ride, options like Michelin Primacy 4+ or Continental PremiumContact 5 are popular choices.
      - Handling and Performance: If you prioritize handling and sporty performance, consider tires with a focus on these aspects, like Yokohama BluEarth AE-01 or Continental ContiSportContact 5.
      - Durability: For extended tread life, especially if you drive frequently, MRF Wanderer T77 or JK Tyre Ultima X-Plus are known for their durability.
      - All-Season Performance: If you encounter all weather conditions, choose tires with good wet and dry performance, like Michelin Primacy 4+ or Continental ContiSportContact 5.
Here's a quick summary based on common priorities:
      - Best Overall: Michelin Primacy 4+ (comfort, quietness, all-season performance)
      - Fuel Efficient: Michelin Energy XM2 or Bridgestone Ecopia EP150
      - Sporty Handling: Yokohama BluEarth AE-01 or Continental ContiSportContact 5
      - Durable: MRF Wanderer T77 or JK Tyre Ultima X-Plus

Very informative video, Mahesh Ji. Very well explained.
Do you have any take on Michelin tyres as well?
I'm considering to upgrade Virtus tyres (currently on CEAT stock tyres), and have narrowed down to 3
    1. Michelin Energy XM2+
    2. Michelin Primacy 4ST
    3. Yokohama Earth
The price difference between Michelin and Yokohama is around 3-4k each tyres. My main drive is in Hills and Highways (60:40). What is your take on this?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  9 днів тому

      Michelin Energy XM2+
      - Fuel Efficiency: A strong suit, making it a good choice for your highway driving.
      - Comfort: Offers a comfortable ride, absorbing road imperfections well.
      - Long-lasting: Known for its durability and long tread life.
      Michelin Primacy 4 ST
      - Wet Grip: Excels in wet conditions, providing enhanced safety and confidence.
      - Comfort: Offers a comfortable and quiet ride.
      - All-around Performance: A well-balanced tyre with good grip, handling, and fuel efficiency.
      Yokohama Earth-1
      - Fuel Efficiency: Designed with a focus on fuel economy.
      - Comfort: Provides a comfortable ride.
      - Durability: Known for its long-lasting tread life.
Given your focus on Hilly and Highway driving (60:40):
      - Michelin Primacy 4 ST might be the slightly better choice. Its superior wet grip will be beneficial in unpredictable weather conditions you might encounter in the hills.
      - If you prioritize wet grip and overall performance, the Michelin Primacy 4 ST is the recommended choice.
      - If the price difference is a major concern, the Michelin Energy XM2+ or Yokohama Earth-1 are still excellent options with strong fuel efficiency and comfort.

@@TrekBookIndia one last question Mahesh Ji.
Currently, car is on 205/55 R16 tyres. And I know many people who have recommended 215/55 R17. How do you see it? Is it advisable to go up in alloy size?
Also, what difference will be there with 205/65 R16 tyres (width increase). If you can explain it, that will be very helpful. Thankyou.

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  9 днів тому

      215/55 R17 and 205/65 R16 key dimensional differences:
      - Diameter:
      - 215/55 R17: Approximately 668mm
      - 205/65 R16: Approximately 673mm
      - The 205/65 R16 is slightly larger in diameter.
      - Width:
      - 215/55 R17: 215mm wide
      - 205/65 R16: 205mm wide
      - The 215/55 R17 is wider.
      - Sidewall Height:
      - 215/55 R17: 118.25mm
      - 205/65 R16: 133.25mm
      - The 205/65 R16 has a taller sidewall.
      Upgrading to 215/55 R17:
      - Pros:
      - Improved Handling: Larger wheels and wider tires generally provide better grip and handling, especially in corners.
      - Enhanced Aesthetics: 17-inch wheels can give your car a sportier and more stylish look.
      - Cons:
      - Potentially Harsher Ride: Larger wheels and tires can make the ride slightly stiffer and less comfortable, especially on rough roads.
      - Reduced Fuel Efficiency: Larger wheels and tires can slightly increase rolling resistance, potentially leading to a small decrease in fuel economy.
      - Increased Cost: 17-inch wheels and tires are generally more expensive than 16-inch options.
      - Potential Clearance Issues: Upgrading to 17-inch wheels might reduce ground clearance, potentially causing issues when driving over speed bumps or uneven surfaces.
      205/65 R16:
      - Pros:
      - Increased Ground Clearance: This size provides slightly more ground clearance compared to 205/55 R16, which can be beneficial in certain situations.
      - Softer Ride: The taller sidewall can provide a slightly more comfortable ride, absorbing road imperfections better.
      - Cons:
      - Potentially Slower Handling: The taller sidewall might slightly reduce responsiveness and handling compared to 205/55 R16.
      - Slightly Higher Rolling Resistance: This might slightly impact fuel efficiency.
      - For a balance of handling, comfort, and aesthetics: 215/55 R17 can be a good choice, but carefully consider the potential downsides mentioned above.
      - For a more comfortable ride and potentially better ground clearance: 205/65 R16 might be a better option.

