MRF ZVTV is a great one for Indian roads. I have done 1.8L kms with my baleno and just replaced the 3rd set with same brand & model. 1st company fitted did 1L kms, 2nd set did 80K kms. It lasts long, gives great fuel efficiency and also great ride & handling**
(** I always use nitrogen and check refills every 15 days, also I do 5 tyre rotations at every 10K kms and that matters a lot)

Thanks for the useful information. I have Kia Seltos with one of the tyres recently got damaged and in need of replacement. I had Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 215/60 R17. Can you please suggest me which tyre should i get it replaced with. Im looking for good comfort and warranty (unconditional). Thanks in advance :)

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 місяці тому

Finding an unconditional warranty on tires is rare, as they typically cover defects in materials and workmanship, not wear and tear or road hazards. However, some manufacturers offer good warranties, and here are some suggestions for replacing your damaged Goodyear Assurance Triplemax on your Kia Seltos, focusing on comfort and strong warranties:
      - Comfort-Oriented Options:
      - Michelin Primacy 4 SUV: Renowned for its smooth ride, quiet operation, and extended tread life. Michelin provides a competitive warranty for their tires.
      - Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 SUV: Prioritizes comfort and low rolling resistance, potentially enhancing fuel efficiency. Bridgestone also offers a robust warranty program.
      - Yokohama BluEarth AE51 SUV: Strikes a balance between comfort, quietness, and excellent handling for year-round use. Yokohama warranties are widely recognized for their dependability.
If your current Assurance Triplemax tires are approaching the end of their lifespan, it's advisable to replace all four tires to maintain optimal performance and handling.

Which tyre do i put in my baleno alpha size r16?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  Місяць тому +1

The stock tire size for Maruti Suzuki Baleno Alpha in R16 is most likely 195/55 R16.
      - Fuel Efficiency: If maximizing fuel economy is your top priority, consider tires known for low rolling resistance, like Michelin Energy XM2 or Bridgestone Ecopia EP150.
      - Comfort and Quiet Ride: For a smooth and quiet ride, options like Michelin Primacy 4+ or Continental PremiumContact 5 are popular choices.
      - Handling and Performance: If you prioritize handling and sporty performance, consider tires with a focus on these aspects, like Yokohama BluEarth AE-01 or Continental ContiSportContact 5.
      - Durability: For extended tread life, especially if you drive frequently, MRF Wanderer T77 or JK Tyre Ultima X-Plus are known for their durability.
      - All-Season Performance: If you encounter all weather conditions, choose tires with good wet and dry performance, like Michelin Primacy 4+ or Continental ContiSportContact 5.
Here's a quick summary based on common priorities:
      - Best Overall: Michelin Primacy 4+ (comfort, quietness, all-season performance)
      - Fuel Efficient: Michelin Energy XM2 or Bridgestone Ecopia EP150
      - Sporty Handling: Yokohama BluEarth AE-01 or Continental ContiSportContact 5

      @TrekBookIndia  8 днів тому

There isn't a single "best" brand for tires on your 2018 Maruti Swift Dzire (165/80 R14) as the best choice depends on your priorities and driving habits.
Focusing on Value and All-Season Performance:
      - MRF ZLX: A well-regarded domestic brand offering a good balance of performance, durability, and affordability. It provides decent comfort, handling, and wet weather capability.
      - CEAT SecuraDrive: Another good budget option known for its balance and all-season performance. It offers decent comfort, handling, and wet weather grip.
Focusing on Comfort and Fuel Efficiency:
      - Michelin Energy XM2: A popular choice for these priorities. It offers a quiet and comfortable ride with good fuel efficiency.

What’s your thought on Yokohama S-drive and Continental UC6 tyres? Which one is best in handling and comfort?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  24 дні тому +1

      Yokohama S-drive:
      - Focus: These tires prioritize handling and performance. They feature a sportier tread pattern and stiffer sidewalls for better grip during cornering and responsiveness.
      - Handling: Yokohama S-drives are known for their excellent handling, making them a good choice for drivers who enjoy a more spirited driving experience.
      - Comfort: The stiffer sidewalls and sportier tread might translate to a slightly firmer ride compared to comfort-focused tires.
      Continental UC6:
      - Focus: These tires offer a balance of performance with an emphasis on comfort and all-season capability.
      - Handling: The UC6 provides decent handling for everyday driving, but it might not be as sharp or responsive as the S-drive in high-performance situations.
      - Comfort: The UC6 prioritizes a smoother and quieter ride due to its softer compound and tread design.
      In a nutshell:
      - For the best handling: Yokohama S-drive is the clear winner.
      - For a balance of comfort and handling: Continental UC6 is a better choice.

