Brought my new Glock 42 to the range last week. No issues, except the slide release was very tight. Will this resolve on its own or should i have it adjusted? Very hard to operate with my thumb, and i ended up racking more often than not. Only fired 100 rounds this trip.
It should loosen up a bit. That being said, I would train to rack it anyway. Racking the slide is a gross motor skill, while using the slide release is more of a fine motor skill. Under stress fine motor skills are more difficult. While under stress we revert to our training and it is better to train with a gross motor skill. You will have a higher likelihood of success if you revert to a gross motor skill instead of a fine motor skill.

How is the recoil?
Since the 42 is .380, hardly any recoil, my 43x and 45 9mm are kinda snappy.
Use the slide itself, not the release switch.
Looks too small for you maybe a Glock 20 would fit you better.
Feel about the seme as my g43
Just bought one for 400$
Good deal! That's what I paid for mine used.
Wow !!! Keep it up
Just bought one yesterday. Brand spanking new $319. Gotta love blue label pricing.
That's good !!! Deals are the best
Me also. $333 new
Old model, Gen 5 much better
its a glock ! it did not glock back
I like the 42 but no way id trust it to save or take lives when it matters. Good for a backup i guess
It’s not auto. It’s semi auto.
Semantics. Don't be that guy
I hope you’re kidding
I hope you’re kidding
@MrSuzukiyamaha you do understand that "auto" is part of the cartridge name right? ".380 auto"
You should really try speaking less often.
"Auto" in this context means auto loading, not semi automatic vs. full auto. As in Automatic Colt Pistol (45 acp, 32 acp, 380 acp) Been that way for over a hundred years...