For city driving on a budget, consider MRF or CEAT for their affordability and decent performance.
      - MRF's ZLX or CEAT's Milaze/FuelSmarrt are suitable choices offering good value for money.
      - If prioritizing comfort and durability, Michelin and Bridgestone are reliable options.
      - Michelin's Energy XM2 provides a smooth ride and long tread life, ideal for slow city driving.
      - Bridgestone's B290 or DriveGuard offer durability and performance for urban conditions.

Hello sir, 250/60/16 .....which brand should I use for breeza ?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  10 місяців тому +1

      - Compatibility Issues: The 250/60/16 tire size may lead to rubbing against fenders or other wheel well parts, potentially causing damage and affecting handling.
      - Performance Impact: The larger tire's increased weight and diameter can negatively influence handling, braking, fuel efficiency, and odometer accuracy.
      - Warranty Concerns: Using a non-stock tire size like 250/60/16 might void the car's warranty.
      - Recommended Brands in Stock Size (205/60 R16):
      - Michelin: Options such as the Primacy 4 ST or Energy XM2+ are renowned for comfort, handling, and durability.
      - Continental: Consider tires like the ContiPremiumContact 5 or ContiEcoContact UC6 for precise handling and performance.
      - Bridgestone: The Dueler H/P Sport and Ecopia EP422 Plus offer a good balance of features.
      - Yokohama: Choose the BluEarth-GT AE51 or Geolandar G055 for a comfortable ride and good grip.
      - Consultation Recommended: Always consult the owner's manual or a certified mechanic before purchasing tires to ensure compatibility with your Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza model and avoid potential issues.

Thanks for the information,, I think Yokohama tyres are good for hilly areas

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  10 місяців тому +1

You're partially right! Yokohama does offer tires suitable for hilly areas, but it depends on the specific type of Yokohama tire.
      1) Yokohama Geolandar Series: Tailored for SUVs and trucks, providing on-road and off-road capabilities.
      - Geolandar A/T (All-Terrain): Suitable for SUVs facing light off-road conditions like gravel roads or mild trails.
      - Geolandar M/T (Mud-Terrain): Offers aggressive tread for serious off-roading, less suited for everyday hilly driving.

      2) Yokohama BluEarth Winter: While not exclusive to hilly areas, this winter tire ensures traction in snow and cold weather conditions, beneficial in certain hilly regions.
      3) Yokohama ADVAN Sport: High-performance tire engineered for sporty handling on paved roads, less ideal for hilly off-road terrains.
      4) Yokohama BluEarth AE51: An all-season tire prioritizing comfort, quietness, and fuel efficiency, suitable for paved roads in hilly areas but not for off-roading.

Thanks for the useful information. I have Kia Seltos with one of the tyres recently got damaged and in need of replacement. I had Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 215/60 R17. Can you please suggest me which tyre should i get it replaced with. Im looking for good comfort and warranty (unconditional). Thanks in advance :)

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  10 місяців тому +1

Finding an unconditional warranty on tires is rare, as they typically cover defects in materials and workmanship, not wear and tear or road hazards. However, some manufacturers offer good warranties, and here are some suggestions for replacing your damaged Goodyear Assurance Triplemax on your Kia Seltos, focusing on comfort and strong warranties:
      - Comfort-Oriented Options:
      - Michelin Primacy 4 SUV: Renowned for its smooth ride, quiet operation, and extended tread life. Michelin provides a competitive warranty for their tires.
      - Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 SUV: Prioritizes comfort and low rolling resistance, potentially enhancing fuel efficiency. Bridgestone also offers a robust warranty program.
      - Yokohama BluEarth AE51 SUV: Strikes a balance between comfort, quietness, and excellent handling for year-round use. Yokohama warranties are widely recognized for their dependability.
If your current Assurance Triplemax tires are approaching the end of their lifespan, it's advisable to replace all four tires to maintain optimal performance and handling.