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  Місяць тому

Tires for your Mahindra Scorpio N (18 inch) with 75% highway and 25% off-road driving:
      - All-Terrain Tires:
These tires offer a good balance of on-road comfort and off-road capability, making them ideal for your driving mix.
      Here are some good options:
      - Bridgestone Dueler A/T 001: Known for durability, off-road traction, and decent on-road handling.
      - Goodyear Wrangler Adventure AT/S: [Image of Goodyear Wrangler Adventure AT/S tire] Offers a balance of all-weather performance, off-road grip, and highway comfort.
      - Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015: Provides a comfortable ride on-road and good traction on loose surfaces.
Dealers in Pimpri who might buy back your 17 inch alloys and tires:
Finding dealers who specifically offer buybacks on new tires and alloys can be tricky. However, here are some general tire dealers in Pimpri you can contact to inquire about buyback options:
      - Pandit Tyres: (www.pandit.com/) They have a wide range of tires and might be willing to negotiate a buyback on your new 17-inch setup.
      - Popular Tyre House: (www.google.com/mymaps/viewer?mid=1Gtja8OJ3Blb1Vs5VRs9nF8wnva8&hl=en_US) This dealer is known for its competitive prices and might consider your buyback offer.
      - Supreme Wheels: (www.google.com/mymaps/viewer?mid=1fR0AANARz2KhGQWdDaDokjVkFlw&hl=en_US) They offer various tire brands and might be interested in a buyback deal.
Disclaimer: I am not connected to any of above dealers by any means. It's always best to call these dealers directly and inquire about their specific buyback policies and pricing for your current 17-inch wheels and tires. Be sure to mention that the tires and alloys are new and unused.
All above are not to be considered as professional advice. Consult your dealer for tyres.

Sir maine subscribe kar diya hai aapka chanel.
    Tata nexon 215/60R16
Highway par jyada wet road pe bhi jyada driving karta hu.
Directional or asymmetrical konsa lagana chahiye..
    Brand aur model bata dijiye

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  Місяць тому

      ## Tata Nexon ke liye Highway aur Wet Road par achchhe tyre:
Directional tyre aur asymmetrical tyre dono hi aapke liye achchhe ho sakte hain.
      Directional tyre:

@@jeevannanaiah1065 Yes, the all-terrain tires listed earlier can be suitable for your Hyundai Verna sedan class, even though they are typically designed for SUVs and trucks. Here's a breakdown of why they might work for you, considering your tire size of 185/65 R15:
Pros of Using All-Terrain Tires for Hyundai Verna (185/65 R15):
      1. Versatility: Handles various road conditions, including mud roads in Coorg.
      2. Availability: Options like Michelin Primacy SUV, Bridgestone Dueler H/T 687, and Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 are available in your size.

      2. Road Noise: Generates slightly more noise on highways.
Overall, while they offer versatility, consider the trade-offs in fuel efficiency and road noise.

Both Bridgestone and Goodyear are reputable tire brands offering good options for your 2012 Ford Figo. Here's a breakdown to help you decide which might be best for you in the Hyderabad area:
      Factors to Consider:
      - Your Driving Needs:
      - Focus on Comfort and Everyday Driving: If you prioritize a smooth ride and everyday city use, consider touring tires from either brand like Bridgestone Turanza or Goodyear Assurance series.
      - Need All-Season Performance: If you encounter occasional rain or require better handling, all-season tires like Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 Plus or Goodyear Assurance TripleMax could be suitable.

Based on your preferences and driving conditions, here are some tire recommendations for your Kia Seltos:
      Tires:
      1. Michelin Primacy 4 ST:
      * Pros: Excellent overall balance of comfort, noise reduction, dry/wet grip, and fuel efficiency. Ideal for your 50:50 city/highway driving with good performance in west and mid India's varied weather.
      * Cons: Slightly higher price compared to some other options.
      2. Yokohama BluEarth AE-02:
      * Pros: Good balance of comfort, noise reduction, and wet/dry grip. Affordable option with decent highway performance for your frequent highway drives.
      * Cons: May not be as fuel-efficient as the Michelin Primacy 4 ST.
      3. Continental ComfortContact CC6:
      * Pros: Excellent comfort and noise reduction, good wet grip. Suitable for prioritizing comfort on city drives.
      * Cons: Lower dry grip compared to other options, might not be the best choice for frequent highway driving.
      4. Bridgestone Turanza T005A:
      * Pros: Good balance of comfort, noise reduction, dry/wet grip, and fuel efficiency. Offers decent performance across various driving conditions.
      * Cons: Might not be as quiet as the Michelin Primacy 4 ST or Continental ComfortContact CC6.
      Size:
Upgrading to a 215/65 R16 tire size is a good option for slightly improved handling and ride comfort. However, make sure it doesn't rub against any parts of your car and consult your car's manual for compatibility.
      Brands:
All four brands mentioned above are reputable and offer good quality tires. Ultimately, the best choice for you depends on your specific budget and priorities.
      Additional factors to consider:
      * Seasonality: If you experience extreme winters, consider all-season or winter tires for better performance in those conditions.
      * Load index: Choose a tire with a load index that can handle the maximum weight you typically carry.
      * Speed rating: Select a speed rating that exceeds your typical driving speeds for safety and stability.
      Recommendation:
Considering your priorities and driving conditions, the Michelin Primacy 4 ST would be an excellent choice for you. It offers a well-rounded performance in all aspects you mentioned, including comfort, noise reduction, grip, and fuel efficiency. While slightly more expensive, it provides value for your money, especially with your frequent highway driving.
However, if budget is a major concern, the Yokohama BluEarth AE-02 is a good alternative with decent overall performance.
Remember to consult a tire dealer for professional advice and recommendations based on your specific needs and budget. They can help you choose the perfect tire for your Kia Seltos.

I'm glad you found the video informative! When it comes to choosing new tires for your XUV 300, considering your driving habits, both on highways and off-road, it's essential to select tires that offer good performance and durability.
      1. Michelin Defender LTX M/S: These tires offer a good balance between on-road comfort and off-road capability. They provide excellent traction in various conditions and have a long tread life, which means they should last a significant number of kilometers.
      2. Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3: This tire is designed for both on-road and off-road performance. It provides good traction in different terrains, including gravel and mud, while still offering a comfortable ride on highways. It's known for its durability and long tread life.
      3. Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar: These tires are built to handle a variety of road surfaces, including off-road trails and highways. The Kevlar construction enhances durability and puncture resistance, making them suitable for rugged use.
      4. Continental TerrainContact A/T: This tire offers a good balance of on-road comfort and off-road performance. It's designed to provide excellent traction in both wet and dry conditions, as well as on rough terrain. The durable construction ensures a long lifespan.
In terms of how many kilometers you can expect these tires to last, it largely depends on factors such as driving habits, road conditions, and maintenance. However, with proper care and regular rotation, you can typically expect these tires to last anywhere from 60,000 to 80,000 kilometers or more.

Is there any snow / AT tyre available for Alto 800 of any company

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  4 місяці тому

Unfortunately, there aren't any dedicated snow or all-terrain (AT) tyres specifically made for the Alto 800 in India. This is because the Alto 800 is a hatchback primarily designed for city driving, and snow and AT tyres are meant for more challenging terrains like snow, mud, and gravel.
However, you can consider some alternative options:
      * All-weather tyres: These tyres offer a good compromise between wet and dry performance and can handle occasional light snow. Some popular all-weather tyre options for the Alto 800 include the Michelin CrossClimate+, MRF ZLX, and JK Tyre Elanzo ATX.
      * Tyres with a higher tread depth: Tyres with a deeper tread depth provide better traction in all weather conditions, including snow. You could look for tyres with a tread depth of 8mm or more.
      * Tyre chains: If you're expecting to drive in heavy snow, you can use tyre chains for added traction. However, make sure you choose the right size chains for your tyres and know how to install them properly.
It's important to remember that even with alternative tyres, the Alto 800 is not ideal for driving in deep snow or on icy roads. If you expect to encounter these conditions regularly, it might be better to choose a different car.
Here are some additional tips for driving in snow with the Alto 800:
      * Drive slowly and smoothly.
      * Avoid sudden braking and acceleration.
      * Take corners slowly and wide.
      * Use low gears for better traction.
      * Be aware of your surroundings and anticipate the actions of other drivers.
      I hope this information helps!

Ford Freestyle with 185/60/R15 size, considering you mostly drive on highways:
      1. Goodyear TripleMax Assurance 2:
      - Pros: This is the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) recommended tire for your Freestyle, which means it's designed to match the car's handling and performance characteristics. It offers a good balance of tread life, all-season capability, and wet weather performance.
      - Cons: Might not be the most exciting choice in terms of sporty handling or off-road capability.
      2. Continental ComfortContact CC6:
      - Pros: Known for its quiet and comfortable ride, perfect for highway cruising. It also offers good wet weather performance and decent tread life.
      - Cons: Might not be the best choice for aggressive handling or sporty driving.
      3. Yokohama Earth-1:
      - Pros: A good all-around tire with a focus on fuel efficiency, which can be beneficial for highway driving. It also offers decent wet weather performance and a comfortable ride.
      - Cons: May not be the most durable option for high-performance driving.
Here's a recommendation based on your driving style:
      - If prioritizing comfort, quietness, and fuel efficiency for highway driving, the Continental ComfortContact CC6 or Yokohama Earth-1 are good choices.
      - If you value the OEM recommendation and a balance of performance, the Goodyear TripleMax Assurance 2 is a solid option.

The Goodyear Assurance Maxguard could be a worth considering option for your Ford Freestyle, especially given your highway driving preference. Here's why:
Reasons why Goodyear Assurance Maxguard might be a good fit:
      - Highway Suitability: It's designed with a focus on durability and improved wet performance, both important for highway driving.
      - Newer Technology: Being a new launch, it might incorporate the latest advancements in tread compounds and design for better performance.
      - Goodyear Brand Reputation: Goodyear is a well-respected tire brand known for quality and reliability.
Here's how Maxguard compares to the previous options you considered:
      - Goodyear TripleMax Assurance 2: Maxguard might offer superior durability and wet weather performance, especially if it's a newer design.
      - Continental ComfortContact CC6 & Yokohama Earth-1: Maxguard might be more suited for highway driving due to its focus on durability, while CC6 and Earth-1 prioritize comfort and fuel efficiency.