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 місяці тому

For long highway rides, both Yokohama Earth1 and Bridgestone Turanza T005 are excellent choices. However, considering your specific needs and the price difference, here's a breakdown to help you decide:
      Yokohama Earth1:
Pros:Known for its comfortable ride and fuel efficiency.
Good grip on both wet and dry roads.
      Offers a quieter ride.
      More budget-friendly option.
Cons:Might not offer the same level of high-speed stability as the Turanza T005.
      Bridgestone Turanza T005:
      Pros:Exceptional high-speed stability and handling.
Excellent grip on wet and dry roads.
      Quiet and comfortable ride.
Cons:Slightly more expensive than the Earth1.
      Recommendation:
If you prioritize a comfortable ride, fuel efficiency, and a good balance of performance, the Yokohama Earth1 is a great choice. It offers excellent value for the price and will perform well on long highway drives.
However, if you're willing to spend a little more and prioritize high-speed stability, handling, and overall performance, the Bridgestone Turanza T005 is the better option. It's a premium tyre that delivers exceptional performance on highways.

      @TrekBookIndia  20 днів тому

Since you're looking for the best possible tyre upgrade for your Baleno Sigma, prioritizing handling, comfort, braking, fuel efficiency, and low road noise, here are two excellent options to consider :
      1. Michelin Primacy 4 ST:
      - Exceptional All-rounder: Michelin Primacy 4 ST excels in almost all aspects you mentioned. It offers exceptional grip for confident handling in various conditions, a smooth and quiet ride for superior comfort, and impressive braking performance.
      - Fuel Efficiency: Michelin is known for its fuel-efficient tyres, and the Primacy 4 ST is no exception. It features a low rolling resistance design that helps improve gas mileage.
      - Brand Reputation: Michelin is a trusted brand renowned for its high-quality tyres and advanced technologies.
      2. Continental ContiSportContact 5:
      - Ultimate Handling: If handling is your absolute top priority, the ContiSportContact 5 might be the better choice. It delivers exceptional grip, precise steering response, and superior cornering stability, ideal for spirited driving.
      - Comfort and Noise Reduction: While prioritizing handling, Continental hasn't compromised on comfort. The tyre offers a comfortable ride and good noise reduction for a pleasant driving experience.
      - Balanced Performance: Although geared towards handling, the ContiSportContact 5 still provides good braking performance and decent fuel efficiency.
      Choosing Between the Two:
      - Focus on Handling: If handling is your absolute top priority, go with the Continental ContiSportContact 5.
      - Balanced Performance: If you value a balanced performance with excellent handling, comfort, braking, good fuel efficiency, and low noise, the Michelin Primacy 4 ST might be a better choice.
      Note :
      - Upsizing to 16 inches will likely affect your car's handling, ride quality, and fuel efficiency slightly. While minimal, these changes can be noticeable. Ensure you understand these potential trade-offs before upsizing.
      - Mileage variations happen due to various factors such as driving pattern, Road conditions, air pressures eyc
      - - tyre noise is highly subjective parameter, generally car interior design and NVH characteristics contribute more

@@jeevannanaiah1065 Yes, the all-terrain tires listed earlier can be suitable for your Hyundai Verna sedan class, even though they are typically designed for SUVs and trucks. Here's a breakdown of why they might work for you, considering your tire size of 185/65 R15:
Pros of Using All-Terrain Tires for Hyundai Verna (185/65 R15):
      1. Versatility: Handles various road conditions, including mud roads in Coorg.
      2. Availability: Options like Michelin Primacy SUV, Bridgestone Dueler H/T 687, and Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 are available in your size.
      Cons:
      1. Slightly Lower Fuel Efficiency: Compared to highway tires.
      2. Road Noise: Generates slightly more noise on highways.
Overall, while they offer versatility, consider the trade-offs in fuel efficiency and road noise.