      - Cons: You've experienced three punctures in 6 years, which might be a concern. Additionally, the ZVTV might not offer the best comfort or fuel efficiency compared to some other options.
      Yokohama and Bridgestone:
      - Pros: Both Yokohama and Bridgestone offer a variety of tire options in your size that could provide better performance in terms of comfort, handling, or fuel efficiency compared to the ZVTV. They might also have improved puncture resistance.
      - Cons: Generally, these brands might be slightly more expensive than MRF.
      MRF ZLX:
      - Pros: An upgrade within the MRF brand, offering a better balance of performance compared to the ZVTV. It might provide some improvement in comfort, handling, and wet weather performance.
      - Cons: It might not be as puncture-resistant as some Yokohama or Bridgestone options, and it might not be the most fuel-efficient choice.
      Considering your situation:
      - Focus on City Driving: Since you mainly use the car in the city, prioritize comfort, fuel efficiency, and puncture resistance.
      - Occasional Road Trips: These factors remain important for occasional highway driving as well.
Here's a recommendation based on your situation:
      - Yokohama BluEarth AE-51: Offers a good balance of comfort, fuel efficiency, wet performance, and decent puncture resistance. It might be a good all-around choice for your driving needs.
      - Bridgestone Turanza T001: Similar to the Yokohama option, offering a balance of comfort, fuel efficiency, and all-season performance. It might be another good contender.
Remember: Even with puncture-resistant tires, proper tire maintenance (inflation checks and rotations) is crucial to minimize the risk of punctures.

      - Excellent handling and grip on highways, with a tough tread pattern for tackling broken roads and light off-roading.

      @TrekBookIndia  Місяць тому

Considering your location and driving needs, as well as the options provided by the dealer, here's a suggestion:
Given that your average drive is low and you're likely looking for a cost-effective option without compromising too much on quality, the CEAT and Goodyear options seem like reasonable choices. CEAT and Goodyear are both reputable tire brands known for offering good value for money.
Between the two, CEAT tires are generally well-regarded for their durability and performance, especially on Indian roads. The CEAT SecuraDrive or CEAT Milaze X3 could be suitable options for your Nexon. These tires offer good grip, handling, and longevity, making them well-suited for varied road conditions, including those in Rajasthan.
Alternatively, if you're willing to spend a bit more for potentially better performance and longevity, the Bridgestone option might be worth considering. Bridgestone tires are known for their quality and reliability, and the extra investment could pay off in terms of longer tread life and better overall performance.

Slightly larger Bridgestone Dueler H/T tires on Innova Crysta's stock alloys:
Since the difference is minor, it's unlikely to cause any major problems.
      Potential Benefits:
      - Improved Handling: marginally better grip and handling due to the increased contact patch with the road.
      - Enhanced Ride Comfort: Taller sidewalls provides slightly softer ride.
      - More aggressive look.
      Potential Considerations:
      - Speedometer might show a slightly lower speed than your actual speed.
      - slightly decrease in Fuel Efficiency

      @TrekBookIndia  2 місяці тому

      - Compatibility Issues: The 250/60/16 tire size may lead to rubbing against fenders or other wheel well parts, potentially causing damage and affecting handling.
      - Performance Impact: The larger tire's increased weight and diameter can negatively influence handling, braking, fuel efficiency, and odometer accuracy.
      - Warranty Concerns: Using a non-stock tire size like 250/60/16 might void the car's warranty.
      - Recommended Brands in Stock Size (205/60 R16):
      - Michelin: Options such as the Primacy 4 ST or Energy XM2+ are renowned for comfort, handling, and durability.
      - Continental: Consider tires like the ContiPremiumContact 5 or ContiEcoContact UC6 for precise handling and performance.
      - Bridgestone: The Dueler H/P Sport and Ecopia EP422 Plus offer a good balance of features.
      - Yokohama: Choose the BluEarth-GT AE51 or Geolandar G055 for a comfortable ride and good grip.
      - Consultation Recommended: Always consult the owner's manual or a certified mechanic before purchasing tires to ensure compatibility with your Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza model and avoid potential issues.

If I upsize or downsize tyre then tyre pressure has to be also changed or car manufacturer recommended pressure can be maintained?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  3 місяці тому

While the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure is a good starting point, it's generally not advisable to maintain the same pressure when upsizing or downsizing tires.
Upsizing may require slightly higher pressure for increased load capacity and firmer handling, while downsizing may need slightly lower pressure for decreased load capacity and a softer ride.
Adjusting pressure ensures safety, optimal handling, and comfort.
Consult load inflation tables or a tire professional for correct pressure recommendations. Prioritize safety and refer to your car's manual for specific guidance.

Here are some top tire recommendations for your Hyundai Elite i20 Sportz (185/65 R15) prioritizing comfort:
      1. Michelin Energy XM2: Known for a quiet and comfortable ride.
      2. Bridgestone Turanza T001: Offers a good balance of comfort and fuel efficiency.
      3. Yokohama BluEarth-A (AE50): Provides a comfortable and quiet ride.
      Additional Options:
      - Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive
      - Continental ComfortContact CC6
These tires feature softer tread compounds, lower noise levels, and flexible sidewall construction for improved comfort. If you previously used MRF ZVTV and found them uncomfortable, explore other MRF options like the MRF Perfinza or MRF Ecopia EP200.

sir i have 195 /55/in ciaz zxi plus, should i upgrade to 205/55 ? and which brand is good for less noise and good enough life

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  3 місяці тому +1

Below answer is for Educational Purpose only and should not be considered professional advice.
Upgrading to 205/55 R16 tires for your Ciaz ZXi Plus can be a good option if you prioritize certain aspects, but there are trade-offs to consider before making a decision. Here's a breakdown:
      Pros of Upgrading:
      * Improved handling: Wider tires generally offer better grip and cornering stability, especially during spirited driving.
      * Enhanced comfort: Taller sidewalls (compared to the stock 55 profile) can provide a slightly softer ride over bumps and imperfections.
      * Potentially better looks: Wider tires can fill the wheel wells more, giving your car a more aggressive stance.
      Cons of Upgrading:
      * Reduced fuel efficiency: Wider tires have higher rolling resistance, which can slightly decrease fuel economy.
      * Potential speedometer inaccuracy: Your speedometer might be slightly off due to the different diameter. Recalibration might be necessary.
      * May affect warranty: Check your warranty terms to ensure upsizing doesn't void it.
      * Potential rubbing issues: Make sure 205/55 R16 tires don't rub against any parts of your car, especially when turning or at full suspension travel.
Brands for Low Noise and Good Life:
Considering your priorities for noise reduction and lifespan, here are some reputable brands with good options:
      * Michelin Primacy 4 ST: Excellent balance of comfort, noise reduction, dry/wet grip, and fuel efficiency.
      * Continental PremiumContact 6: Quiet ride, good handling, and decent wet/dry traction.
      * Bridgestone Turanza T005A: Delivers a quiet, comfortable ride with balanced dry/wet grip.
      * Yokohama BluEarth AE-02: Affordable option with good noise reduction and decent overall performance.
      Recommendation:
Before deciding, carefully weigh the pros and cons of upsizing. If improved handling and a slightly softer ride are important to you, and you're willing to accept the potential downsides, then upgrading to 205/55 R16 tires can be worthwhile.
However, if fuel efficiency, warranty, and avoiding any potential fitment issues are crucial, sticking with the stock size (195/55 R16) might be the better choice.
      Additional Tips:
      * Consult your car's manual: Refer to the manual for recommended tire sizes and any upsizing limitations.
      * Talk to a tire professional: Seek advice from a reputable tire dealer who can consider your specific driving habits and preferences.
      * Consider test-fitting: If possible, try fitting 205/55 R16 tires on your car to check for any clearance issues.
Ultimately, the decision depends on your individual priorities and driving style. By considering all the factors and seeking expert advice, you can choose the best tire size and brand for your Ciaz ZXi Plus.

Considering your monthly and annual mileage, the Yokohama Earth-1 195/55 R16 could be a cost-effective option for your Maruti Baleno. While it offers decent performance and fuel efficiency, it may not be the quietest or longest-lasting tire. Alternatives to consider are the Michelin Primacy 4ST for quietness, Bridgestone Turanza T001 for fuel efficiency, and Continental PremiumContact 2 for balanced performance. Ultimately, choose based on your priorities: affordability, quietness, or handling. Consulting a tire professional is recommended for personalized advice.

      - Michelin Energy XM2: A good balance between affordability, comfort, and extended tread life.