Firestone is a well-established tyre brand known for its quality and durability.
In terms of durability, Firestone tyres are generally considered to be quite durable. However, the actual lifespan of a tyre can vary depending on factors such as driving habits, road conditions, and proper tyre maintenance.
To maximize the lifespan of your tyres, consider the following:
      - Regular Tyre Pressure Checks: Maintain the recommended tyre pressure to optimize performance and reduce wear.
      - Proper Wheel Alignment and Balancing: Regular alignment and balancing can help to prolong tyre life and improve handling.
      - Avoid Aggressive Driving: Excessive acceleration, braking, and cornering can accelerate tyre wear.
      - Rotate Tyres Regularly: Rotating your tyres can help to even out wear and tear.
Maruti Brezza VDI, for durability, comfort, and performance, especially considering your focus on long-lasting tyres:
      Good Value Options:
      - MRF Wanderer: A durable and affordable option, known for its performance on Indian roads.
      - CEAT SecuraDrive: Offers a good balance of comfort, grip, and durability at an affordable price.

      @TrekBookIndia  9 місяців тому

Here's a breakdown to help you decide on new tires for your Maruti Suzuki Celerio (165/70 R14) considering your situation:
      MRF ZVTV:
      - Pros: You're familiar with the ZVTV, known for its durability and affordability (might be a plus if you plan to keep the car for a while).
      - Cons: You've experienced three punctures in 6 years, which might be a concern. Additionally, the ZVTV might not offer the best comfort or fuel efficiency compared to some other options.
      Yokohama and Bridgestone:
      - Pros: Both Yokohama and Bridgestone offer a variety of tire options in your size that could provide better performance in terms of comfort, handling, or fuel efficiency compared to the ZVTV. They might also have improved puncture resistance.
      - Cons: Generally, these brands might be slightly more expensive than MRF.
      MRF ZLX:
      - Pros: An upgrade within the MRF brand, offering a better balance of performance compared to the ZVTV. It might provide some improvement in comfort, handling, and wet weather performance.
      - Cons: It might not be as puncture-resistant as some Yokohama or Bridgestone options, and it might not be the most fuel-efficient choice.
      Considering your situation:
      - Focus on City Driving: Since you mainly use the car in the city, prioritize comfort, fuel efficiency, and puncture resistance.
      - Occasional Road Trips: These factors remain important for occasional highway driving as well.
Here's a recommendation based on your situation:
      - Yokohama BluEarth AE-51: Offers a good balance of comfort, fuel efficiency, wet performance, and decent puncture resistance. It might be a good all-around choice for your driving needs.
      - Bridgestone Turanza T001: Similar to the Yokohama option, offering a balance of comfort, fuel efficiency, and all-season performance. It might be another good contender.
Remember: Even with puncture-resistant tires, proper tire maintenance (inflation checks and rotations) is crucial to minimize the risk of punctures.

Pros: These are both premium tire brands known for their exceptional performance in various aspects like comfort, handling, noise reduction, fuel efficiency, and puncture resistance. They often rank highly in tire reviews and tests.
Cons: They are generally the most expensive options among the ones you've considered.
      Considering your situation:
Since your primary focus is city driving with occasional road trips, prioritizing comfort, fuel efficiency, and puncture resistance remains key. While Continental and Michelin offer superior performance in these areas, they might not be the most cost-effective choice for your needs.

      Your Maruti Suzuki Dzire
      1. Upsizing vs. Stock Size:
      - Potential Benefits of Upsizing:
      - Improved ground clearance: Can help avoid damage from potholes and speed bumps.
      - Potentially better off-road capability (if you encounter such conditions).
      - Potential Drawbacks of Upsizing:
      - Increased rolling resistance: Can lead to slightly lower fuel efficiency.
      - Altered speedometer readings: The odometer might record slightly less mileage.
      - Possible handling changes: Upsizing can affect the car's handling characteristics.
Recommendation: Looking at your highway-focused driving, sticking to the stock tyre size is generally recommended. It ensures optimal performance, fuel efficiency, and handling for your car.

      - A reputable choice: JK Tyre is a well-known brand in India, and the Taximax is a popular option.