      Recommended Tire Size:
Please note below information is only for educational purpose and final decision to be taken in consultation with dealer or expert.
While staying with the stock size of 215/55 R18 is generally recommended for maintaining optimal handling and performance characteristics as intended by the manufacturer, you can consider slightly upsizing to 225/55 R18 for:
      * Improved comfort: Taller sidewalls offer slightly more cushioning, potentially leading to a smoother ride over bumps and imperfections.
      * Enhanced grip: Wider tread width can provide better traction and cornering stability, especially during spirited driving.
      However, remember that upsizing can:
      * Slightly affect fuel efficiency: Due to increased weight and rolling resistance.
      * Potentially alter speedometer accuracy: Consult your car's manual or a professional for recalibration if necessary.
      * Impact warranty: Check your warranty terms to ensure upsizing doesn't void it.
      Tire Recommendations:
Considering your 70% highway, 30% city driving and all-weather needs in North India, here are some suitable options:
      All-Season:
      * Michelin Primacy 4 ST: Excellent balance of comfort, noise reduction, dry/wet grip, and fuel efficiency. Well-suited for varied weather conditions.
      * Continental PremiumContact 6: Offers a comfortable ride, good handling, and decent wet/dry traction. Performs well in moderate winters.
      * Bridgestone Turanza T005A: Delivers a quiet, comfortable ride with balanced dry/wet grip. Provides decent performance in light winter conditions.
      All-Season with Winter Performance:
      * Michelin CrossClimate 2: Exceptional wet/dry performance and winter capability, including light snow and slush. Ideal for regions with occasional snowfall.
      * Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady: Good balance of all-season grip with improved winter traction for moderate snow and icy conditions.
      * Continental VikingContact 7: Excellent winter performance with strong snow and ice grip, while maintaining decent dry/wet traction. Well-suited for areas with frequent snowfall.
      Important Factors to Consider:
      * Specific weather conditions in your region: If you experience heavy snowfall or icy roads, prioritize tires with strong winter performance like the Michelin CrossClimate 2 or Continental VikingContact 7.
      * Driving style: If you enjoy spirited driving, consider tires with a focus on handling and cornering, such as the Michelin Primacy 4 ST or Continental PremiumContact 6.
      * Noise level preference: If noise reduction is a top priority, the Michelin Primacy 4 ST and Continental ComfortContact CC6 are known for their quietness.
      Additional Tips:
      * Rotate your tires regularly: Ensures even wear and extends tire life.
      * Maintain proper tire pressure: Refer to your owner's manual for recommended pressure based on load and driving conditions.
      * Get regular wheel alignments: Ensures optimal tire performance and prevents uneven wear.
I hope this comprehensive response helps you choose the perfect tires for your Hyundai Alcazar!

So I was checking sizes of Michelin they do not have 225/55r 18 in PRIMACY 4 ST but they do have the same tyre available in PRIMACY 4 ( what is the difference between PRIMACY 4 ST & PRIMACY 4 )

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  3 місяці тому

You're right, Michelin Primacy 4 ST isn't available in the size 225/55 R18. However, there are some key differences between Primacy 4 and Primacy 4 ST that might help you decide:
      Primacy 4:
      * Global tire: Designed for global markets and diverse driving conditions.
      * Focus on fuel efficiency: Optimized rolling resistance for improved fuel economy.
      * Balanced performance: Delivers good grip on wet and dry roads, along with comfort and noise reduction.
      * Lower noise level: Uses SilentGrip technology for a quieter ride.
      * Wide range of sizes: Available in more sizes compared to Primacy 4 ST.
      Primacy 4 ST:
      * Regional tire: Specifically designed for Asia-Pacific markets with hot and humid conditions.
      * Focus on silence: Improved noise reduction compared to Primacy 4.
      * Good wet grip: Optimized for wet road performance in tropical climates.
      * Limited sizes: Available in fewer sizes compared to Primacy 4.
      In your case:
      * Since you prioritize comfort and want slightly larger tires, Primacy 4 in 225/55 R18 could be a suitable option, even though it doesn't have the "ST" designation. It still offers good comfort, noise reduction, and wet grip, though fuel efficiency might be slightly lower than the Primacy 4 ST.
      * If you absolutely need the enhanced noise reduction of the Primacy 4 ST, consider contacting Michelin directly to see if they can provide the specific size you need.
      * Remember that upsizing to 225/55 R18 might slightly impact speedometer accuracy and fuel efficiency. Consult your car's manual or a professional for potential recalibration if needed.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on your specific priorities and whether the noise reduction of the Primacy 4 ST is crucial for you. Consider the pros and cons of each option and consult a tire professional for their recommendations based on your local conditions and driving style.@@varunsethi6336

Overall, the MRF Wanderer Sport 215/65 R16 is a good mid-range option for drivers who prioritize durability, comfort, and value for money. It's suitable for everyday driving in various weather conditions. However, if you prioritize sporty handling or excellent dry grip, other options might be better suited.

Hello Sir, I have 2 questions. 1) First being I'm planning to buy Scorpio N new model which comes with 17 inches alloys and tyre profile being 245/65/R17 and im planning to upgrade them to 18 inches alloys with tyre profile being 255/60/R18. I am upgrading it for the looks. So do you think I should upgrade and would the upgrade in tyre size affect major mileage difference? 2) My second question is. What tyre brand and specific model should i go for? My main use would be in the city and highway. Pls suggest and reply sir. Thank you!

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 місяці тому

      1. Upgrading Tires on Mahindra Scorpio N:
You can upgrade the tires on your Scorpio N to 18 inches with a profile of 255/60/R18 for aesthetic reasons. However, there are some trade-offs to consider:
      - Mileage: A larger and heavier tire can slightly decrease fuel efficiency.
      - Speedometer Variance: Since the new tires are slightly larger in diameter, your speedometer might show a slightly lower speed than your actual speed.
      - Fender Rubbing: In rare cases, with very aggressive driving or a full load, there's a slight chance the tires might rub against the fender liners.
      - Performance: While barely noticeable, the handling might be slightly less sharp due to the taller sidewall flexing more.
Overall, the impact on mileage and performance shouldn't be significant.

      2. Tire Brand and Model Recommendations:
      - Michelin Primacy 4+ SUV: Offers a balance of comfort, handling, and all-season performance with good fuel efficiency.
      - Continental CrossContact LX Sport: Designed for SUVs with decent handling and all-season capabilities, but may lack an aggressive tread pattern.
      - Yokohama BluEarth AE51 SUV: Focuses on comfort, quietness, and fuel efficiency with good handling for city and highway driving.
      - Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus: Offers a sportier look with good all-season performance but may come with a higher price tag and slightly lower fuel efficiency.

      2. Smoother Ride with quieter tread pattern.
      3. Reduced Vibration for a comfortable driving experience.

Weaknesses: Not the quietest tire, Decent handling but may lack high-performance capabilities
Overall: Bridgestone Sturdo offers durability and grip, with slight compromises on noise and handling.

Considering your driving habits and the size of your Renault Kwid's current tires (155/80 R13), it seems like you prioritize fuel efficiency and comfort over high-speed performance. For your usage pattern and preferences, I recommend the following tire options:
      1. Michelin Energy XM2: Known for excellent fuel efficiency, longevity, and a comfortable ride, the Michelin Energy XM2 is a suitable choice for city driving and occasional highway trips. It provides good grip and braking performance.
      2. Bridgestone B290: Another solid option for your requirements, the Bridgestone B290 offers a balance of fuel efficiency, comfort, and decent handling. It's a reliable choice for urban commuting and infrequent long drives.
      3. Apollo Amazer 4G Life: If you're looking for a budget-friendly option without compromising too much on performance, the Apollo Amazer 4G Life is worth considering. It provides a comfortable ride and is known for its durability.
If you're open to a size upgrade, you could consider moving to 165/70 R13 for a slightly wider tire. This can enhance stability and cornering performance without significantly affecting fuel efficiency. Always consult with a tire professional or check your vehicle's manual to ensure that the chosen size is compatible with your car.
Remember to maintain proper tire pressure and schedule regular tire rotations for even wear.

You have two options for your Honda City VX tires:
      1. Stick with Stock Size (185/55 R16):
      - Ensures optimal performance as intended by the manufacturer.
      - Benefits include balanced handling, fuel efficiency, and accurate odometer readings.
      2. Upsize to 195/55 R16:

Based on your driving mix (40% city, 60% highway) and desire for a 15-inch rim upgrade, consider:
      Efficiency and Balance:

      - Yokohama BluEarth AE51: Focuses on comfort and efficiency; look for larger sizes for improved handling and quieter rides.

Considering your daily runs of 80-150 kms in both rural and urban areas around Aligarh, here are some suggested tires that might be a good fit for your Tata Altroz XT (2021):
      *Focus on Balance:
      * Michelin Primacy 4+: Offers a good balance of comfort, handling, and all-season performance. It performs well on both wet and dry roads.
      * Continental PremiumContact 5: Similar to the Primacy 4+, this tire provides a balance of comfort, handling, and wet/dry performance.
Focus on Durability for Rural Roads:
      * MRF Wanderer: A good option if you encounter rough or unpaved roads frequently. It offers a more aggressive tread pattern for better grip on loose surfaces but might have slightly more road noise compared to the previous options.
      * Bridgestone Duravis: Another option known for its durability and extended tread life. It might be a good choice if maximizing tire life is a priority for your mixed driving conditions.

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  Місяць тому

There isn't a single "best" tire company for a Tata Tiago, as the best choice depends on your priorities and driving style.
Here are some popular options in India, considering factors like quality, performance, and budget:
      Popular Brands for Tata Tiago:
      - Michelin: Known for excellent comfort, quiet ride, good fuel efficiency, and long tread life. Michelin Primacy 4+ or Energy XM2 are popular choices for Tiago. (Consider the higher price point)
      - Continental: Offers a good balance of comfort, handling, and performance. Popular options include ContiComfortContact 5 and PremiumContact 5. (Similar price range to Michelin)
      - Bridgestone: Offers a wide range of tires, including options focused on durability (B290, Duravis) or a balance of performance (Turanza T001). (Slightly less expensive than Michelin/Continental on average)
      - MRF: A well-regarded domestic brand known for its affordability and durability. ZVTV, Wanderer T77 are common choices for Tiago. (Most affordable option)
      - Apollo: Another good domestic brand offering a balance of performance and value. Acelere, Amazer 4G Life are popular options for Tiago. (More affordable than Michelin/Continental, but slightly more than MRF)
      Choosing the Right Tire:
Here are some factors to consider when selecting tires for your Tata Tiago:
      - Driving Style: If you prioritize comfort and fuel efficiency, choose tires like Michelin Primacy 4+ or Energy XM2. For a sportier feel, consider Continental ContiSportContact 5.
      - Budget: Michelin and Continental tend to be on the premium side, while MRF and Apollo are more affordable.
      - Road Conditions: If you encounter rough roads frequently, prioritize durability with options like MRF Wanderer T77.
      - Weather Conditions: If you drive in all weather conditions, choose tires with good wet performance, like Michelin Primacy 4+ or Continental ContiSportContact 5.