Upsizing Tyres for Your Tata Tigor: A Cautious Approach
Upsizing to 175/65 R15 or 185/60 R15 for your Tata Tigor can be a good choice to improve ground clearance and potentially enhance ride quality.
      Potential Benefits of Upsizing:
      - Increased Ground Clearance: This can help protect the underbody from damage on rough roads.
      - Improved Ride Comfort: Larger tyres can absorb road imperfections better, leading to a more comfortable ride.
      Potential Drawbacks:
      - Increased Fuel Consumption: Larger tyres can slightly increase rolling resistance, leading to higher fuel consumption.
      - Altered Steering Feel: Upsizing can slightly affect the steering feel and responsiveness of the car.
      - Wheel Well Clearance: Ensure that the larger tyres fit within the wheel wells without rubbing against the bodywork.
      Recommended Tyre Brands and Models:
Here are some excellent tyre options for your Tata Tigor in the 175/65 R15 or 185/60 R15 size:

      - Excellent handling and grip on highways, with a tough tread pattern for tackling broken roads and light off-roading.

      @TrekBookIndia  11 місяців тому

While the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure is a good starting point, it's generally not advisable to maintain the same pressure when upsizing or downsizing tires.
Upsizing may require slightly higher pressure for increased load capacity and firmer handling, while downsizing may need slightly lower pressure for decreased load capacity and a softer ride.
Adjusting pressure ensures safety, optimal handling, and comfort.
Consult load inflation tables or a tire professional for correct pressure recommendations. Prioritize safety and refer to your car's manual for specific guidance.

      - MRF Wanderer: Affordable with good grip but may lack comfort.
      Value and Comfort (₹4,000 - ₹5,000):
      - Yokohama BluEarth-GT AE51: Balanced comfort and handling, but less durable.
      - Bridgestone Turanza T001: Fuel-efficient and comfortable, with decent grip.
      Additional Tips:
      - Consider all-season tires for snow.
      - Check load index and speed rating.
      - Read online reviews and check warranty for peace of mind.
Consulting a tire professional can provide personalized recommendations based on your needs.

Sir can you suggest me tyre for santro xing , 2007 model, 155/70 r13. I prefer comfortable ride, less noisy and durable. I have already tried ceat and mrf tyres. But they are very uncomfortable specially at pathholes and uneven roads in rural area. And after 10k km ceat and mrf tyres start wobbling. And also I mostly travel in western Maharashtra with mixture of highway, city and rural, hilly drive. So recommend me comfortable and less noisy as well as durable. Thank you for this valuable informative video ❤

@@StyleEuphoria@StyleEuphoria Yes, the tyres I suggested (Michelin Energy XM2, MRF ZVTS, Apollo Alnac 4G, Goodyear Assurance TripleMax) would be suitable for hilly areas like Matheran or nearby places in Pune. These tyres are designed to provide good traction, grip, and handling, which are essential for driving in hilly terrain. They can handle inclines, declines, and winding roads effectively

Hi Sir, I have 185/60 r15 tyres on my polo, thinking to upgrade tyres for comfort and highway driving, should I go for 195/55 r16 or just 195/60 r15 will be good enough?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  3 місяці тому

The decision to upgrade from 185/60 R15 to 195/55 R15 or 195/60 R15 for your Volkswagen Polo depends on your priorities and driving habits. Here's a breakdown of the potential benefits and drawbacks of each option:
      195/55 R15:
      - Pros:
      - Maintains the original aspect ratio, preserving handling characteristics.
      - May offer slightly improved fuel efficiency compared to the wider 195/60 R15.
      - Less likely to rub against fenders or other components.
      - Cons:
      - Might not provide as much additional comfort or ground clearance as the 195/60 R15.
      195/60 R15:
      - Pros:
      - Provides a slightly taller sidewall, potentially improving comfort and ride quality.
      - May offer slightly better ground clearance for rougher roads.
      - Cons:
      - Could slightly affect handling and fuel efficiency compared to the stock size.
      - Might increase the risk of rubbing against fenders if the car is lowered or heavily loaded.
      Recommendations:
      - If comfort and a slightly taller sidewall are your priorities: Upgrading to 195/60 R15 might be a good option. However, be aware of the potential impact on handling and fuel efficiency.
      - If you prioritize handling and fuel efficiency: Sticking with the stock size of 185/60 R15 might be the better choice.