Considering your requirements for durability, smooth ride, and performance in the 215/60 R16 size, here's a comparison of the options:
Goodyear Assurance TripleMax 2: Offers a balanced mix of comfort, handling, and longevity. Not the quietest, but known for good wear resistance.
Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard: Focuses on durability with enhanced sidewalls for puncture resistance. Might sacrifice some comfort for toughness.
MRF Perfinza: Affordable option with daecent performance, but may not last as long as the Goodyear tires. Offers good value for budget-conscious buyers.
      Recommendation:
      - Goodyear Assurance TripleMax 2: Balanced choice for overall performance.
      - Goodyear Assurance MaxGuard: Prioritize durability and puncture resistance.
      - MRF Perfinza: Budget-friendly option with acceptable performance.

Yokohama earth 1 which pattern? please reply

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  21 день тому

The Yokohama Earth-1 tire uses an asymmetric tread pattern. This means the inner and outer sections of the tread have different designs:
      - Inner tread: The inner tread is typically designed for good wet weather performance and features larger grooves to channel water away and improve hydroplaning resistance.
      - Outer tread: The outer tread is usually designed for better handling and dry performance. It may have smaller tread blocks and a more continuous design to provide good grip during cornering and braking.
Here are some benefits of an asymmetric tread pattern for the Yokohama Earth-1:
      - Improved handling: The different designs on the inner and outer tread can help to improve handling in both wet and dry conditions.
      - Enhanced wet weather performance: The larger grooves on the inner tread help to evacuate water and reduce the risk of hydroplaning.
      - Good dry performance: The outer tread design can provide good grip for cornering and braking on dry roads.
      - Longer tread life: The variation in tread design can help to promote more even wear and tear, potentially extending the tire's lifespan.
While the specific details of the Yokohama Earth-1's tread pattern design might not be publicly available, knowing it's an asymmetric tread should give you a good idea of its functionality.

Can I use two rear directional tyres and two front symmetric tyres

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  5 місяців тому

It's generally not recommended to mix different types of tires on the same axle. Using two rear directional tires and two front symmetric tires on the same car can impact the vehicle's handling, stability, and overall performance.
Directional tires are designed to rotate in one direction for optimal performance, usually marked with an arrow indicating the intended rotation. On the other hand, symmetric (non-directional) tires can rotate in either direction without affecting performance.
Mismatched tires can lead to uneven wear, reduced traction, and handling issues. For the best results in terms of safety and performance, it's advisable to use a full set of either directional or symmetric tires, as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
If you're considering changing tire types, it's crucial to consult your car's manual or contact the manufacturer for guidance on the appropriate tire specifications for your specific make and model.

Thanks for the information,, I think Yokohama tyres are good for hilly areas

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 місяці тому

You're partially right! Yokohama does offer tires suitable for hilly areas, but it depends on the specific type of Yokohama tire.
      1) Yokohama Geolandar Series: Tailored for SUVs and trucks, providing on-road and off-road capabilities.
      - Geolandar A/T (All-Terrain): Suitable for SUVs facing light off-road conditions like gravel roads or mild trails.
      - Geolandar M/T (Mud-Terrain): Offers aggressive tread for serious off-roading, less suited for everyday hilly driving.

      2) Yokohama BluEarth Winter: While not exclusive to hilly areas, this winter tire ensures traction in snow and cold weather conditions, beneficial in certain hilly regions.
      3) Yokohama ADVAN Sport: High-performance tire engineered for sporty handling on paved roads, less ideal for hilly off-road terrains.
      4) Yokohama BluEarth AE51: An all-season tire prioritizing comfort, quietness, and fuel efficiency, suitable for paved roads in hilly areas but not for off-roading.

Which car tyre has the best side wall strength sir

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 місяці тому

Pinpointing a single tire with the absolute best sidewall strength is challenging due to various influencing factors, and manufacturers typically don't disclose specific sidewall strength ratings.
Ingeneral you can look for -
      Reinforced Sidewall Construction:
      - Seek out tires marketed with terms such as "reinforced sidewall" or "sidewall protection."
      Higher Load Index:
      - The load index of a tire indicates its capacity to carry weight. A higher load index could imply a more robust sidewall construction capable of handling heavier loads, although it isn't the sole determinant of sidewall strength.
      Plz Note:
While sidewall strength is crucial, it's just one aspect to consider. Opt for tires that strike a balance between sidewall strength and other essential factors such as Treadwear, Grip, Noise levels.
